Loved it! Villa Sea Glass, Jolly Harbour Beach, Sugar Ridge, Antigua
"My wife and I with our 3 adult children stayed at this villa on beautiful Antigua for a week in October 2015. It was awesome - both the place and the island. The villa is high-end, super clean and well maintained. Every bedroom has it's own on-suite - there's no second class room (although my wife and I shotgun'd the master suite! :)). The views over Jolly Harbour are beauty for sure. The beach is a short walk or a 2 minute drive. We visited a lot of different beaches and so Jolly Harbour is pretty central to the island.
The front of the villa has a series of patio doors that open up to terrace and pool - fantastic for breakfast. And the pool is perfect for cooling off or relaxing after a day on the beach. A nice touch was the mid-week cleaning and linen change. I'd recommend this place for sure - either for a family or 3 or 4 couples - lots of room and privacy for entertaining."

"Fantastic villa and location. Lots of room for two little kids to run around and the pool was at our door step. Kids club was great and the kids loved all the activities. Resort is in the south so would recommend hiring a car to explore other parts of the island and shopping. Thanks Peter for a great holiday."

"We spent a glorious week at Marisol over the 2015 New Year holiday. The setting is spectacular and the house is very well furnished and cleaned. We were lucky to meet Valli and her daughter, who overlapped the first few days in the house next door. The were both extremely helpful and very nice people. The garden and views were fabulous. There are several porches that are very pleasant spots to sit and read or just soak in the surroundings. We like to watch birds, and were entertained by hummingbirds, bannanquits, flycatchers, and many others from dawn to dusk. Pleasant breezes kept us cool at night and were never hot during the day. The beach was a few minutes away, just walk down a spectacular garden path and you are there. Excellent swimming beach. A pleasant 30 minute walk takes you to Devil's Bridge National Park, which is on a dramatic peninsula jutting out into the Atlantic, with surf crashing over the rocks. We recommend dinner at the nearby Verandah resort (walk over to reserve at their best restaurant, Nicole's, and get the lobster thermidor!). We explored a lot of the island by rental car, and especially enjoyed Half Moon Bay and a boat ride to Green Island from Harmony Hall (excellent lunch there too). We highly recommend this house as an awesome place to stay at in Antigua."

"The pictures are tremendous, but don’t give the place justice, as they can’t capture the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks below, or the healthy wind that blows refreshingly and constantly. A great way to capture the magnitude of the view; we could see the villa clearly while swimming with stingrays at a sandbar the might easily be 10-15 kms away.
The beach is truly only a 2 minute walk down a very well maintained path. Long Bay is very nice and while a little busy when the cruise ships are in, is virtually all yours in the morning and by 5:00 p.m. Snorkeling off the beach won’t blow the experienced away, but was still solid fun for the family. Had drinks on Marina’s restaurant deck most days and she and her staff were very nice. Marina was also very responsive and available for arriving/departing and any other questions we might have had through the week.
The villa itself was very well stocked. We did a lot of cooking and found any tool necessary. The BBQ was solid as well, with a nice Kenmore 4-burner that reached nice high heats allowing for some quality grilling. Lots of deck furniture, including two large tables. Beds were comfortable in the main house. We didn’t rent the cottage, but had a look inside and it’s a nice option for larger groups with kids.
As others have stated, the gardens are expansive and very nice. Dwight the gardener is a great guy.
You really should rent a car. Loved Antigua, the people are awesome. You should see the island and the guest book is filled with great recommendations. Every one we followed was on the money. Half Moon and Smiling Harry’s was a classic example of a little risk with tremendous reward.
Lisa was a joy to deal with throughout the entire process. We had an absolutely fantastic vacation."
