  • A base for the West Indies vs England Test Match

"Other reviews have said it all really. Bamboo house is a wonderfully relaxing base for exploring the Island. The L-shaped veranda is perfect for leisurely breakfasts spent watching the Caribs (hummingbirds) feed. We loved the hammock too - a great place for getting some reading in before being gently rocked to sleep! We'd recommend a hire car for getting around the Island despite Antigua being very small. Joanne was a great host - always there to help and offer advice but at the same time respecting our privacy. Others have commented about some difficulty in locating Bamboo house but we found Joanne's instructions to be spot on. It is true that the roads leading to the property are rough but then the same goes for parts of the main roads - you really do have to be very alert when driving for sudden gaps in the road. Thoroughly recommended."

  • Beautiful setting!

"This was our first time on Antigua and it didn't disappoint! Villa was beautiful and very clean. Owners were always quick to respond before our vacation and during and had helpful suggestions. The only issues we had were the roku wasn't working but the owner tried to resolve the problem quickly but couldn't so they are looking into it further and the water pressure in the showers was not good(but this is Antigua so not much you can do). The people on the island are extremely friendly and willing to give directions when needed or just ask how you are doing. Our favorite beach was half moon bay, not crowded and great snorkeling! Took a little time to get used to driving on the island since we are from the United States, but you get used to it. Great place to relax and enjoy the beach!"

  • Awesome Antigua!

"A beautiful, cozy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. A short drive to restaurants, supermarket and of course the absolutely beyond breathtaking beaches and scenery. Memories of our One week of sheer bliss, is definitely beckoning us to return. Thank you Janie for your hospitality!"

  • Pinch Yourself!

"Azura is the front door to heaven on earth. Sinners need not apply!! It cannot get any better actually. Just try it for yourself. No need to look elsewhere. We were a family of four with two college aged daughters. The other reviews give you more details. I will not repeat them. I'm still pinching myself. I think George Clooney would agree as well. Thanks Amanda!"
