  • Memorable Anniversary

"We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to rent this beautiful home during Memorial Day Week for our 35th wedding anniversary. We brought my daughter and her boyfriend and we had a memorable vacation. The location across from Rainbow Beach was perfect. Although the days were gorgeous, the night skies were incredible. The stars were so bright and we even saw shooting stars the first night. The kids even did night snorkeling. The house had all the amenities we needed which included WIFI (which we really did not need but used anyway to obtain local knowledge). The TV wasn't turned on once as there was plenty to see and do without it. The caretaker, Freddy was great and we learned he is a big part of the local history. We would definitely make a return trip."

  • Amazing Honeymoon

"Go to Eleuthera and stay here!! We could not have picked a better place to spend our honeymoon. We stayed at Pura Vida for 10 nights and it was an amazing trip. Everything is as described and so much better in person. The view from the house and on the beach is exquisite. The grounds are even more private than pictured. You cannot be seen from inside the house or in most of the backyard by any neighboring houses or anyone on the beach. We only saw 2 people on the beach the whole time we were there. We loved laying in the hammock or in the loungers and watching the waves or stars. I would definitely recommend renting a jeep. There is so much to explore of the island and the roads are not in the best shape. Have some conch fritters and enjoy 1 of the many beautiful beaches! We found that no matter how many beaches we discovered, none were more beautiful than what we already had in Double Bay. We brought back a large back of pink sand and plenty of amazing memories with us. We are already planning our return trip. :)"

  • Wonderful owner

"I would like to share a wonderful experience I have had with Dave, the owner of Indigo Seas. I contacted Dave to ask questions about his property. He sincerely wanted to ensure his property met the needs of our little group, and was very honest about not being sure it would be big enough for us. He took the time to share with me a lot of very useful information about Rainbow Bay and the island. That was certainly greatly appreciated, and will help us plan our stay in Eleuthera. Dave was extremely generous and genuinely wanted us to have a great time in the Bahamas. His property did not meet the needs of our group, but otherwise, we would have stayed there for sure, feeling confident that this is a great spot with a very kind and honest owner who wishes his guests a great stay."

  • Great stay!

"Had a great 8 days at Caribbean Blue. Second year to wonderful Eleuthera. Observations on the rental (that haven't been already stated in reviews) follow. Great location with respect to the island. Close to town, about 5-7 minutes, and central on the island. It was awesome being able to hop in the water and snorkel around right behind the house. Not a super easy access to the water, (sorta a pool ladder onto some rocks into some mildly deep water. Not like walking in on a calm beach. My wife did it and she is a sissy, but a little kid or your mom or dad might have problems). Stayed east side last time and it was a hike down to the beach, and sometimes the water was rough. The sound side was calmer and clear, and there were fish, big and small, coral, and starfish aplenty. Mostly rocky algae as opposed to coral reefs, but there were small coral heads and corals interspersed. Saw butterfly fish, sgtmjrs, yellowrays, groupers and other cool fish all the time. Saw a lobster once. I've snorkeld stt, stj, cayman and Jamaica and thought this was just great. Not insane but plenty cool. Shade and sun at all times. The tiki was nice. Outside shower nice. No beach. Downside, hard to walk on no beach. Upside, no sand all over the place. Feel the need to sweep all the time when there's sand about. Wasn't a problem here. Wouldn't recommend walking north or south of the property with less than sneakers tied tight. This however leads to the next item.. Seclusion. Didn't see anyone within 500 yards of the property (while we were there). Heard that the nearest neighbor is a snowbird. I think the only people who could have seen us was a boat or two outside said 500 yards. Fins, floaties, kayak, fishing gear, spear, coolers, chairs, NICE beach towels/bath towels, comfy beds. Nicely cleaner than my last rental. Did not want for kitchenware. Understand there is now wifi if you buy a card in town and power up an app on the home cell phone. Did not try this but seems sound in theory. You don't need wifi in paradise. Let it go. The driveway. It was too rough for the 2002 Malibu we rented last year. Glad we had the clean 09 CRV offered by Shad and Barry the caretakers. Very minor suggestions Nice lounge chairs would be cool. The existing beach chairs work but seem insufficient at "home". Additional kayak would be nice for more than two. Would recommend for two couples or fam of 5. Loved the place. Thanks Kerry, Shad and Barry."
