  • Best Villa by Far

"The Desert Dauphin by far exceeded my every expectation. Everything you see is just want you get!!! The villa is very spacious, luxurious and accommodating. Not to mention how comfortable the furnishings are and no expenses were spared when it came to the décor in the home. I stayed at the Desert Dauphin along with 3 other friends and I must say we are and have always been a very particular group of women. We expect to have all the comforts we are accustom to and more. We got just that at the Desert Dauphin. The Villa was spotless, the grounds were well kept, and the dishes, pots and pans were of good quality. I honestly cannot say anything negative about the Desert Dauphin. The nights were peaceful, the bedding and mattresses were of great comfort, which is extremely important to me due to some issues I have with my back. Each room had its own air condition unit and remote to regulate the air flow. I had 7 peaceful and restful nights. It is truly a villa that you will enjoy and want to come back to time and time again. I can’t wait to go back. The Desert Dauphin is nestled within Tierra del Sol. A beautiful golf course community with a spectacular view of the ocean, lighthouse and the high rises. We had a delicious meal at the Club house our first night. The staff there was also accommodating and friendly. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy any of the other amenities in Tierra del Sol, we simply ran out of time. While preparing for our vacation, Joe the owner answered every question we had (and we had a lot). Clifton Lugay who is the property manager, oh my goodness, was the nicest and friendliest, personable person. He was at the airport waiting for us once we arrived. He provided us with a wealth of information and was always available in the event we needed anything at the villa or around town. We decided not to rent a vehicle; we just didn’t want to bother with the unfamiliar, (traffic, road signs, roundabouts). Instead we met this wonderful taxi owner by the name of Henry Franken, whose services we used to go everywhere on the island. Henry was always prompt, polite, friendly, a gentleman and very knowledgeable of his homeland. It was blessing to us to have Henry escort us around town and bring us safely back to the villa at any given time of the day or night. If you don’t want to worry with the driving, do yourself a favor and contact Henry once you get on the island at 592-1600. We truly enjoyed our stay at The Desert Dauphin."

  • A little piece of paradise.

"If your tired of the hustle and bustle of all the Big Hotels, here's the solution for you. From the moment we pulled up to the quiet gated villa, we knew we had just arrived at a little piece of paradise. The landscaping was absolutely gorgeous, with large, towering palm trees swaying in the Aruban wind. When we arrived not only we were welcomed by the breathtaking architecture, we were greeted by the property manager himself, Francois. With amiable arms and a gracious smile, he showed us around the place. What we didn't know is that we were about to get a lot more than we bargained for. As we walked through the front door our loss of words seemed to speak for themselves. The high ceilings and abundant windows allowed for plenty of sunlight and fresh air throughout the house. The modern-style kitchen/island opened up to the living room and brought a liveliness to the area. The master bedroom overlooked the pool and guest rooms adding yet another spectacular view to the place. If that weren't enough the whole place was surrounded by wall, giving us a perfectly secluded home-away-from-home. Francois was always there to help out if we needed it, or just a phone call away and made sure our stay was enjoyable. There is no doubt in our minds that we will one day return to Aruba, and for anyone planning on visiting, we fully recommend staying at CasAruba. Best Regards, Cliff W"

  • Comfortable condo, great location

"We have been visiting Aruba for years and this is the first time that we rented a unit at the Oceania. It was a wonderful experience! The condo had a really great setup and was extremely clean and comfortable. My husband and I had our own "suite" with a bedroom, huge walk in closet and bathroom, while our 2 children slept peacefully in a large second bedroom. It was very quiet - we couldn't hear anything from our neighbors. We really felt like we were in a home and not a hotel or timeshare. The washer and dryer worked really well and it was very convenient having them right in the unit (in a closet). Eagle beach is beautiful. It is a pretty easy process to walk through the private gate across the street. We opted to just hop in the car and park (many spaces there), just because we had a lot of things to carry with the kids, but once we did that we would walk back and forth to the condo complex, visiting the pool or going back up to the room for lunch, etc. it worked out better for us, but if you don't have as many things it's really not a big deal to just walk across the street. There were 4 chairs in the unit of nice quality, but they are not chaise lounges, just folding beach chairs. They have a backpack feature, which makes them easy to carry. The unit had everything... Coolers, lots of cleaning items, a hair dryer, many high quality beach towels, a fully equipped kitchen with lots of cups, dishes, utensils pans, glasses of all kinds. We did need to buy paper towels, napkins, and toilet paper about half way through our stay, but that might vary depending on who has used the unit prior and what they left. The upstairs rooftop is accessed right from the unit! There is a separate door and a spiral staircase that takes you up there, but nobody else can go up... It's lovely! Amazing view of the ocean! The grill worked well and we had a few lunches and breakfast up there. Be warned... It can be a little windy, so make sure you don't bring a lot of paper plates and things that can fly away. Overall amazing experience. We plan on visiting again next year and would definitely recommend this to friends. Really perfect for a family. Of all the places we have ever stayed this was BY FAR the most comfortable and homey and had the best combination of qualities that we look for in our Aruba accommodations....."

  • Wonderful time in Aruba !

"We just returned from a week at the Surf Club and had a wonderful time. The island, the resort, the people, the rooms, the beach, the restaurants, all top notch. The resort is clean and well staffed, has good wifi, has a great pool with swim up bar, and was right on the beach. The rooms were quite comfortable for three adults and two teens and the full kitchen was very useful. The owner was extremely accomodating and helpful - he gave us a lot of valuable information about local knowlege, restaurants and activities, as this was our first time on the island. Overall, a really great experience that I would highly recommend to family and friends."
