  • Beautiful resort and villa!

"We had a fantastic vacation with our two young adults over Thanksgiving. St James Club is a beautiful resort and the villa is very well equipped and conveniently located to numerous pools, both beaches, and the tennis courts. If planning to make your own meals the Epicurean Market is the place to shop. As others have noted there are smaller stores closer to St. James Club with less selection and much higher prices. We ate dinner at one of the resort restaurants which was just OK and pretty pricey. We also had plans to go out for dinner one evening at the Shirley Heights restaurant only to find out it was not opened. It is important to call ahead and verify that any restaurant will actually be open for dinner on any particular night and even then you may pull up only to find them closed. We enjoyed Eli's Eco Tour through Adventure Antigua and highly recommend this excursion. Our young adults also enjoyed a diving trip with Linda at the onsite Dive Shop . One is a recently certified diver and the other was brand new to the experience. They both enjoyed it immensely. We rented a car for the week and brought along a GPS loaded with a map of Antigua. The GPS is a must have! We explored English Harbor, Nelson Dockyard, Half Moon Bay, Long Bay, and Shirley Heights. Antigua is beautiful and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to return. I would highly recommend this villa for your stay. The owner provided great communication and the villa was perfect for our needs."

  • Marvelous house

"As mentioned by other reviewers, you will be astonished at the size of this house. It would be difficult to locate on your own but luckily Lillian will guide you to the house. The patio is huge and divided into 3 separate areas. We thoroughly enjoyed have coffee on the patio each morning as we watched the cruise ships sail into port. The rooms are all very large. Bedrooms have fans as well as AC although we never used the AC and rarely turned on the fans. There was always a breeze. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, coffeemaker, etc. There are even beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels, cooler and boogie boards. There is a phone available for local calls which was very nice since we arranged a few tours. You can walk to a few restaurants and some beach areas but I would suggest renting a car. The only thing that was missing for us was internet access BUT we were trying to relax!!! The property was clean and the photos are very accurate. I would recommend this house to anyone. We took day tours to Barbuda & Montserrat. Don't miss the Stingray Cay tour. It is pricey but where else can you swim with stingrays!! We tried various restaurants and found them pricey with so so food. The grocery is nearby and we managed to make our own food on several occasions. Cococut Grove was very nice with a beach setting and reasonably price with good lunch menu. Blu Pineapple nearby was ok. Bay house was ok. Our deposit was promptly returned. Can't go wrong with this house."

  • Antigua 2014

"Had a wonderful two weeks in Peter's villa. The location and amenities were perfect. We have two teenage boys so we were looking for somewhere that had great facilities and opportunities for them to do things and at the same time find a relaxing and peaceful break for my wife an I. The villa and St. James Club delivered everything we had hoped for and the holiday was a great success. The villa is very well appointed and has everything you could need. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the kitchen had everything we needed and we even had a few BBQ's on the balcony in the evening. The villa was cleaned three times a week and the management company he uses were very responsive and dealt with the few minor issues we had and also a great source of local knowledge and made great restaurant recommendations. A great holiday and some great memories. Would highly recommend the villa. Peter was a great owner and always quick to respond and always very courteous which made the experience of renting painless!"

  • Paradise Found

"What a stunning location. If you wanted to be off the grid for awhile, this is the place. Private and peaceful. We, as animal lovers welcomed the on-site caretaker's dogs and cats Smudge, Roxy, Moe and Not Moe. Meals and coffee from the poolside veranda are required. You will understand when you visit. Places to visit are Shirley Heights for cocktails and sunsets, Nelson's Dockyard and the various ruins around the Island. The only complete windmill I saw was Betty's Hope. Interesting to me to think back as to how it must have been when the island was blanketed with sugar cane plantations. Snorkel Cades Reef and Jolly Harbour. While at Jolly Harbour get you provisions at The Epicurean Grocery. I can't think of a better, more relaxing holiday than the one we experienced at "Point of View". We can't wait to return."
