  • Mick and Sue from England

"What can I say, this Villa and it's location will leave you speechless, the pictures and description as seen on the web accurately reflect the paradise setting. It is amazing. it is the perfect place to have a relaxing, everything catered for stay, hire a buggy, to go to the very large supermarket it sells everything, and you need never leave the Villa. Your continental breakfast is delivered every morning by a very pleasant and helpfull lady who will make your bed and clean the villa. I would recommend this place to anyone and I don't think they would be disappointed. We ate at the Greek restaurant, but really enjoyed The Castaways Beach restaurant, which as it's name suggests is right on the beach, the food was delicious and size of the portions were very good, the staff were extremely pleasant making it a wonderful evening. A wonderful location."

  • Marvelous house

"As mentioned by other reviewers, you will be astonished at the size of this house. It would be difficult to locate on your own but luckily Lillian will guide you to the house. The patio is huge and divided into 3 separate areas. We thoroughly enjoyed have coffee on the patio each morning as we watched the cruise ships sail into port. The rooms are all very large. Bedrooms have fans as well as AC although we never used the AC and rarely turned on the fans. There was always a breeze. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, coffeemaker, etc. There are even beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels, cooler and boogie boards. There is a phone available for local calls which was very nice since we arranged a few tours. You can walk to a few restaurants and some beach areas but I would suggest renting a car. The only thing that was missing for us was internet access BUT we were trying to relax!!! The property was clean and the photos are very accurate. I would recommend this house to anyone. We took day tours to Barbuda & Montserrat. Don't miss the Stingray Cay tour. It is pricey but where else can you swim with stingrays!! We tried various restaurants and found them pricey with so so food. The grocery is nearby and we managed to make our own food on several occasions. Cococut Grove was very nice with a beach setting and reasonably price with good lunch menu. Blu Pineapple nearby was ok. Bay house was ok. Our deposit was promptly returned. Can't go wrong with this house."

  • Another great stay at Point of View!

"We are recently back from our second two week stay at Point of View. We first stayed at the property in 2012 and had been dreaming of a return trip ever since our plane left Antiguan soil on that trip. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage daughters and are now very comfortable getting around the island. As with our first trip we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Katherine was (again) extremely helpful and always full of great information on the island. With our trip coinciding with Antigua Carnival there was a much larger number of tourists and activities available on the island during this trip (which was very nice). Beyond seeing the island many of our favorite days were spent sitting around Point of View and enjoying the villa. Some tips: -Be prepared to get a local drivers license (~$20usd) and a 4wd vehicle. You will quickly get used to driving on the left hand side of the road (if you don't already). A 4wd vehicle is extremely helpful on the island in general and especially to get up the mountain to Point of View. A good map or GPS makes your trip much less stressful. -If you travel to Antigua in the off-season (like we do) plan on arriving with an idea of the restaurants and other sites/activities you want to hit and make sure you call ahead to check to see if they are open. Many have off-season schedules. We did this and had a great experience. We actually liked many of their FB pages in the weeks leading up to our trip so we knew what events were going on and what specials the restaurants had. Some of our favorites: Touloulou's, Trappas, OJs, Copper and Lumber (Friday night seafood), and the always popular Sunday party at Shirley Heights. -Don't "overplan" in Antigua and be prepared to live on "island time" for awhile. Everything happens at a different pace there so go with it and make up some (or most) of your schedule as you go. You'll enjoy it more this way :) -Get out on the water. We love the beaches and have been to a bunch of them (Favorites: Rendezvous Bay, Halfmoon Bay, Valley Church, and Jolly Beach). We also loved taking a Catamaran out to Barbuda (BEAUTIFUL beaches and great trip). This year we chartered a sailboat for a day (the Jabberwocky through http://www.adventurecaribbean.com/) and HIGHLY recommend it. We can't recommend Point of View enough and we're already scouring our calendar for open dates for our next trip."

  • Azura was amazing

"We recently stayed at Villa Azura for two weeks and it was fantastic. The Villa is modern, beautifully decorated, makes perfect use of outdoor and indoor space and is ideal for families. Not to mention the view, which is breath-taking. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Amanda (the owner) was a pleasure to deal and provided lots of information and directions to help us get settled into island life. At this point I have seen lots of villas on Antigua, and Villa Azura and Villa Kulala (Amanda's other property next door) are two of the absolutely nicests ones on the island. I'd recommend Villa Azura to anyone who wants to have their dream stay in Antigua."
