  • Thank You

"Thank you, Mr. Roberts and Cindy for renting Nella's Nest to us for the week. We enjoyed every second and will come back next year. We loved the view, endless beauty of turquoise sea. Outside Nella's Nest is spectacular. Inside was more than comfortable."

  • Great bungalow by the sea

"This was my first time to Eleuthera but my traveling friend had been several times and she introduced me to the "ways of the Island". Eleuthera is NOT for everyone but for those who desire to rest and refresh and go "off grid' for a while, its the best. We could not have been more pleased with our house. Perfect. Everything about it. It is well stocked and just downright cute. The Ocean breeze and the gorgeous sunsets made us say WOW everyday. Our electricity went out a time or two due to a rain storm that came thru but this house is also well stocked with candles and flashlights. It was NO PROBLEM. The grill is great and we used it every night. Israel really is a caretaker, and even brought us fresh homemade bread one day. The house is centrally located to most of the good beaches and we had plenty of beach chairs, coolers and supplies for the makings of a good day on the Caribbean. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. My friend (Daphne) who has stayed in many others -says this is one of the best. Thank you for making my first trip to the Island - to my last!"

  • Return trip!

"I hadn't been back since 2012 but it was just as wonderful as I remembered. The house location is lovely, oceanfront as well as lagoon-sited. Breezes all the time! There were 10 of us this time and we all had comfortable, large rooms with our own bathrooms. Large living area as well as lanais on both sides of the house make for lots of room to socialize (or escape to the hammock!). But the best part is Ruth - cook extraordinaire and housekeeper. Her meals (3/day if you want) were delicious and interesting whether it be your own fresh-caught fish or something she picked up at the grocery. She manages everything with grace and a great sense of humor. There's much to do in Eleuthera, without the crowds of Nassau and other Bahamian islands. You can arrange to go deep-water fishing with Sid or just cruise to the uninhabited islands for snorkeling and a picnic. You can also fish and snorkel right off the beach, as well as kayak and collect shells. Cotton Bay itself is a great place to jog or walk on the road or beach. My favorite activity every day was a nap mid-afternoon, feeling the breezes from both sides of the property and listening to the surf. Paradise!"

  • Over The Top Fabulous!

"Stunning views, immaculately clean, minimalist charm, we had everything we could ask for plus the sounds of the waves...would recommend to anyone, it could not have been more comfortable and joyful. We like to visit different places...but will certainly consider returning to this spot just because it was so perfect for us. Spent 11 days, could have stayed forever. Our only regret was that the wind was unusually strong during our stay so we did not use the beach, swim out front or make use of the paddle board or kayaks, or sit on our deck for meals. But the beauty of Eleuthera is that if it's windy on one side, good chance it's not on the other - so we spent lots of time exploring the stunning "Caribbean" side. Great snorkeling, deserted beautiful beaches. Cayo Loco supplies really nice beach chairs and towels - we took these with us everywhere, they were much appreciated! Bring a small cooler (we left one there) for lunches as who wants to leave the beach once you get there? Take Maureen up on her offer to supply coconut water - refreshing morning drink. Eleuthera itself was just our speed - have never visited the Bahamas because our impression was that they are very touristy. Not so here...Eleuthera is a true throw back in time. The local people as well as all the expats we met could not be more kind and gracious, it is one of the safer islands we have ever visited. And Cayo Loco is one of the nicest vacation homes we have ever rented. Kudos to Maureen and Alan."
