  • A perfect hideaway with a fantastic view!

"We are from Germany and stayed at Bahamavilla in august 2014 (2 adults + a 7-year-old girl). The house is very nice, the view is really fantastic! The Caribbean Sea beginns just right in front of the beautiful terrace, you are surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. The nearby beach "Ten bay beach" also is great for swimming and shelling. The house has a large open-air-terrace, 1 livingroom and 2 bedrooms. Furniture is o. k. and in good shape, the beds are great. Nothing is dirty or smells bad. The house is very clean. The kitchen furniture and the kitchen stuff are a little bit old and tacky but they work. The bathroom is o. k., washbasin + toilet are nearly new, the bathtub and the wall tiles are old, bathtub-faucet is rusty, but this is really no problem at all. The telephone line was broken during our complete stay, so we had no internet and always had to go to a public internet facility at Governor's Harbour which is 10 miles away. Our resumé: if you are coming from Florida or the East Coast of the U. S., Bahamavilla is perfect. You have a real "Robinson-feeling" (even without internet ...), Eleuthera is a nice destination. But coming the long way from Europe (as we were), paying US 1.700 per person for the 10-hours-flight, you better go to Floridas West Coast, the Maldives or a 4/5-star-resort in Asia where you have more comfort and cleanness of the island. Eleuthera is a great place with wonderful beaches, the people are very friendly, we never felt insecure. Food shopping, dining, rental cars (these are often very old + rotten, but cost 70 dollar per day), gasoline and all other items are double the price than in the U. S. We had very relaxing holidays on Eleuthera, if you want real recreation you will find it there. Don't forget to go to the "fish fry" at Governor's Harbour each friday evening. Thanks to Emmy for always answering me so quickly, you have a wonderful house."

  • Picture Perfect

"We were looking for the perfect place for a family vacation as well as our 25th wedding anniversary and we found our slice of heaven at Kokomo. After seeing the photos we decided we wanted to renew our vows on the beach. I cant express in words how "picture perfect" it was. Not often do you find a property that is everything as described, but Kokomo is. The beach is breath taking and we hardly ever saw anyone else in 7 days. We snorkeled everyday right off our beach and it was like an aquarium. We were impressed by not only the quantity of equipment such as snorkels, fishing gear and kayaks, but the superior quality. We have a 19yr and 14 yr old boy and they were never bored. There is as much or as little to do as you want. The house has everything you need and much more. The towels were superior quality and plenty of them, kitchen was nicely equipped even down to cookbooks. We never were concerned about water quality because there is a filtration system at both kitchen sinks. Even the day it rained, we raided the games closet and played several games we had never even heard of and had a blast. Sandy, the property owner is fabulous. She answered all our questions prior to arrival and even called to see how we were once we arrived. There are plenty of resources to use in the house to determine your adventures. We loved the "Big White Book" which is filled with information on the local restaurants, excursion activities, bars, events and much more. I think Sandy has thought of everything to make your stay wonderful. Stanton, the caretaker met us at the airport with a huge smile and the keys to the house and our rental car. Our first stop was his daughter's restaurant, "Sweet Dreams". From the outside it looks just like a little house but the food was some of the best we had.His customer service as is everyone's on the island impeccable. They go out of their way to help you. Even the grocery store stayed open late the day we arrived so that we could shop. If you are looking for the resort life filled with high adventures, gifts shops on every corner and some stranger fighting you for a place on the beach, this isn't' the place but if you are looking a beautiful fully equipped home to enjoy the majestic pink sand beach and snorkeling right off of your back porch then book NOW! We can't wait to return."

  • Unforgettable, exotic and beautiful honeymoon

"My husband and I were looking for a relaxing, exotic island location for our honeymoon and were so pleased to find it here at the Star Fish cottage in Gregory Towb, Eleuthera. The owners, Kimy and Terry were so kind and welcoming to us immediately upon our arrival. They provided us with suggestions of beautiful beaches to see and things to do on the island that suited our needs and likes. It is definitely necessary to rent a car in order to see all the amazing beaches in Eleuthera, and Kimy and Terry helped arrange all the details of the car rental. We also greatly enjoyed the time spent at the cottage, especially the snorkeling right off the dock in the Gregory Town cove, where we saw lots of neat fish. There is no restroom in the cottage itself, which may not be for everyone, but we didn't mind as the restroom is located right outside the cottage and we always felt very safe everywhere on the island. One of our favorite spots to eat was The Front Porch, where the food is fresh and absolutely delicious. Our favorite beach was the French Leave beach, where we walked on soft pink sand for miles and did not see more than 5 other people. Ultimately, we had an amazing, relaxing, at times adventurous, honeymoon. Without hesitation, I recommend the Starfish Cottage or any other property that these owners manage. They are incredibly kind people and will go out of their way to ensure your stay at Eleuthera is memorable and relaxing...the perfect island experience!"

  • Nice and quaint home away from home!

"This house is a really nice and quaint place to stay in Eleuthera. They were spot on with the pictures and the amenities are very comfortable. The house and yard are well-maintained with a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. Internet access would have been great, but we made do. The owner is friendly, accommodating and provided great customer service!"
