  • Great experience and Location

"This was our second stay in Exuma and by far our favorite visit so far. On our first stay in July 2014 we stayed at the Sandals resort and realized after venturing into Georgetown and renting a boat for the day that we were missing most of what this beautiful island had to offer. When searching for a rental for our stay in October we did a lot of research on where to stay to be in an optimal location for all that Georgetown and Stocking island has to offer. Paradise Palm was in the perfect location and the Villa was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for the stay. This was my first time booking a vacation rental directly from the owner so I was overwhelmed at first but the owners were quick to reply to my many questions, and made the process very easy. There are many options for dining and night life within a short walking distance from the villa which came in handy the nights that we were too tired to cook for ourselves. If cooking is your thing the villa included everything we needed to make several meals and snacks. Bottom line: -The location is great for getting to Georgetown and stocking island quickly. -The owners of the villa and the staff onsite are all very friendly and accommodating -You can keep your boat rental from Minns right outside your -Exuma is very safe no need to worry about staying in resort areas to feel safe. We hitchhiked back from town one day and would never even consider doing that on any other islands we have been to or even in the USA -Jolly Holly beach is a short walk away. The villas also have a very nice pool area as well as paddle boards and kayaks -Villa is clean and very nice -Better than Sandals! We will be staying at Paradise Palm again"

  • They Don't Call it Paradise Point for Nothing!

"I am a returner 'offender' as I have been to this rental property and Great Exuma several times. I will warn those who are looking for the Ritz or an all inclusive -- you've come to the wrong place! This is a wonderful island and a wonderful house. It sits up overlooking an almost private beach -- saw one other person while we were there -- and a bluer-than-blue ocean view. The house is open and bright with the main living room big enough for four of us to relax comfortably when we were there. The kitchen was showing some salt/sand wear and tear but we were told by the owner that the kitchen remodeling would be done this fall to include new cabinets, countertops and appliances! If you are looking for a affordable retreat away from a typical touristy beach, this island and this home is definitely the place for you. Unlike other resort islands, vacationers have the opportunity to absorb the culture and interact with the locals -- Sunday pig roast on Stocking Island is a must! PS the owner and caretaker were very friendly and took care of us and any requests we had... and coming from a busy city like Washington, DC the traffic (an occasional car) I saw someone else comment about -- was definitely not worth noting! • Quiet Exuma Getaway.

"Exuma is a beautiful island. A great place to go if you want to relax with a a good book or rest in a comfortable hammock with an amazing view. Johannas place is as lovely as she is. It is clean and well equipped with everything you would probably need. Her location is on a very quiet part of the island. (Probably 20 minutes from Georgetown) We were able to use her 2 kayaks to kayak to beautiful little deserted islands. We also kayaked down to the new Turquoise Cay ($$$$) Restaurant (Excellent food and ambience). We snorkeled once out in front of the dock. Not a lot to see under water compared to other islands that we've been to. The best part of Exuma is the views! Favorite meals were at Santana's $22 double lobster tails and Latitudes - good food and fun bartender Alex!"

  • Wonderful

"This house is wonderful, and there is really no other way to describe it. If you are interested in relaxing this is the place for you. We spent the entire week on the beach right in front of the house and didn't see anyone else until the day before we left. The house is located about a 2 minute drive from Georgetown where you can eat out or buy your groceries. Which was very convenient. The homeowners were very nice and provided us a lot of information before our stay. We would highly recommend you stay here if you are looking to stay in Exuma."
