  • All we could have asked for!

"A+! Leapin' Lizards was the perfect getaway for our first ever family vacation. Myself, my four sons, with their wives and children, a total of 14, spent an idyllic holiday on the peaceful island of Elbow Cay. Although it requires an extra effort to get to, it is worth it. The pool was the center of everything, the children spent hours there and the adults gathered there after hours. The Main House had the biggest kitchen and largest dining area, so we did most of our cooking there. I slept in the cottage and fell asleep each night to the sound of waves on the beach. Don't miss sleeping on the seaside bed beneath the stars; glorious! We rented two golf carts to get around the island (don't miss Tahiti Beach) and a 23' Albury center console boat to explore other islands, go snorkeling and fishing. I don't think our vacation would have been complete without either one of them; we spent party every day on the boat. Judy, the property manager, was attentive and answered all our questions and attended to our needs. The house is very well equipped and beautifully decorated. Please note: the youngest member of our party was just 18 months old. Because the pool and walkway connecting the two houses is elevated, someone needed to be at his side constantly. It might not be the best choice for travelers with very young children. We loved our choice and hope to return soon."

  • What a special and beautiful property

"I just spent a week at Mermaid's Ridge and it was just beyond fabulous. The house is so clean, and easily accessible from the north end dock. It's a nice 20-25 minute walk to town. With the scenery though it doesn't seem like long at all. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need (my family has been to Hopetown multiple times so we often bring lots of food and cook quite a bit). In addition, the bathrooms were clean and the bedrooms were spacious. There are not too many extra beach towels so I would recommend bringing a few extras if you have a large party. The wifi is a nice bonus, but honestly, you forget that email even exists, a wonderful reprieve. In addition, the VHF radio is great to listen to the Cruiser's Net every morning on channel 68 at 8:15AM to get updates about the weather and events happening in the area. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! Thanks for a wonderful trip!"

  • Ideal

"My wife and I spent 10 extremely peaceful days at Annie's Skyward Cottage in November, just as the islands were preparing for the holidays and start of tourist season. The cottage is tucked into the backside of a dune on the Atlantic Ocean side, buffered from any winds by the dune, palms, and shrubs. The kitchen, a few steps from the cottage, is equipped with everything you need; refrigerator, stove/oven, toaster, microwave, coffee pots, and utensils. The cottage hosts the bedroom, bathroom, and sitting/TV room, and is stocked with many books, from fiction to local (I suggest the "History of an Out Island and its Cays" and "The Long Day Wanes") (and wifi covers the cottage and kitchen if you need a download). The interconnecting deck includes a pair of Adirondack Chairs overlooking the Atlantic and the beach (great place to start the morning). The beach is long and beautiful, quiet, gives up its sea glass, very swim-able, and depending on wind direction, good for SUPping or Surfing. The town is only about 100 yards down a sandy path, the harbor another 50 yards farther, meaning food, drink, bike/cart/boat rentals are steps away. The cottage could not be more ideal for balancing a little peace and quiet, with all the convenience of access to the island's amenities when the mood strikes. Remember to look skyward at night, the stars are beautiful. Thank you Annie for being a great host!"

  • Amazing Week at Half Moon!

"Our family had a fabulous week vacation at Half Moon in November. When we arrived at Half Moon, we were immediately taken back by the beauty of the home and its surroundings. The home has a really great layout that allowed everyone in our family to have a good amount of space, but it also felt cozy and warm at the same time. One of the best features of the house is the amazing ocean view. Our family definitely took advantage of relaxing outside on the porch with the soothing sounds of the ocean in the background. We also enjoyed exploring the island and experiencing Hope Town. The Locals in Hope Town are truly welcoming and made us feel at home for the week. We are definitely excited for our next family vacation at Half Moon!"
