  • A Bonefish Playground!

"My 13 year old son and I just returned from our first "father/son" fishing excursion! This trip will be forever one of my most memorable and fondest. The small village of kind people, all willing to see that your stay is wonderful. Incredible fishing of all kinds, primarily bonefishing! Excellent local guide, his mother cooked the most delicious meals each evening and the accommodations were perfect. My return with the entire family can not come soon enough. If looking for a piece of paradise, then look no further. You will not be disappointed. Again, "A BONEFISH PLAYGROUND!""

  • a genuinely relaxing family holiday

"We have returned a number of times, this time with 2 young children age 2 and 4. This is the first family holiday where we have all really relaxed and enjoyed it. I have played tennis, my husband has got in some training for his triathlon and the children have not stopped asking to go back to our holiday home. The condo is perfect for our purpose and has a very comfortable bed (I usually sleep badly away from home) not here! The pool is perfect for all of us. The incredible beach is so quiet and just amazing. The location allows you to explore other islands with ease. We were all made to feel welcome, safe and included, from the owners of the charter boats to the gardeners, everyone makes you feel at home. So much so I wish we were there now. Great property, great location, see you again soon."

  • The total package!

"It is not often we come across a place that helps us to unwind and fall in love with life again. A week at an Abaco Palms Property exceeded our expectations. How amazing to walk out the back door of the Kokomo House to a beautifully maintained property and serene beachfront with loads of options for each new day. Whether we jumped in to the Carolina Skiff to explore the aqua waters, went kayaking, or hopped on the SUP, we could have asked for nothing better! One huge highlight in this vacation was being able to meet the property owners -who introduced us to the Marsh Harbour culture and community. Find a memory waiting to happen at Casuarina Point, Bahamas! We WILL return, no doubt!"

  • Amazing house!

"Wow! What a wonderful week we had at Drift Away!!!!!! As everyone else has stated in previous reviews, we instantly felt at home when we arrived. Great reading library (I didn't finish a book so I took it home with me and will be mailing it back to Bob!) and music selection. We did not turn on TV at all. The July heat through me for a loop the first few hours without AC, but then I got accustomed to the gentle breezes throughout the house and all was well. The Lasko brand pedestal fan they had was great- we could have used 1 more of those at night, just because it was July. We actually slept on the deck several nights under the stars. Not because it was too hot in the bedrooms, but because it was so wonderful outside! Bedrooms and bathrooms were great, and the kitchen was well equipped. Having the washer and dryer was a big lifesaver. We made sure to empty and refill the ice trays to supplement the ice maker in the freezer, and we never had to buy ice. We used the gas grill a lot. One suggestion for the bathrooms would be to have a no slip mat in both of the bathtubs. My 76 year old mother said she held onto the window sill while showering so she would not slip (I also found our tub a bit slippery). Here are a few suggestions for things to be sure to take with you or purchase at Maxwell's when you arrive: * dishwashing liquid * toilet paper * paper towels * laundry detergent If I were to plan a trip to the Abacos again, I would 100% say that I would stay at Drift Away. Outstanding privacy, easy access to other islands by boat, snorkeling right off the beach- can't get any better than that! Thanks to Judy the housekeeper for the phone calls to check on us! Delmond the gardener was also delightful! Thank you, Bob, for your lovely "home away from home", and sharing it with us. It was truly a memorable week."
