"We just spent a wonderful week in Aruba. The house was fantastic! So much room for all of us (4 adults and 3 kids) and really conveniently located. You can walk to the beach from the house but I would still recommend getting a car as it is so hot and there is so much to see on the island. You are also right by all the high rise hotels with access to their restaurants, casinos and more. We had no problems at all and would consider staying here again. Everyone involved with the property was pleasant and accommodating. The kids loved getting up every morning and right into the pool and doing the same last thing at night. Great place to stay!"

"This was our second time staying at the Marriott Surf Club and it was amazing as usual! Robin guaranteed a room with a great room and she delivered on that promise! We were able to overlook the pools and we had a gorgeous view of the ocean. This resort is perfect for families. My 2 year old and 6 year old love the slide, lazy river, and new splash area. The staff at this resort are so friendly! Everything is in excellent condition and it is very clean. This resort is in walking distance to town and many great restaurants. No need to rent a car, everything you need is close by! We will be returning again in 2016!"

"February 2015 was our 2nd stay in the SHS (Straw Hat Sisters) home in Tierra Del Sol and our 5th trip to Aruba. Our group feels like part of the SHS family when we stay in this home. It has everything you would want and the SHS always remember what we prefer! We have rented 2 other homes on the island in past years, but will always use the SHS home as our first choice and manage our vacation around their availability. A great experience!

"We just returned from our stay in Tierre Del Sol . This was our first time using VRBO, so it was unnerving until we got there.
Everything was exactly as Jake had told us! He was very easy to work with. Directions were great! We drove straight there. Quite honestly the Island is so easy to get around. Once there, we were able to get in by getting keys out of lockbox. The community is gated, which
also gives a sense of security. I never felt threatened on any part of the Island.
The condo itself is exactly as it looked in pictures! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We used the griddle a lot!! After arriving we figured out what we would need at the grocery. The prices at grocery are pretty comparable to prices in the states. They have everything priced twice US$ and their $.
The condo is located at the North end of the Island. After traveling and hiking that entire Island...... In our opinion the North end is much nicer!!!! The pool at the condo is very plush and food / drinks are reasonably priced! Definitely worth having the "country club package"
We liked the fact that the condo was away from the busy part of the island. It was so peaceful!! We enjoyed watching the sun rise every morning from our bed.
With that being said the beds were our only major complaint. As another review has posted there is plastic on the beds. I understand why from a business point of view, but don't agree with the type of plastic. They were still wrapped in the plastic that the beds came in.... Which is not breathable. That lead to sleepless nights for us. A lot of tossing, turning and sweating. I have discussed this issue with Jake and he has assured me the plastic will be changed. We would love to return to this property if that is taken care of!! Aside from that I would still reccomend this property.
We didn't do the typical tourist jeep tours, etc.... We chose to hike. If you are a hiker you definitely will need your good hiking boots, day pack with hydration, trek sticks, and good aqua shoes . If you hike the north end it's all lava rock and washed up coral..... Absolutely beautiful!! We drove and parked. We hiked from the west to Far East. It was an easy 3-4 our hike.... Aqua shoes def required!! Our more dif hike was at Arikok National park. We were planning on doing the hike ourselves, but ended up having a park ranger, so we could learn more about the culture. We had Rambo, and boy.... He didn't stop!! We hiked 6hrs in intense heat w"
