"My husband & I were fortunate to spend a week at Johanna's lovely cottage. It was so relaxing & peaceful exactly what we were looking for an anniversary getaway. Johanna was a treat to deal with & had answers to any questions we may have had. The cottage was well equipped & had all you would need. We spent a few nights in barbecuing & cooking, but also enjoyed the evenings we would be out. Like everyone has commented on, Lucky & Sophie were a special treat & we loved having them around. Another added bonus was Edmond, Johanna's caretaker, he was always available if we had any questions or recommendations. A wonderful guy! Exuma's beaches are spectacular, like nothing we've ever seen before. Tropic of Cancer, Forbes Hill, Hooper's Bay, Jolly Hall & even one we discovered on our own were unbelievable. We look forward to returning some day, sooner than later we hope. Thank you again Johanna."

"We love The Exumas. The magnificent beaches, great food and friendly people make it a wonderful place to visit. Coconut Cottage is a beautiful home, equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed visiting a new beach everyday, shopping at the local shops including Smitty's and Prime Island Meats, lunch out at the many restaurants, Santana's, Tropical Breeze, Paradise Bay, Big D's, Splash, Chat n' Chill to name some. Most nights were spent on the spacious deck barbequing dinner and enjoying the sunsets.
Norman and Julie ,as hosts, who live in The Cays with their family of dogs, were helpful and informative.
The straw market and the old tree in the centre of town burnt to the ground while we were there but the community is already hard at work to replace it so it will soon rise again and we wish them well in their endeavors.
Joanna was quick to respond to any questions prior to arrival and the booking was simple and uncomplicated.
This is a home, not a vacation rental, and the clock in the kitchen says it all....".Bahamian Time".......Relax, Unwind and Enjoy.
It was a pleasure to visit Coconut Cottage and this island and we thank Joanna and her family for allowing us to share their home.....we hope to return......"

"We booked last minute and the owners were more than accommodating. They stayed in touch throughout and made it very easy to book. The house is in arguably the best location on the island. Its quiet, back from the road and safe. Many of the other rentals on the island are right on the road. There is Prime Island Deli and Meats about 5 min away and a bank with an atm there too. Smitty's is about 7 min where you can get groceries and there is a liquor store next to them. The house is perfect for 2 couples or a family. Each room has its own controllable A/C. The kitchen has all the utensils and dishes you will ever need. There is a microwave, toaster and coffee maker as well as a 5 gallon water dispenser in the pantry for drinking. They have good strong WIFI and cable, multiple stereos, movies and board games. They truly make it feel like home! The grill out back was perfect for cooking steaks and sausage that we bought at Prime Island. There is a screened in porch on the side of the house. There was also a 2 seat Kayak to use. The beach was nice and sandy and while there are some rocks if you go a few feet to the left there are none in the water. Close proximity to the airport."
