  • our second home

"This was our 2nd year visiting Seastar. We were there 2 weeks and took a vacation within our vacation by flying to Eleuthera for a couple days. As always, we loved our stay at Seastar. Chat n chill is a great place to visit on Sunday, as that is the pig roast day! We rented a boat this time and explored the waterways and did some great snorkeling. I am sure I am addicted to cracked chicken from Charlie's at fish fry too. Plenty to do in the off season If you are adventurous. We are just glad the weather held out again in the peak of hurricane season!"

  • Perfectly Beautiful!

"We spent 7 days at Turtle Rock House and it was everything we hoped for. The house is very spacious and clean as shown in the pictures. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked. The view is perfect. Nothing like waking up every morning and gazing past your toes at the clear blue ocean! Tropic of Cancer Beach is pristine and secluded. It is just minutes from Santannas Grill which is the BEST place to eat on the island. It was very windy during our stay which seemed to mess with the satellite T.V. but with the view who needs T.V? The owners were wonderful to deal with. Hope to return in the near future!"

  • They Don't Call it Paradise Point for Nothing!

"I am a returner 'offender' as I have been to this rental property and Great Exuma several times. I will warn those who are looking for the Ritz or an all inclusive -- you've come to the wrong place! This is a wonderful island and a wonderful house. It sits up overlooking an almost private beach -- saw one other person while we were there -- and a bluer-than-blue ocean view. The house is open and bright with the main living room big enough for four of us to relax comfortably when we were there. The kitchen was showing some salt/sand wear and tear but we were told by the owner that the kitchen remodeling would be done this fall to include new cabinets, countertops and appliances! If you are looking for a affordable retreat away from a typical touristy beach, this island and this home is definitely the place for you. Unlike other resort islands, vacationers have the opportunity to absorb the culture and interact with the locals -- Sunday pig roast on Stocking Island is a must! PS the owner and caretaker were very friendly and took care of us and any requests we had... and coming from a busy city like Washington, DC the traffic (an occasional car) I saw someone else comment about -- was definitely not worth noting!
