"We just returned from a 9 day stay in this villa. This is our first experience staying off an all inclusive resort and we found it much more relaxing, and less scheduled than staying on resort.
The villa was spotless and contained everything we needed. My husband and I could not think of one item that was lacking - it was perfect! We were particularly excited to see the blender when we entered, along with a recipe book for making Caribbean drinks, which we made good use of daily! And, of course, thank you very much for the welcome beer and milk in the refrigerator!
I particularly enjoyed the direction the patio faced as we got the morning sun right from sun up. I sat there each morning with my book and my rum cream coffee - what a treat. And the walk to the North beach is very short. We spent a lot of time there both in the afternoon, and watching the the sunset in the evening. We loved that both beaches were not in any way crowded. We did walk everywhere - we wanted to do this for the exercise - but if you plan to do so you must bring a good pair of walking shoes.
We enjoyed the restaurants very much - particularly lunch at the Crow's Nest and dinner at Al Port. We found the prices very reasonable, and the food was excellent.
All in all, a fabulous place to stay! Thank you Elton and Jayne - you have a real gem there!"

"Other reviews have said it all really. Bamboo house is a wonderfully relaxing base for exploring the Island. The L-shaped veranda is perfect for leisurely breakfasts spent watching the Caribs (hummingbirds) feed. We loved the hammock too - a great place for getting some reading in before being gently rocked to sleep! We'd recommend a hire car for getting around the Island despite Antigua being very small. Joanne was a great host - always there to help and offer advice but at the same time respecting our privacy. Others have commented about some difficulty in locating Bamboo house but we found Joanne's instructions to be spot on. It is true that the roads leading to the property are rough but then the same goes for parts of the main roads - you really do have to be very alert when driving for sudden gaps in the road. Thoroughly recommended."

"What can I say....we keep coming back! This is the 3rd year in a row and we really love this place. Hard to beat it's proximity to the water and the amazing view from the rooftop patio. The kitchen is lovely, the beds are comfy. We also really like being able to get to the grocery store and restaurants by golf cart. Thanks for another great vacation!"

"Because the owners go out of their way to make your vacation the best possible. We were staying with our 1.5 yr old grandson and he got an upper respiratory infection. We called Lou and she came and got my daughter and her son, drove them to a doctor and then drove them around to get a prescription. She really was the absolute best to take her time to help us out. The layout is the best for larger groups. Love all the outdoor living areas. This is a great vacation rental and in addition you'll get personal help with things that come up on a trip!"
