"This was our 2nd year visiting Seastar. We were there 2 weeks and took a vacation within our vacation by flying to Eleuthera for a couple days. As always, we loved our stay at Seastar. Chat n chill is a great place to visit on Sunday, as that is the pig roast day! We rented a boat this time and explored the waterways and did some great snorkeling. I am sure I am addicted to cracked chicken from Charlie's at fish fry too. Plenty to do in the off season If you are adventurous. We are just glad the weather held out again in the peak of hurricane season!"

"We couldn’t have been more pleased with our rental of Mayaguana House on our recent visit to the Exumas. It is just such a wonderful property with everything we were looking for. The 180 degree turquoise water views from the house are mesmerizing. The shaded terrace with a variety of very comfortable furnishings for snoozing, lounging or dining were ideal for morning coffee and refreshing after a busy day exploring the island. The abundant and well-kept gardens with meandering paths leading to secluded sitting areas or water access made it feel like you were at a resort. The private beach less than 2 minutes walk down a flower lined path was delightful, and just 50 ft further a private beach park all to ourselves! The great location off the Queen’s Highway in the middle of the island, close to Georgetown makes it an ideal base to explore the island.
As beautiful as the outside spaces were, the inside spaces were just as nice with high quality, comfortable furnishings, great beds with good linens, A/C throughout the house which only was needed at night to cool down as the breezes coming off the water help cool the house. The house is tastefully decorated with unique island art and Caribbean sea theme. The kitchen is so well-equipped and stocked and all appliances in working order made dining in feel like you were at your own home! We didn’t want for any item, it was all there. Wireless Internet, Satellite TV and an In-House + Terrace music system all nice additions in perfect working order to keep in touch back home and add an entertainment option when desired.
When venturing out to explore the beautiful island we had everything we needed, all provided by Mayaguana; beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, picnic basket, multiple coolers of various sizes, beer coozies for your Kalik! We rented a boat for two days from Minns and having all these items made it so easy to boat to our own private island and be fully comfortable and equipped!
Pam, the owner, was very easy to work with; very responsive and made the rental and arrival process a breeze! We have been renting island properties for the last 10 years on our travels across the Caribbean and Mayaguana is truly one of the best we have stayed at. Highly Recommended!"

"We love The Exumas. The magnificent beaches, great food and friendly people make it a wonderful place to visit. Coconut Cottage is a beautiful home, equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed visiting a new beach everyday, shopping at the local shops including Smitty's and Prime Island Meats, lunch out at the many restaurants, Santana's, Tropical Breeze, Paradise Bay, Big D's, Splash, Chat n' Chill to name some. Most nights were spent on the spacious deck barbequing dinner and enjoying the sunsets.
Norman and Julie ,as hosts, who live in The Cays with their family of dogs, were helpful and informative.
The straw market and the old tree in the centre of town burnt to the ground while we were there but the community is already hard at work to replace it so it will soon rise again and we wish them well in their endeavors.
Joanna was quick to respond to any questions prior to arrival and the booking was simple and uncomplicated.
This is a home, not a vacation rental, and the clock in the kitchen says it all....".Bahamian Time".......Relax, Unwind and Enjoy.
It was a pleasure to visit Coconut Cottage and this island and we thank Joanna and her family for allowing us to share their home.....we hope to return......"

"This is a very nice house in February Point. It is at least as nice as the pictures. The finishes and furniture are all high quality and in like-new condition. There was one very minor maintenance item with the house which we emailed the owner about and he had a plumber there within hours to fix it. We spent many hours looking on VRBO debating where to stay on our trip to the Exumas. After going, I highly recommend February Point over other much more remote areas such as Tar Bay, etc. and inside February Point, this house is a very good option."
