"This place was great for our family. Beach was beautiful and great for our kids. House was clean and well stocked. Owners, caretakers and locals incredibly helpful and friendly. Beaches are amazing. Highly recommend hiring Rodney to take you snorkeling and exploring the cays. Plan on visiting again! Be sure to check out the restaurant at the Andros Beach resort! Friendly, beautiful and the food and rum punch are delicious!!"

  • Must do nature tour!

"On May 18 ,my wife and I and our two grandchildren of 11 and 14 went with Ed on a nature tour to see the blue holes. This is a great experience for adults and kids alike. Ed is very knowledgeable about the plants and animals that you will see. This tour is worth the experience even if you are not normally interested in plants and animals. The scenery and the blue holes are spectacular with a lot of fun wildlife along the way. On our first day, Ed told us about a bat cave but weather did not allow us to see it. The kids wanted to see the bats so much that Ed was willing to take us back the next day. I was quite surprised at all the different things that I didn't noticed the first time through. At the end of the tour, Ed had some fresh coconuts that he cut open and shared coconut juice and coconut meat with us. He also had some fruit that he picked in his yard that morning. This was a really great finish to a very enjoyable tour. Ed gave us a short tour of the local communities with a little bit of history. I would highly recommend Ed as your guide for this cultural and nature tour."

  • Fabulous Week for Flyfishing and Family Fun

"We chose this rental on Andros Island for our three-generation family of six because it offered close proximity to excellent bonefishing for our two flyfishers, a beautiful setting in a protected bay with a close-in reef for our 8 and 11 year old grandchildren to snorkel, interesting and varied habitat for all of us to explore, and a quiet, private location for relaxing. Our accommodations included the two bedroom cottage plus a lovely studio with a kingsize bed and an amazing bathroom with a view of the ocean for us grandparents. We shared the kitchen in the cottage. What made the week so fantastic was the friendly, attentive care that our hosts extended to our family. Diane was always available to help with anything we needed from extra groceries to a trip to the "blue hole in the ocean" at Conch Sound. Since we did not rent a car for the week, her help in these areas was incalculable. Captain Rodney provided excellent guide service for several fishing trips to Joulters Cay. Both Diane and Rodney were full of interesting stories about Andros and its fascinating history and culture. In addition to our adventures with them, we found plenty to do within walking distance of Knoll's Landing, including snorkeling in the bay, swimming at Money Point, birding in the estuary, and exploring the beach and nearby ponds. After a week, we felt like family. We highly recommend Knoll's Landing for serious flyfishers and, especially, for those who want to bring along non-fishing members of the family. It was a perfect choice for us!"

  • Well worth the trip to Andros!

"Our family had an excellent time in one of Trevor's beach cottages. We spent 7 days on Andros and were well looked after by Trevor, Princess and Mario. The kitchen and laundry were great and we were happy with our beach front cottage, merely steps from the beautiful water. Cell phone and TV worked great! Snorkeling from the cottage was fine, not coral, but we did see fish, especially at low tide. Things close on Sunday's so make sure you have food and water. The National Park is a short drive from here and you can access two in-land Blue Holes with walkways. Make sure to stop by the Park headquarter at Fresh Creek during the week, the people who work there are wonderful and can point you in the right direction for birding as well. Rainbow Blue Hole is up the road a little way from the cottage by bike or car. It's a short walk in but make sure to wear good walking shoes as the coral path is rough and there is a lot of poison wood around. The Blue Hole is beautiful and worth a swim. If you have a car visit North Andros for the cliff, caves and most importantly, the ocean blue hole at the end of Conch Sound Road in Nicholls Town. We only found out about this after talking to a local restaurant owner. You drive to the end of the road, turn left along the water and park at the end. You walk from the shore about 20 feet at low tide. You can see the blue hole from the beach. Snorkeling around the hole was awesome, the current coming out of the hole is strong, you can see great fish! Try and go at low tide, a must visit spot. Just up from the cottage is the Taste and See Restaurant owned by Cinderella, who is a great cook. Call ahead as the schedule varies. This is a great spot. Snorkel trips by boat from Small Hope Bay Resort just south of Davies Creek. The prices as reasonably for a 2 hour trip. We heard that the lunch is good and worth the $18 per person, though we did not go. The neighbors by the cottages are really great. The neighborhood dogs are sweet and part of the rustic charm. Our son lined-fished from the Fresh Creek dock and caught us dinner one night. We talked to everyone around town, people are really nice and we got the best information that way. Conch salad from the yellow shack near the traffic circle in FC was great, so if they are open, stop by. I found out about it from someone living on a sailboat who works at the US Navy Base. We took the Ferry from Nassau, it was a great trip in and I would recommend it. I did take Dramamine."
