  • BEST Vacation yet!

"Wow! where do I begin? We've just returned from a 2 week holiday on this fantastic island. Our experience was top notch from the beginning conversations with Belle to the final conversations once home. Belle and Mason's home is exactly as it is portrayed on the website so you won't have to worry about what is advertised and what you might get. There were 6 in our party and there was more than enough room for us all. Miss Betty was there to greet us and was sweet as could be. She popped in now and then to see if there was anything we needed or brought us fresh tomatoes off her vine. It was also really nice to have free calling back home! The location was perfect for us as it was away from the busy areas but close enough that we could take a short ferry ride into Port Lucaya. Just outside your front door (5min) walk to the left is Taino Beach and it is exactly as you see in the photo up to the right hand corner of the page. The sand is fine and the waters warm. A 5 min walk to the right takes you to the cute like ferry that takes you a short distance into Port Lucaya where you can shop or try their local restaurants. Just out your back door there is a pool....it may be a community pool but it's like your own private pool as the other tenants don't use it. After a few hours at local beaches it was a nice way to spend our afternoons beside the pool with drinks and snacks. The canal is also right outside the back door. Mostly pretty quiet, sometimes the banana boat with screams of laughter will pass by. At night we would lay on the dock and watch the stars or watch the phosphorescent water light up in the dark. A great way to spend the evening! The beaches we went to were as pretty as the one outside your front door. We snorkeled with a company called Exotic Adventures and Keith was our captain. They were the best price and took us to a spectacular area. This was probably the best money we spent while there. Andrew (our friendly concierge) was so good to us! He seems to know everything about anything....and he made us THE BEST dinner!!! It was nice to know someone was picking us up at the airport too. Andrew took us to the local Fish Fry (every Wednesday night) where we had such a good time eating the local foods and dancing the night away. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the idea of how our two weeks were :) Thank you Belle and Mason for opening your home to us. We will return again! Julie, Steve, Sandy, Jim, Wendy and Heather"

  • Days in Paradise

"My wife, 2 young children (aged 3 and 5) and I spent three wonderful weeks in this house. It is the first time I have been anywhere where the property is actually better than the sales pics. While the property is as you see it on the YouTube video it actually feels more spacious when you get inside and the beach/ocean is far closer than expected. The house is also extremely well equipped and you feel very much looked after by the local manager. In terms of positioning the property couldn't be in a better spot and the beach and water are very safe for small kids. There is also some decent snorkelling 30yrds off the shore. It is close enough to the amenities and main town (10 mins drive) but far enough away to feel a sense of detachment from the world.. There is also enough to do on the island (don't miss the dolphin experience) if you can be bothered to drag yourself from the beach! I can't recommend this property enough."

  • Fantastic Vacation!

"This was our first time renting a condo as opposed to doing the all inclusive thing. We had a crazy cab ride to Hampton Court, and upon arriving we were a little apprehensive (mostly because we didn't know the whereabouts of the necessities such as; grocery & liquor store, market place, restaurants, and beach). But once we got our bearings, we realized that the location of the condo is perfect. A less than 10 minute walk brought you to beach and restaurants. The grocery store & liquor store (located in the same plaza) was about a 15-20 minute walk, which we did, then coming back we took the bus ($1.25 each) which was very straight forward. There was 3 of us in the condo, so the 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms worked out perfect. The condo is on the ground floor with the back door leading directly to the patio with pool. This was where we had our coffee and breakfast every morning. We used the pool almost daily, but mostly enjoyed relaxing around it with a drink after a hard day at the beach. We had a couple of small issues in the condo which Lisa promptly resolved after we contacted her via email. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The dining area has a table for 4, but we ate outside on the patio. The living room is very comfortable. There is a land line which we used a couple of times for local calls. WiFi is available as well. The condo also backs on the canal, so there is a nice dock with picnic table which we used a few times. Lisa provided an information package in advance with everything that you need to know about the condo and the area which was very helpful. We were going to rent a car to do day trip but found out that they have a 3 day minimum, so we didn't bother. You don't really need a car if you are just going to hang out at the beach or Port Lucaya. We felt very safe walking around the area, even at night after a yummy dinner in the market place. Everyone that we passed along the route to the beach / market place, be it locals or vacationers, was very friendly and always said hi to us. We hope to make it back next year!"

  • Wonderful stay

"We spent a week here in March and had a wonderful time! The accommodations were perfect for our family of 4, plenty of space and comfort. Enough dishes to have what we needed and a gas grill right below the balcony to use for grilling. The view from the balcony was spectacular! Just steps from both the beach and the pool. The resort has paddleboards, kayaks, snorkel gear, pool toys, bikes, shuffleboard, giant chess board/pieces and more, all available for guests to use! Great snorkeling right at the resort. Harold and his staff are a lot of fun and make great recommendations for things to do and see. We booked a boat trip from the resort and were able to spear lobsters, catch fish and snorkel at a shipwreck. We rented a car so we could explore but you wouldn't need one, the resort will take you places and does offer airport shuttle service (for a fee). The tiki bar on the beach has excellent food and drinks. The marina restaurant was a little inconsistent but had great outdoor seating where you could watch the activities in the marina. The owner, Steve, was very quick to respond to inquiries and offered great suggestions for our stay. We hope to go back again!"
