  • Perfect family vacation

"I would like to thanks Alan and his wife for sharing their home with us. The home is about 30 minutes from the airport. We rented a car from Dollar rent a car (great sevice and brand new suv) and it was very easy to drive on the island. There are multiple grocery stores on the way, we decided to stop at the Epicurian in St Johns. You will find everything you need at that store. There are also many banks with instant teller machines around that area. The drive to Antigua Highlands is very nice. Antiguans are very courteous on the road. as you arrive at the villa the view is just amazing. We were welcomed by Elerene, the house keeper. She is so nice and she made ourselves feel at home right away. She came to the home everyday to make sure everything was fine and she even did our laundry. The home is big, very clean, fully equipped, comfortable, lots of space to move around, very high ceiling and so beautiful. They have a front patio with a BBq and chairs and a large table. In the backyard, which is facing the ocean, there is a large deck with a spectacular view of Half Moon Bay. This beach is quiet, clean and the water so clear. You can either enjoy the big waves or move to the extreme corners of the beach where the sand is like powder and the water is calm with no waves. There is a reef barrier making those parts of the beach very popular. There is a restaurant/bar on the beach ran by Smiling Harry. It is good but the service very slow, 45 minutes for 5 hot dogs seems long for me. Most of the meals were spent at the home anyway, it is so convenient. At night, we enjoyed the background noise from the wind and the waves. No loud music or screaming like that you find at different resorts. The internet and the cable TV works great. Our family voted to go back again. We felt safe and at home right away. This is by far one of the best home that I have rented in the carribean."

  • Antigua 2014

"Had a wonderful two weeks in Peter's villa. The location and amenities were perfect. We have two teenage boys so we were looking for somewhere that had great facilities and opportunities for them to do things and at the same time find a relaxing and peaceful break for my wife an I. The villa and St. James Club delivered everything we had hoped for and the holiday was a great success. The villa is very well appointed and has everything you could need. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the kitchen had everything we needed and we even had a few BBQ's on the balcony in the evening. The villa was cleaned three times a week and the management company he uses were very responsive and dealt with the few minor issues we had and also a great source of local knowledge and made great restaurant recommendations. A great holiday and some great memories. Would highly recommend the villa. Peter was a great owner and always quick to respond and always very courteous which made the experience of renting painless!"

  • Shell Villa as a wedding venue

"During August 2014 my then Fiancée and I stayed at Shell Villa for two weeks during which time we were married at the villa itself. From the time of our arrival at the airport, being greeted by our driver and guide, to the very last day when our wonderful housekeeper helped us with our luggage, nothing was too much trouble for any member of the Shell Villa 'team'. The property was immaculately presented, with a few surprise extras in the kitchen department. Our introduction was friendly, informative and very supportive. That is how it went for the next two weeks. A friendly, supportive team who were always available at the end of the phone but who never got in the way. The location is as special as the villa itself. The villa, the sea, the grounds and surrounds made a perfect backdrop to the wedding. Over the whole two weeks we enjoyed and relaxed so much that a return visit is a must. The villa gets a top star rating in our books. Two very happy people."

  • Great Time

"Both units are great...simple, very efficient and clean with a nice quiet beach only steps away! The on-site staff is very friendly and the price for this little gem is really nice. An ideal place to bring friends/family and rent both units. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Brian"
