  • Unplugged Peace and Seclusion

"We stayed at Sapodilla Cottage over the week of 4th of July. This is a very slow time on the island with lots of businesses closed following the winter/spring season but we loved the relaxed pace and lack of crowds. We were originally booked in the Birds and Bees cottage but due to a scheduling mix up, ended up in Sapodilla (Janie was very gracious about reducing the cost due to the changed). The cottage itself is packed with charm. At first we were unsure about the smaller kitchen and overall living area of Sapodilla but found that it worked quite well for 2 people and was much more private than the other cottage. A few things could be improved in the kitchen (sharper knives and scissors would be my main suggestion) but otherwise, we found everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner each day. We loved the open-air nature of the cottage, especially the outdoor shower and hammock on the verandah. While it was the height of summer, the ceiling fan and island breezes made it comfortable to sleep at night. We also enjoyed the company of Janie's dogs who would come to visit us in the morning and evenings as well as the company of loads of birds and geckos on the porch. We visited Half Moon, Rendezvous, Pigeon and Darkwood Beaches -- each had its own distinct personality and all were wonderful (note: you really need a 4WD vehicle to get to Rendezvous; it's an adventure. And when you go to Darkwood get lunch from Mrs. George's stand). Janie was extremely helpful both before and during our visit. She recommended Titi Rent a Car and we had a great experience with them. Titi himself picked us up from and returned us to the airport so that we wouldn't have to struggle with directions. All in all, our week at Sapodilla Cottage could be summed up as peaceful. If I return to Antigua, Janie will be the first person I call!"

  • Phenomenal Condo

"We have just returned from our trip to Antigua. I have to echo the other two reviews on this property. The condo has everything you want or need. The Kitchen is fully equipped. There wasn't a single appliance that one would want that wasn't already. There is a juice press! Yes a juice press! The condo is extremely spacious and perfectly situated on the property as far as I am concerned. The bay views in the mornin will leave you in awe. I loved the constant breeze. Open the doors and windows and you have the perfect trade wind blowing through all day and night if you choose. The map on the wall should be one of the first things you study after you read the A-Z notebook provided by the owners. The book has a lot of info in it. That map however is awesome. If you rent a car like we did then that map will provide you with awesome information. They have a color coded legend that shows you restaurants, atm's, petrol stations, things to do etc as well as short cuts to English Harbor. Sadly I didn't even notice the map until day 3. The short cuts however, saved us a lot of time. The condo itself is well furnished. Very comfortable chairs and sofa. The beds are comfortable and the linens aren't cheap feeling. There are an ample supply of towels including several for the beach. There is even a cooler in the laundry room which we didn't see until after we purchased our own softsided one. In all we spend 10 days in this condo and I could easily go another 10 days. It's one of the most comfortable quiet condos we have rented. I should finish with a comment about the property manager. She checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything. When we first arrived, the salt air had taken its toll on the satellite box. We let her know and she managed the situation until it was fixed. We never used it but it was there. This place is a true gem."

  • Antigua New Years

"We had a most delightful stay at Peter and Martine's villa. We were honored to meet Peter personally since they were on the island while we were there. The villa was the perfect space for our family--married daughter and husband with two small children, college daughter and my husband and I. St. James Club was a perfect mix of activities for those who wanted it or just pool hang time. We went diving a couple of days. I highly recommend Mamora Bay Divers--Linda is experienced and knowledgable. The villa inside the resort provides the best of the all inclusive world because you can use/pay for what you want but still have the freedom of a private residence. The villa had everything we needed and then some. You will love your experience here!"

  • Fantastic Property

"This is an amazing property! We stayed for two weeks with our three teenage children and we all had plenty of space and privacy. The care and attention to detail within the villa and the surrounding property is exceptional. The views are spectacular from just about every room including the wonderful large pool area. The location near Falmouth Harbour is convenient for day trips to beaches and many other activities offered on the island. Point of View has a wonderful caretaker on-site and she conveniently offers a car rental. She was also extremely helpful with a number of other requests for information. We started planning our return during the first week and highly recommend this property."
