"We have been to Aruba many times and stayed at our timeshare unit, but were travelling with more people this time and decided to try a house. Extensive searching of VRBO and Homeaway websites led us to Safir 18. It looked beautiful, but pictures don’t always give the full ‘picture’ of a site. Plus we were a bit skeptical of sending a lot of money to essentially an unknown entity. Once we made it to Aruba, Francois met us at the house to give the tour, explain the security system and remotes and turned us loose. I can now say, the pictures don’t do the house justice. The landscaping, pool and house are absolutely beautiful. It really makes you feel almost like royalty to have access to such a great place. I would recommend it to anyone.
In addition, the location was quite convenient to Palm Beach restaurants and activities, Arashi , and Malmok beaches, and not that far to the new Superfoods grocery store. We like to snorkel and Arashi and Malmok are the places you see all the snorkel trip boats stopped. We could drive there in less than 5 minutes and snorkel for free, right alongside the snorkel boats.
One concern we had was the extra utilities (water and electric), but I read the meters every morning and did a little calculation to see how we were doing. We avoided running the AC in the two big high ceiling rooms, but with doors open front and back the normal airflow kept it very comfortable. We only ran bedroom AC in the evening and the end result was that we were refunded about half of our utility deposit on check out."

"We just spent 10 nights in this property and we had a great time. We were a party of 10, ages from 7 to mid 70's- it was a family reunion combined with some active tourism around the island. First at all during the booking process Frank was extremely diligent. He always responded within a few hours to our inquiries. The house was just perfect for a large family. The pool is very well kept and Frank and his partner Peggy make a great effort to clean it at least every two days. The hut or 'palupa' house outside with the hammock is a great spot to relax and have family meals. Property is located in a quiet residential area. About 10 min walk to the beach, albeit requires crossing a somewhat busy road. But it is very manageable. There are supermarkets nearby, but a car for larger grocery shopping and going to the places during hot days would be advisable. The house is also a walking distance to nice shops and restaurants on 'the strip' where the hotel high rises are, one of the most popular spot in Aruba.
Overall, Frank does a wonderful job at keeping his guests happy. House has lots of details to please the young and the older guests. I would recommend it to anyone willing to spend time in a wonderful spot in Aruba. Frank is also very willing to provide tips around places to visit, etc.
Thanks Frank and Peggy for allowing us spend a great vacation in Aruba."

"We were very pleased with our stay At this condo. Plenty of room for myself and my husband. Large, well layed out living area. Kitchen had everything we needed and appliances worked well. We had lots of closet space, utilized both bathrooms, and used the washer dryer combo. We spent most of our time on the large balcony off of the livingroom. Position of condo was perfect in that we had a view of the pool without being right on top of it. So, had some privacy. We spent our mornings at the beautiful beach across the street and enjoyed long walks everyday. No problems getting beach chairs. Late afternoon, we'd head back to the beautiful main pool. Also, spent some time at the pool at the back of the complex which was very peaceful. Early evenings we'd head up to our own hottub up on the roof deck. When we ate in, we'd grill on the gas grill up on the roof. For eating out, we went to Mulligan's (long wait), Waka Waka (great food), and Matthews (beach ambiance). Enjoyed the area. Shopped at Lings for groceries and found everything we needed. Rented a car and went to Arikok National Park and took a beautiful hike there. Drove up to Palm Beach, shopped, and walked the strip. Explored Oranjestad, etc. Great week! Owner/agent was easy to deal with and responsive. We hope to return."

"We were here for two weeks and it was wonderful. It was our first time back since our wedding two years ago. The house is beautiful and the location is great. The open courtyard was fantastic for sitting out during lunch/dinner and especially at night staring up at the stars with a glass of wine. I loved the open feel to the house and the breeze is constant so you never feel too hot.
During our time there, we were able to have all sorts of great things. On one of our first few days there, we went skydiving. Skydive Aruba was a great company, they picked us up, they were professional and funny, and the landing site is just a few minutes drive from the house.
We also went scuba diving with a dive shop named Jads. They were also fun and friendly, and the dive was perfect. They took really good care of us (we're open water, but still kind of new to diving) and even though they didn't know the house address, they were able to pick us up at Super Food which is a grocery store just a minute away.
There are also tons of great restaurants very close by. We had dinner on the beach at Passions. We had the best meal I've ever had in my life at The Kitchen Table. We were close to White, which was fantastic, PamPams for a lower-key night, and pretty much all of the restaurants by the big hotels. Not only that, but we were pretty much within walking distance to the beach. It was 20 minutes maybe, so we often drove (thanks for the rental car!), but if you wanted to walk it was definitely possible.
It was also nice staying here because they had towels and beach chairs and snorkeling equipment, which my wife and I used very liberally. The whole trip was amazing, and this was a great home base for all of our activities. We absolutely loved it and will stay there again next for sure."
