  • What a special and beautiful property

"I just spent a week at Mermaid's Ridge and it was just beyond fabulous. The house is so clean, and easily accessible from the north end dock. It's a nice 20-25 minute walk to town. With the scenery though it doesn't seem like long at all. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need (my family has been to Hopetown multiple times so we often bring lots of food and cook quite a bit). In addition, the bathrooms were clean and the bedrooms were spacious. There are not too many extra beach towels so I would recommend bringing a few extras if you have a large party. The wifi is a nice bonus, but honestly, you forget that email even exists, a wonderful reprieve. In addition, the VHF radio is great to listen to the Cruiser's Net every morning on channel 68 at 8:15AM to get updates about the weather and events happening in the area. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! Thanks for a wonderful trip!"

  • Perfect Vaca Location

"Just returned from an incredibly beautiful and relaxing week in St. Thomas. Our stay at this Point Pleasant condo was perfect for the 4 of us, although the unit could accommodate more than 4. This unit has a spectacular view of St. T and you can see St. John and other islands as well. While there are not many new (if any) condos that we saw in St. T, the owners of this unit have kept it up very well. It was clean and comfortable with all that we needed to enjoy the week away. Point Pleasant does not have too much commercial development around it, so offers a bit more seclusion and privacy. It is a convenient drive to Red Hook where there are several restaurants. That is also the area where many day-sails launch, so again an easy drive. While at the condo, we spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the view. The condo is up rather high within the complex, which provides the awesome scenery, but the walk down to the Pt Plst beach was more exercise than we were looking for, so we opted to take the car and visit some of the incredible beaches that are short drives from the condo. A car is fairly essential in order to maximize your experience. Our two favorite beaches were Megan's Bay and Lindquist (which you can see from the condo). The water is incredibly clear and the beaches were not crowded, a perfect combo from our perspective. There is also a pool that is a two minute walk from the condo. We used that pool in the morning and went to the beaches after lunch. We will definitely go back to this location again and recommend it. The fact that the condo owners also support our military through a program called Wish For Our Heroes was an added bonus and another reason we would go back to this particular unit. While we have been fortunate enough to enjoy some vacations over the years at some beautiful locations, we concluded that this week was absolutely one of our best ever."

  • A perfect hideaway with a fantastic view!

"We are from Germany and stayed at Bahamavilla in august 2014 (2 adults + a 7-year-old girl). The house is very nice, the view is really fantastic! The Caribbean Sea beginns just right in front of the beautiful terrace, you are surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. The nearby beach "Ten bay beach" also is great for swimming and shelling. The house has a large open-air-terrace, 1 livingroom and 2 bedrooms. Furniture is o. k. and in good shape, the beds are great. Nothing is dirty or smells bad. The house is very clean. The kitchen furniture and the kitchen stuff are a little bit old and tacky but they work. The bathroom is o. k., washbasin + toilet are nearly new, the bathtub and the wall tiles are old, bathtub-faucet is rusty, but this is really no problem at all. The telephone line was broken during our complete stay, so we had no internet and always had to go to a public internet facility at Governor's Harbour which is 10 miles away. Our resumé: if you are coming from Florida or the East Coast of the U. S., Bahamavilla is perfect. You have a real "Robinson-feeling" (even without internet ...), Eleuthera is a nice destination. But coming the long way from Europe (as we were), paying US 1.700 per person for the 10-hours-flight, you better go to Floridas West Coast, the Maldives or a 4/5-star-resort in Asia where you have more comfort and cleanness of the island. Eleuthera is a great place with wonderful beaches, the people are very friendly, we never felt insecure. Food shopping, dining, rental cars (these are often very old + rotten, but cost 70 dollar per day), gasoline and all other items are double the price than in the U. S. We had very relaxing holidays on Eleuthera, if you want real recreation you will find it there. Don't forget to go to the "fish fry" at Governor's Harbour each friday evening. Thanks to Emmy for always answering me so quickly, you have a wonderful house."

Aruba Travel Tips

Aruba Beach Rentals Are Just a Few Hours from Miami

Aruba is in the heart of the Caribbean, about 2.5 hours flying time from Miami, Florida. Most of its tourist area is on the southwestern side of this flat island. Aruba beach rentals in this sheltered area are away from the severe ocean currents. These Caribbean resorts are luxurious homes for independent travelers making their ways to the heart of the Caribbean. Visitors to Aruba vacation rentals will find the northern side of the island is virtually uninhabited.

Aruba Beach Rentals for Fabulous Beaches and Great Water Sports

Naturally, visitors choosing Aruba vacation rentals will love the beach life; the island has everything needed for a perfect beach holiday. A wide variety of water sports is on offer a short distance from Aruba beach rentals. It is particularly good for scuba diving; for the keen fisherman, the deep-sea fishing is something to look forward to. It is also worth bringing your golf clubs as the Caribbean resorts are also close to an excellent 18-hole course overlooking the northwest coast.

Aruba Vacation Rentals Are Where Duty-free Shopping Abounds

Apart from some glorious beaches, visitors to Aruba beach rentals should take time to explore the islands culture. The capital, Oranjestad, is spectacular, with its orange-fronted buildings. The color is evidence of the island's ties to the Netherlands. Visitors to Aruba vacation rentals usually make the most of the duty-free shopping. When coming to these Caribbean resorts, it’s worth remembering the bargain-hunting to be had here.

Caribbean Resorts Allow You to See the Flamingoes, Egrets, Herons and More

While visiting Aruba vacation rentals, don’t miss the opportunity to take a trip to the Arikok National Park that covers almost one-fifth of the island. You will find a wide variety of beautiful plants and wildlife, including pretty pink flamingoes. Around Aruba beach rentals, you will find several cave systems where the original inhabitants, the Arawak Indians, left their artwork on the walls. These Caribbean resorts are also close to the Bubali Bird Sanctuary where egrets, herons, gulls and skimmers live side-by-side with the residents and visitors.
