"My family of four (my husband, two teen aged children, and me) stayed for a week in early April and had an absolutely wonderful vacation. I love the location of this rental because it's directly on a safe cove that is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking.
The bay-side location provides a lot of entertainment as you sit and watch from the balcony - fisherman, people from town coming for a swim, occasionally giant fish swimming by, etc. The rental house also sits near some great places to eat (we loved Unca Gene's!), get groceries, bakery goods, beer/liquor, and nearly everything else you need.
The kitchen was very usable and provided everything you need to make food during your stay. Local cookbooks available in the kitchen helped me figure out how to fix the fresh grouper we bought from fisherman on the dock across from the house. The hosts were AWESOME. They were available to give advice and answer questions but left us alone to explore and relax.
A stay at this amazing place is not for everyone. If you are super picky about how updated a rental is, this is not for you. If you have trouble with the unexpected or can't roll with flow, this is not for you. However, if you can successfully turn on "island time" and love the amazing experience of staying in a local town with real people (NOT a resort!), always looking out on a beautiful turquoise cove, then this is perfect."

"My cousin, my 1 year old and my 3 year old stayed at this property for 9 days. I would highly recommend it.
The house itself is extremely well appointed, and the pictures don't do it justice. There is an enormous yard, a shaded front/side porch and a back veranda for eating. Inside the house, the kitchen has everything that you could need, the ceilings are high and it is quite spacious. One warning: light sleepers beware! The roosters are LOUD and start as early as 3am. Also, the house is old so on windy nights there can be a bit of rattling. That said, after one VERY windy night where things were rattling all over the place, I mentioned this difficulty to Angelika, the property manager. She had somebody there within hours to batten down the hatches.
Speaking of Angelika--she could not have been more helpful or responsive. She saved the day for us on several occasions, always making it seem as though we weren't being a nuisance. Really great customer service.
The house was a short walk into town, but a longer walk (about 20 min) to the beach. Most people rent cars, which we did for 2 of the 9 days. We got a good workout every day, that's for sure. French leave beach is lovely, once you get past the seaweed. We were often on that amazing beach alone. Crazy.
One thing that we didn't come across until the end, which would have been good to know in advance: there is a really big grocery store with tons of different kinds of foods at Rock Sound. My cousin is a vegan, and there wasn't so much at the Governor's Harbour grocery stores.
Nick, the owner, was very easy to deal with throughout the booking process, and was helpful in providing us with information."

"This was our second stay at Leisure Lee and it was another fantastic time! The house has such great views and has everything you need for your vacation. We were 3 adults and 3 children, ages 8-12, and the house was perfectly suited to our needs. All the beds are comfortable and we took full advantage of the fully equipped kitchen for 1-2 meals a day, as eating out in Eleuthera can be painfully expensive. I also recommend renting the optional mini-van as well. It's not fancy, but it's perfect for navigating the sometimes very bumpy roads as you explore all the beaches Eleuthera has to offer. The caretaker (sorry but totally blanking on his name) was also super friendly and extremely responsive to any issues that came up during our stay. The owners are also very accessible and easy to work with and we will definitely return on future trips!"

"We stayed 1 week at the Kokomo house, and plan to return. The home is spacious, had everything we needed. We rented a car for the week which was arranged by Sandy the owner. Everything went as planned. The home is on the Atlantic side of the island, so the water was a little rougher than the Caribbean side of the island. You can swim or snorkel or play on the kayaks. The beach in front of kokomo is also long enough to take a nice evening walk. We went on a fishing charter with captain Paul with Captain Joe out of Davis Marina, caught several fish including a Mahi-Mahi. Make sure you go to 10 bay beach. Lighthouse beach was nice, but the road there was very rocky. The people of Eleuthra are very very nice. Food is expensive from US prices."
