  • Perfect Vacation

"We just got back from two amazing weeks at Dolphin House! What a dream! The house is very nice and the huge veranda is fabulous. We went to a lot of other beaches, Lighthouse, Ten Bay, Alabaster, Gaulding Cay, etc, and I have to say, some of the best snorkeling was right there in Rainbow Bay. Even if you didn't rent a car for your entire stay, you could stay entertained and busy right from the house. Several nice Atlantic side beaches are close enough to ride the bikes to. We saw queen angelfish, starfish, 3 kinds of rays, tubeworms, grouper and dozens of other species of beautiful fish at Rainbow beach. We found lots of sand dollars right in front of the house. Sitting on the veranda in the evenings we saw a whale and dolphins. We absolutely loved being able to swim or kayak right from the property. The herbs in the garden were great to have on hand and we used some when cooking our meals. I was pleasantly surprised to find the lemon grass! I think we found the best rental on the island! The people of Eleuthera are so friendly and we felt completely safe everywhere we went. Kean, Billy and Brenda are wonderful and I recommend the Stubbs BBQ to anyone staying in the area. We hope to return soon!"

  • Vacation of a lifetime

"From the moment you open the front door and see the large tastefully appointed rooms you know that this home is going to be different than other vacation homes. Then you look through the huge sliding glass doors opening out onto the Atlantic, hear the waves pounding to your deserted beachfront and feel the warm temperature and humidity and you know that this is the vacation of a lifetime. The house itself is brilliantly laid out, large high ceiling living and dining rooms, open kitchen, master bedroom with attached screened lanai and fans in every room for keeping a gentle airflow. During our winter getaway we didn’t even need the A/C. Another thing we ended up not needing was the TV/home entertainment system. While nice, it can't compete with the view off the veranda - the ocean during the day and the stars at night. And that star gazing - satellites, planets, constellations, shooting stars - is excellent due to the darkest skies you will see. In the morning you'll find little lizards warming to the sun, crabs running around the beach, a killdeer (??!!) and butterflies everywhere. Spend some time relaxing at the front door and you may see the Bahama Woodstar hummingbird checking out the various flowers in the well-tended acreage or just resting in the j shaped branch by the front step. This home is a great home base for traveling in either direction on the island it's pretty much midpoint to Cape Eleuthera and lighthouse beach in the south and Current cut, Spanish Wells and Harbour Island in the north. Be sure to get out of the car and wander around at Glass Window bridge, it is a bucket list item. There are enough maps and other stuff to more that pique your curiosity if you feel like wandering. And for the lazy days, your private beach on the Atlantic is a few steps from the door. Ten Bay beach on the Caribbean is tranquil and beautiful. The island is far enough from the beaten path that you rarely encounter other people; you usually have miles and miles of beach to yourself. But it is just developed enough that there are stores (expensive), restaurants (also expensive) and island home grown stands (inexpensive and wonderful). Pura Vida is a perfect home on a perfect island. Though large for just the two of us, we always appreciated the place. One thing you will want to do before you come down is to back some light long pants and a long sleeve shirt as well as some bug repellant if you' re going to be out at dawn and dusk."

  • Best Of Three Weeks in Eleuthera

"I rented Tim's place for a vacation with my daughter, son-in-law, and my two little grandchildren. The house was perfect for all of us - spacious and well equipped, including very comfortable beds, nice linens and plenty of towels. The kids loved the sandy play area and we loved relaxing under the palm trees. We really enjoyed the wifi and TV after sundown, especially Canadian coverage of the final men's hockey game in the Olympics! Our day trips to beautiful beaches all over the island never ceased to amaze. We loved the nearby Ten Bay Beach the best. The location in Palmetto Point is a perfect home base for daily exploring. Making arrangements for our vacation with Tim was easy and seamless. Caretaker Chris was always available to assist in our arrival and questions throughout the week. Thank you Tim and Chris! We had a wonderful stay at The Palms!"

  • Great 2 weeks in October!

"This beach house is amazing! we had such a great time, everything was exactly as promised. The beach house was clean, and had a fun Caribbean style. It was furnished with everything we could have ever needed. Jim and Holly were great to work with and probably the best property owners we have worked with over the years. They really cared about making our trip special! We spent 2 weeks and were glad that we had packed lots of food, we hit the island during a time that most of the restaurants were closed before the season starts. We ate at the Sunset Inn when we first arrived and the food was good, its always fun to eat on a nice verandah and enjoy the sunset. The BBQ works amazing and we love to cook so things were fine regardless of the restaurants being closed. The beach is quiet and private, it was like having our own beach, it was a nice getaway and hope to go back in the coming years! The property managers Doyle and Ada were great once we arrived to help us get set up and figure every thing out. THANKS for making our trip wonderful!"
