"I recently stayed here with 3 friends in April 2015. The house is not fancy, but it is highly functional. When we arrived, the gas tank was empty; however, we called and it was filled the following morning. It was not a problem, we used the stove downstairs. The door locks have some issues and may need replacing. The front door would not stay shut without a concrete block to hold it shut. These few things were minor issues for us. We had a great stay and the views are outstanding. Fortunately, the two adjacent properties were not occupied, so we had plenty of privacy. You will need a rental car or taxi to get around. I really recommend this rental."

"Tammi & Freds' Lowtide cottage is the perfect escape for the two of us! Having vacationed in the Abaco's for the last 20 years, I can honestly tell you that this house had everything you need to experience the hub of the out-islands. We rented a 20 foot Albury Brother's boat from Seahorse rentals and kept it at the dock behind the house. It was the absolute best setup. We grilled out every night at Lowtide when we got back from a long day in the sun. Best thing to do is go to Maxwell's grocery on your way in from the airport to pick up your basic provisions (food, condiments, papertowels, toilet paper, alcohol, etc...), so you won't have to hop into another taxi until you leave. Tammi was so accommodating with everything! We loved our stay and will definitely be back!"

"And what a paradise Michelle and Joy have put together at the Nutty Mermaid! This was a great find and we will definitely visit again. Each day started on the patio with all five in our party watching the sun rise. No alarms were set; the sun rise there was that amazing! The remainder of our days were spent snorkeling around the coral outcroppings just off the beach in front of the house, paddle boarding, sailing, and relaxing in the amazing water. We also rented a boat from Rainbow rentals in Marsh Harbour and toured Hopetown and snorkeled Mermaid Reef just off the coast of Marsh Harbour. (I highly recommend visiting this reef if you have young children or first-time visitors to the Bahamas! It is 6-8 feet deep in crystal clear water and loaded with amazing fish!)
The house has all the comforts of home including a great kitchen with a gas stove and oven as well as a gas grill on the patio for grilling, satellite TV, WiFi. We took advantage of the grill nightly and enjoyed dinners on the patio. The TV and WiFi were great amenities, but we did not use them. It honestly felt like we were walking into our own home situated in paradise and not a rental property. Great job, Michelle and Joy! See you again soon."

FABULOUS 'SEA OF ABACO' VIEW AND THE HOUSE WAS PERFECT FOR US!
"We have stayed at Driftaway before and are always impressed when we arrive to find it so clean, well maintained and stocked with everything we need to have another amazing holiday. This time was our 20th anniversary so this was a very special vacation. With the north facing front porch and the south facing deck we enjoyed them both as we got ready for our day, enjoyed our breakfast and then later in the day for sunning and relaxing some more.
We spent almost every day this trip on the beach (Tahiti Beach and Nipper's by boat and in the water just in front of the house.) We visited the bay just across the way at Matt Lowe’s Cay to visit the many turtles that appear to call that area home.
We love how quiet the area is. We never once heard the neighbors during our 7 night stay. We had everything we needed right there; snorkeling, swimming and relaxing. Being inside the gated community at the end of Eastern Shores Point makes this a quiet, calm and private place to stay. Not like a resort with activities and lots of people. This is a total get away and we will be back to this house again! It was comfortable, clean, well appointed, we cannot say enough about it! Thank you! We will definitely return and we highly recommend Driftaway to families and couples. Thanks again Bob and Linda!"
