"Just returned from a most wonderful week at the Gordon House. Thanks Gregory Gordon for sharing this wonderful property, thanks Amanda for making the booking process seamless, and to Marilyn, for showing us the real beauty of the Antiguian people. There are many reasons to love the Gordon House. The privacy, the views, the house itself is spacious and charming. I, along with my 2 sisters and mother, felt completey safe all week. The kitties, Carribean and Wadadli, are a wonderful addition as well. They made us laugh every day, and also provided a practical side. The house is virtually bug free thanks to those cats. We cooked for ourselves, and Marilyn came every other day to tidy things up (laundry etc). We shopped at Island Provisions which is on the road from the airport, so we stocked up with food etc before heading to the house. We paid $600US to rent a vehicle for the week, but don't expect a new vehicle. The brakes were loud, but it served us well all week. We were able to swim directly off our property at all times of the day and felt completly safe as it is in a bay not exposed to open ocean. Long bay beach is a 5-6 walk down the road and even my 75 year old mother had no problem navigating the one hill. This beach is great for all ages, gorgeous white sand and gentle waters as well. We took one afternoon to explore St John's, but really couldn't wait to get back to Gordon House. Highly recommend the Gordon House for anyone looking for peace, privacy and getting to know the real Antigua."

"We stayed at Sapodilla Cottage over the week of 4th of July. This is a very slow time on the island with lots of businesses closed following the winter/spring season but we loved the relaxed pace and lack of crowds. We were originally booked in the Birds and Bees cottage but due to a scheduling mix up, ended up in Sapodilla (Janie was very gracious about reducing the cost due to the changed). The cottage itself is packed with charm. At first we were unsure about the smaller kitchen and overall living area of Sapodilla but found that it worked quite well for 2 people and was much more private than the other cottage. A few things could be improved in the kitchen (sharper knives and scissors would be my main suggestion) but otherwise, we found everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner each day. We loved the open-air nature of the cottage, especially the outdoor shower and hammock on the verandah. While it was the height of summer, the ceiling fan and island breezes made it comfortable to sleep at night. We also enjoyed the company of Janie's dogs who would come to visit us in the morning and evenings as well as the company of loads of birds and geckos on the porch. We visited Half Moon, Rendezvous, Pigeon and Darkwood Beaches -- each had its own distinct personality and all were wonderful (note: you really need a 4WD vehicle to get to Rendezvous; it's an adventure. And when you go to Darkwood get lunch from Mrs. George's stand). Janie was extremely helpful both before and during our visit. She recommended Titi Rent a Car and we had a great experience with them. Titi himself picked us up from and returned us to the airport so that we wouldn't have to struggle with directions. All in all, our week at Sapodilla Cottage could be summed up as peaceful. If I return to Antigua, Janie will be the first person I call!"

"What a stunning location. If you wanted to be off the grid for awhile, this is the place. Private and peaceful. We, as animal lovers welcomed the on-site caretaker's dogs and cats Smudge, Roxy, Moe and Not Moe. Meals and coffee from the poolside veranda are required. You will understand when you visit. Places to visit are Shirley Heights for cocktails and sunsets, Nelson's Dockyard and the various ruins around the Island. The only complete windmill I saw was Betty's Hope. Interesting to me to think back as to how it must have been when the island was blanketed with sugar cane plantations. Snorkel Cades Reef and Jolly Harbour. While at Jolly Harbour get you provisions at The Epicurean Grocery. I can't think of a better, more relaxing holiday than the one we experienced at "Point of View". We can't wait to return."

"Had a wonderful two weeks in Peter's villa. The location and amenities were perfect. We have two teenage boys so we were looking for somewhere that had great facilities and opportunities for them to do things and at the same time find a relaxing and peaceful break for my wife an I. The villa and St. James Club delivered everything we had hoped for and the holiday was a great success. The villa is very well appointed and has everything you could need. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the kitchen had everything we needed and we even had a few BBQ's on the balcony in the evening. The villa was cleaned three times a week and the management company he uses were very responsive and dealt with the few minor issues we had and also a great source of local knowledge and made great restaurant recommendations. A great holiday and some great memories. Would highly recommend the villa. Peter was a great owner and always quick to respond and always very courteous which made the experience of renting painless!"
