  • Beautiful setting!

"This was our first time on Antigua and it didn't disappoint! Villa was beautiful and very clean. Owners were always quick to respond before our vacation and during and had helpful suggestions. The only issues we had were the roku wasn't working but the owner tried to resolve the problem quickly but couldn't so they are looking into it further and the water pressure in the showers was not good(but this is Antigua so not much you can do). The people on the island are extremely friendly and willing to give directions when needed or just ask how you are doing. Our favorite beach was half moon bay, not crowded and great snorkeling! Took a little time to get used to driving on the island since we are from the United States, but you get used to it. Great place to relax and enjoy the beach!"

  • Private relaxation!

"We, three couples, had an exceptional experience at the very private and relaxing Villa Kulala in mid April. The house itself was beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. Everyone loved the air cooled beds. Outside living areas provided plenty of space for us to spread out and relax with sunny and shady spots. The unheated pool was perfect for a refreshing swim. The bay provided great snorkeling. The grounds were spacious and well cared for. But the spectacular view was what really wowed us. All this made us want to just hang out at the villa. We did venture to Half Moon Bay, which was quite lovely, uncrowded, with clean powdery sand and nice swimming, and to English Harbor, which I think would be a great night spot with lots of restaurants and bars and people watching. For food, lunch at La Tartaruga was mediocre at best. Carry out from Mama Pasta on our last night was fabulous, wish we had tried it sooner. On arrival day we had Jennifer prepare and deliver dinner (fabulous quiche and apple tart among other dishes), and Christiane get a few groceries so we didn't have to go out for a couple days. We hired chef Norma West to prepare dinner one day which was very nice. A trip to Epicurean, a large well stocked supermarket by U.S. standards, provided the rest of our food. For wildlife, there are lots of birds to keep you company, lizards, hermit crabs, crabs. While snorkeling we saw lots of reef fish, coral, lobster, an octopus, conch. We had a few mosquitos one day after a longer heavy rain, but the other days were mosquito free. There was a constant 15-20 mph breeze, which the house blocked from the dining, pool, gazebo area. The breeze kept us very comfortable in the sun. Overall we had a fabulous time and definitely want to return!"

  • One Happy Family

"The pictures are tremendous, but don’t give the place justice, as they can’t capture the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks below, or the healthy wind that blows refreshingly and constantly. A great way to capture the magnitude of the view; we could see the villa clearly while swimming with stingrays at a sandbar the might easily be 10-15 kms away. The beach is truly only a 2 minute walk down a very well maintained path. Long Bay is very nice and while a little busy when the cruise ships are in, is virtually all yours in the morning and by 5:00 p.m. Snorkeling off the beach won’t blow the experienced away, but was still solid fun for the family. Had drinks on Marina’s restaurant deck most days and she and her staff were very nice. Marina was also very responsive and available for arriving/departing and any other questions we might have had through the week. The villa itself was very well stocked. We did a lot of cooking and found any tool necessary. The BBQ was solid as well, with a nice Kenmore 4-burner that reached nice high heats allowing for some quality grilling. Lots of deck furniture, including two large tables. Beds were comfortable in the main house. We didn’t rent the cottage, but had a look inside and it’s a nice option for larger groups with kids. As others have stated, the gardens are expansive and very nice. Dwight the gardener is a great guy. You really should rent a car. Loved Antigua, the people are awesome. You should see the island and the guest book is filled with great recommendations. Every one we followed was on the money. Half Moon and Smiling Harry’s was a classic example of a little risk with tremendous reward. Lisa was a joy to deal with throughout the entire process. We had an absolutely fantastic vacation."

  • Superb villa and location - highly recommended

"Everything about this villa is perfection, well-equipped from the exquisite bedrooms, spacious living and dining areas to the stunning views. Visually, the villa is beautifully decorated in the owner’s signature style and was maintained to a high standard throughout our stay. Highly recommended if you like everything to be in easy reach, in land or by sea, it is perfectly situated in a private bay. Transport was efficient and reliable when it came to sightseeing (recommend sunset at Shirley Heights) and dining out. We also opted for a private chef to cater for us, arranged by the very accommodating concierge. There isn't much more to say other than you need to visit this gem for yourself. As a couple, with friends or as a family, Palm Point will meet the highest of expectations and we look forward to returning again."
