"Stressed? Need to get away-from-it-all? Then Seaturtle Treehouse on Green Turtle Cay is the place for you to relax, unwind and nourish your soul. The owners, Susan and Tim were great. They answered all of our questions, emailed during our stay and really helped us out when there was a bit of confusion on our part about logistics. The property managers, Michael and Jennifer of Abaco Breeze Properties could not have been more helpful. They met us at the ferry dock to take us to the property and became our friends on the island. The treehouse is located in a serene and private setting on the calm Sea of Abaco. Metal and wood beams and glass walls provide architectural interest to this handsome two story octagonal structure. The living area is on the upper level with fantastic views and access to the wrap around deck from every room. The home is very clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with high-quality linens. The recently remodeled kitchen is beautiful and equipped with everything you need for your stay. We appreciated the games, books and DVDs and had a blast without tv. The screened-in lower level, with chaise lounges, swing chairs and a bonus dining area, is the perfect place to bring-on your zen, whatever that might be for you. The walkway leads to a shared dock on the sea. Overnight rental boat mooring and fishing is not permitted, but it was great to be able to swim and snorkel right from the dock. We have traveled a lot and are now spoiled by GTC. The island is undeveloped and naturally beautiful. Snorkling was fantastic. But above all else, the people were so warm. We especially enjoyed the food and friendly staff McIntosh's restaurant - we thought the food portions and quality were better than served at a local fancy-schmancy restaurant. Sunset marine boat rental family and staff could not have been nicer. Kool Karts golf cart rental folks were great. We found our paradise!!"

"We found castle rock on the internet and contacted the owners who were very friendly and helpful. It was a vacation for my family, we had six people, 4 college students and 2adults . The house was set up perfect , each person had their own individual area , the beach was beautiful and the house location was perfect. We came by boat and the owners put us in contct with a private individual who had dock space right down the road for a reosnaable price , it was safe and had all the conveniences you needed to keep your boat along with a fish cleaning station. The people we met on the island were all nice and very helpful. I recommend letting Evelyn cook for you one night and if you have a boat hire a local to fish with you one day, he will let you in on some local knowledge and he only charged 150 for all day. We spent at least 6 to 7 hours a day visiting all the outer islands , fishing , snorkeling and just enjoying the beauthy of the Abacos. One of the best places is the bakery and the extra large cinnamon buns delicious only 5 dollars but they will fill you up. Also if you go by boat pray for good weather, we were there 10 days and the ocean was very calm the entire time ffrom Stuart to Treasure Cay. I highly recommend Treasure Cay as your next vacation destination and Castle Rock is a very good place to stay. We will be going back in the near future."

  • Ideal

"My wife and I spent 10 extremely peaceful days at Annie's Skyward Cottage in November, just as the islands were preparing for the holidays and start of tourist season. The cottage is tucked into the backside of a dune on the Atlantic Ocean side, buffered from any winds by the dune, palms, and shrubs. The kitchen, a few steps from the cottage, is equipped with everything you need; refrigerator, stove/oven, toaster, microwave, coffee pots, and utensils. The cottage hosts the bedroom, bathroom, and sitting/TV room, and is stocked with many books, from fiction to local (I suggest the "History of an Out Island and its Cays" and "The Long Day Wanes") (and wifi covers the cottage and kitchen if you need a download). The interconnecting deck includes a pair of Adirondack Chairs overlooking the Atlantic and the beach (great place to start the morning). The beach is long and beautiful, quiet, gives up its sea glass, very swim-able, and depending on wind direction, good for SUPping or Surfing. The town is only about 100 yards down a sandy path, the harbor another 50 yards farther, meaning food, drink, bike/cart/boat rentals are steps away. The cottage could not be more ideal for balancing a little peace and quiet, with all the convenience of access to the island's amenities when the mood strikes. Remember to look skyward at night, the stars are beautiful. Thank you Annie for being a great host!"
