  • Private Vacation

"Shore Thing was a very nice house. It is very Private and the beaches are as well. You will need a golf cart but it is worth it. If you are looking for a nice, private vacation this is your place to stay. The owner was very helpful and got back to me right away as did the caretaker. We will rent from them again!"

  • Christmas in the Bahamas!

"We recently spent 10 days at Beach Walk Cottage over the Christmas Break! We enjoyed our time in the Bahamas immensely. We spent the days touring, boating, snorkelling on the beach in front, as well as the reef, day trips to Man O' War, Hopetown and Shell Island. BeachWalk cottage is cozy and has all the amenities you could want for cooking a great meal and a relaxing atmosphere to chill in the evenings. We walked everywhere on the island, as the distances are so short. Having the second bathroom was so convenient and we loved the outdoor shower to remove all excess sand after a day-trip to the beach. Flying to Marsh Harbour enabled us to stock up on provisions, as we knew the prices would be higher. I had also packed a luggage with peanut butter, dried meats, cheeses, pesto, sauces, tuna, rice, pasta, yeast, crackers...ect which simplified my life considerably. My two boys 5 and 7 shared the room in front with the two twin beds and my 9 year old daughter enjoyed the room with the double bed. The king bed is bliss in the master suite and I loved being able to open all the big windows at night to cool the house down. As well, Tina was so helpful to answer all of my questions before we headed out. Thank-you Rick and Tina for sharing your home with us, we look forward to returning some day!!"

"I travelled to the Abacos the first time by our personal boat with my husband about 5 years ago and we fell in love with the islands and people instantly. I wanted to share the experience with my family so I planned a trip for them. I realized they could not make the boat trip so I began my search for a home I felt would be a perfect fit for them. After much consideration I decided on the Lemon Tree House and couldn't have made a better decision. My Mom an Dad came along with my two cousins that flew in from the UK. We flew into Marsh Harbour and took the ferry across to Guana Cay and were greeted at the dock by Darvin (the caretaker) who escorted us to the house and welcomed us to the island. From the moment we walked in to the "Lemon Tree House" I knew I made the right choice, we truly felt at home! It was clean, bright and had everything we needed. The wrap around deck of which spent a lot of time, has awesome views. It was so nice to drink our morning coffee and watch the boats go by. We spent our days island hopping, snorkeling, sunning, and exploring the island in general. Troy from Guana Dive Shop is just sround the corner and I highly recommend taking a trip with him. You can walk most everywhere and the grocery store was only a 10 minute walk so we were able to cook our meals and enjoy the house in the evening hours just as we would at our own home. We also enjoyed a few nights at Grabbers (only steps away) and of course the Sunday Pig Roast at Nippers is a must. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and the owners made the entire process so easy. They provided us with all the necessary travel/arrival tips as well as having their caretaker, "Darvin", who was always availble if you needed anything at all. I wanted this trip to be one my family would never forget and it truly was! My cousins from England said this was the most beautiful place they had ever seen. We are planning to return next year with even more of our family members and will definitley be staying at the "Lemon Tree House" again! Our many thanks to Karen and Darvin and everyone on Guana Cay for making this one of the best vacations we've ever had!"

  • What an incredible place

"At Crawl Bight for a week, and we wish it could have been much longer. The house itself is cooled by ocean breezes, is wonderfully clean and completely private. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Abaco. You can snorkel directly off the dock in 3 to 8 feet of clear water seeing tropical fish, conches, snapper and grouper. A short walk to the beach side brings you to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, and only once in a week did we see another person on it. Less than 75 yards off the beach was one of the most incredible reefs I have ever seen, with wonderful coral formations and tropical fish. The privacy is great, yet you are only a short boat/golf cart ride to the Guana Cay settlement, with good bars/restaurants and a small but well stocked grocery store. We will be back."
