"The Dolphin House is a wonderful place to stay. We agree with all of the other reviews, so will only add a few other observations. The house was spotless when we arrived and we later came to appreciate all of the hard work that goes into keeping the Dolphin House pristine. On our last day, Lisa, one of the ladies that works along with Brenda Stubbs, the caretaker, arrived a little before we left to get a jump start on cleaning the veranda. She actually took the gas grill apart and cleaned it, wiped down each chair and table, cleaned the windows and swept and mopped the deck. It was spotless and that was just the outside! Another groundskeeper was out front weeding, cleaning up leaves, pruning bushes, etc. This house is WELL taken care of! We really feel that we picked the best house on the island for both location and comfort.
The other thing that really stood out to us were the people on the island. They are the most humble and kind people that you will ever meet. We would see or meet someone one time and the next time they saw us, it was as if we were old friends. It was a priceless experience and I'm so glad that my kids got to experience this too.
Roger and Margie are wonderful people to deal with, very helpful and accommodating. The house is well-stocked. It has everything that you could possible think of .......and well labelled!
We could go on, but don't want to repeat what other reviewers have already said. We highly recommend this house and hope to be able to stay here again."

"Excellent lodging, great views, beautiful grounds, fantastic location! Ms. Jean was such an elegant lady and gracious host and full of information and historic tales. I would recommend to anyone! We loved it. We spent the last 4 days of an 11 day trip to the Bahamas and wished we had spent them all at this location. Don't miss the Friday night fish fry, and the bakery with fresh breads and sweets only a 2 block walk."

"Our family had a fantastic time staying at the Hamilton House. We found the location to be pretty central for all of the places we wanted to visit as well as for necessities (groceries in Rock Sound, etc.). The miles of perfectly pink beaches were exquisite especially since, for most of our trip, we had them all to ourselves. The people we met along the way were genuine, friendly and helpful. We used all of the toys and supplies the Hamilton House has to share. Thank you very much for allowing us to use your home. We'll be back!"

"My husband and I spent 12 nights at this gorgeous place this past Christmas. We can't say enough great things about the villa, the owners and the caretaker- even better than expected! The villa is spacious, spotless, airy and light, yet very comfortable and filled with whimsical marine-themed décor (some created by the owners, which adds such a nice touch!). We both love to cook and had most of our dinners at the villa; never did we want for anything in the kitchen it was so well-stocked. We especially enjoyed the huge terrace and the fact that the house sits back from the beach, offering much privacy. There is, however, a lovely wooden deck that sits right on the beach and has cozy Adirondack chairs. We've been to Eleuthera once before and believe all of Eleuthera is breathtaking but being in North Palmetto Point is very convenient. You can easily visit many beaches and points of interest such as Levy Preserve and Blue Hole, though the beach right out the door may be one of the nicest. (The book The Elusive Beaches of Eleuthera is highly recommended if you want to visit some awesome beaches.) North Palmetto Point is also close to restaurants and Island Farms, which sells fresh produce along with many home-made products including hummus, spinach dip, salsa, dressings and marinades. They also have baked goods on certain days of the week.
Both the owners and the caretaker also helped make this a great stay. Sal, the villa owner, was very helpful before and during our stay. He promptly answered all of our questions and made it clear we could contact him at any time without feeling we were bothering him; he seemed to truly want us to enjoy his bit of paradise. Sue, the caretaker, was also there to answer any questions and help out however she could. There was a short power outage, which is common, and Sue was able to assist in getting it back on in a fair amount of time.
All in all this was one of the best vacations we have ever taken and we plan on going back again next year! We have thought about trying other places but we've decided, why bother when we know Aqua Vista is perfect?"
