  • Great island, great condo, great vacation!

"We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful condo. The condo is very clean, spacious, well stocked and beautifully furnished. The owners have thought of absolutely everything. We enjoyed the balcony and the patio doors. There was no need to use the air conditioning as there was always a cooling breeze. We found the door code so much more convenient than having to worry about keys. The biggest problem for us was deciding to spend our day at one of the 3 pools or the nearby beaches. There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. The island is beautiful and the locals are very friendly and helpful. We were 4 women and always felt welcome and safe. We didn't bother with a car as the taxis are plentiful and not expensive. The owners were very easy to work with and provided us with lots of information and helpful tips. Thank you Wynona for sharing your beautiful home with us."

  • Happy once again!!

"I have stayed at this resort twice and will return in the future. The gym has been expanded since I was last there and has a lot of room and equipment to offer. And now there is a larger lounge/bar area outside near the lobby. The staff are always pleasant and helpful no matter where you are on the property. The pool and hot tubs did close earlier than usual which was disappointing - no one was allowed in the pools after 8P as opposed to 10P. The resort is close to anything you might need if it isn't somewhere on the Marriott property itself. You do not need to rent a car. I was very sad to leave!!"

  • Lovely Condo

"This is a lovely condo located in Ocean Club (East) that has all we needed for a relaxing 7 night stay. We arrived early so Bob and Cathy allowed us to place our baggage in the condo while it was being cleaned after previous renters had just departed. The unit was bright and kept nicely. It had all the essentials needed to have a casual breakfast or lunch. This was a great help as restaurant dining can become quite expensive on the island. We were able to jump on the Ocean Club shuttle that dropped us off near the center where we shopped at the Salt Mills complex. This saved us taxi fares and was very convenient. The Ocean Club facilities have nice oceanside dining (grouper!) at reasonable prices. The experience of Carribean breezes, crashing waves and candlelit tables was incredible. Coco Bistro proved to be a beautiful dining experience among the palms. For fun, we rented a scooter to buzz around the island. Bob and Cathy gave us some great times to enhance our first experience vacationing at Turks and Caicos. The prepaid cell phone was a nice convenience. I would recommend this condo to others who want all the amenities that a fine resort can offer yet at a reasonable rate. We look forward to returning to paradise!"

  • Great place.

"Great place to stay. 5 minute walk to the beach. Living among the locals, not a resort. The apartment was even prettier in person. Would recommend getting a rental car while there to explore the island."

Anguilla Travel Tips

Activities and Attractions at Anguilla Vacation Rentals

Anguilla is a tropical paradise located in the Caribbean. It is an island known for its beautiful beaches and calm turquoise waters. It’s a place where you can relax, and be as active or lazy as you choose. Many people visit simply to be able to enjoy the beautiful white beach sands, warm tropical sun and delicious rum cocktails. But if you’d like to be a little more active than that, there are plenty of great activities. The calm turquoise waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You can visit the reefs and watch the many colorful tropical reef fish dart between the corals. For certified divers, you can explore the underwater wonders by signing up with one of the dive charters.

The national sport of Anguilla is sailing and when the weather is good, you’ll see all types and sizes of sailing craft out on the water. The winds provide ideal sailing conditions and regattas are often held throughout the year. Sea kayaking is a great way to explore the coastline. Protected by the barrier reefs, most of the coastline is relatively calm. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can go out beyond the reefs for a day of fishing. The experienced skippers will be able to take you to where the fish are biting.

No visit to Anguilla is complete without taking a boat cruise. You can choose from a slow and steady glass-bottomed boat to a luxurious high-speed cruiser. There are also several yachts available for day charters and cruises on the island. On land, you can enjoy a round of golf or many leisurely hours of walking. You could even explore the interior on horseback. Then there are also the vibrant restaurants, beach bars, shops and markets to keep you entertained.

Visitors to Anguilla Villas

Anguilla attracts visitors who love the sunshine and warm tropical weather. Many people visit the island from December to April to escape from the colder northern climates. It’s a little slice of tropical paradise that is an ideal sun vacation destination. Because of its natural beauty, it is a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings. There’s nothing quite as romantic as strolling along a beautiful beach at sunset and feeling the gentle ocean breeze in your hair. Yachtsmen can enjoy sailing in the bays with the consistently good winds. Scuba divers can enjoy the underwater reefs and magnificent marine life. Anyone who enjoys beach, sun and water sports will enjoy a stay on Anguilla.

Getting to Anguilla Resort Rentals

Most flights to Anguilla from the United States route via Puerto Rico. From there, there are several flights weekly that connect on to Anguilla. An alternative that is often cheaper and more convenient is to fly directly to the neighboring island of St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick island hop across to Anguilla. From St. Maartten, it is a quick 20-minute ferry trip to get across to Anguilla. If traveling from Europe, there are several airlines that have direct flights into St. Maarten. You can, of course, also route via Puerto Rico if you choose.

Best Seasons to Travel to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Anguilla

Anguilla enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. While the sun may shine all year, the seasons are dictated mostly by the rainfall rather than by how hot it is. The most popular time of year to visit is during the cooler months which are from December to April. You’ll want to be cautious about traveling in May as there are frequently storms that blow through. The summer months of June to September are very hot and humid, and heavy rains generally occur in October.
