"I can't even begin to speak about how awesome our trip was! I am a descendant of Grand Bahama and went back home for our annual family reunion. We were tired of the regular hotel experience and wanted to be more relaxed and comfortable. I went with my two sons, my sister and her fiance, and there was more than enough room to accommodate all of us (the purple room is my favorite)! Out of habit, we went straight to the grocery store, to stock up on basic necessities and by the time we got to the rental unit, we discovered that everything we purchased was already there! There isn't anything that Ricardo & Susan hadn't thought of. My kids thoroughly enjoyed there DVD collection, and the pets were an excellent plus.
Ricardo & Susan were very hospitable and they ensured that everything was fine throughout or stay. I can't wait to get back there, as this will definitely be our vacation home every year for our reunion trip!"

"This was our first time renting a condo as opposed to doing the all inclusive thing. We had a crazy cab ride to Hampton Court, and upon arriving we were a little apprehensive (mostly because we didn't know the whereabouts of the necessities such as; grocery & liquor store, market place, restaurants, and beach). But once we got our bearings, we realized that the location of the condo is perfect. A less than 10 minute walk brought you to beach and restaurants. The grocery store & liquor store (located in the same plaza) was about a 15-20 minute walk, which we did, then coming back we took the bus ($1.25 each) which was very straight forward.
There was 3 of us in the condo, so the 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms worked out perfect. The condo is on the ground floor with the back door leading directly to the patio with pool. This was where we had our coffee and breakfast every morning. We used the pool almost daily, but mostly enjoyed relaxing around it with a drink after a hard day at the beach.
We had a couple of small issues in the condo which Lisa promptly resolved after we contacted her via email. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The dining area has a table for 4, but we ate outside on the patio. The living room is very comfortable. There is a land line which we used a couple of times for local calls. WiFi is available as well. The condo also backs on the canal, so there is a nice dock with picnic table which we used a few times.
Lisa provided an information package in advance with everything that you need to know about the condo and the area which was very helpful. We were going to rent a car to do day trip but found out that they have a 3 day minimum, so we didn't bother. You don't really need a car if you are just going to hang out at the beach or Port Lucaya.
We felt very safe walking around the area, even at night after a yummy dinner in the market place. Everyone that we passed along the route to the beach / market place, be it locals or vacationers, was very friendly and always said hi to us.
We hope to make it back next year!"

"We had a great time staying at the Riviera Villas. The manager was very personable and helpful about where things are on the island, local events, etc. We didn't mind that we weren't on the beach because it took 3 seconds to walk there. It's closer to the quieter end of the beach, which we really liked. The condo is also very close to town. We did not rent a car since we were only there for 5 days and planned on staying in the area. It's a great walk along the beach to the Lucaya Market (also safe at night but watch out for the rising tide!) The condo itself was clean, quiet and comfortable. Wifi is available which is really nice for looking things up (although they do provide a map). The owner was very helpful as well and prompt with her email responses and following up.
There are a couple of things that I would say were less than favorable. We were told we may have to buy paper products for the condo (as in TP and what-have-you). We didn't have to since there were two rolls, but I wasn't thrilled about the idea that I would have to stock the condo with essentials like that. I'm not sure if it would have even been feasible that first day - that would have been VERY inconvenient. There also wasn't any dish soap. There was a bottle under the sink of very watered down soap - someone was clearly trying to make it stretch. Again, I just feel that things like that should be provided.
Great place to stay overall and would highly recommend for a beautiful relaxing vacation."

"Don and Liz was great. We was on the run from the minute we got there but Don and Liz keep calling until they got ahold of us to see if we needed anything. They're place was amazing. Clean, Beautiful, Close to the beach and a pool, and the cleaning lady was one of the nicest people I meet there. Don and Liz gave us a packet with fun things to do and a very amazing taxi driver (Queenie) I would go back just for her lol. On our ride from the air port Queenies son in law saw we had kids and that they loved the coconuts so he took us to Queenies house and let them pick one off the tree. This was the first time I have ever been out of the country and I have to say Don and Liz made it very pleasant. There was lots of sleeping area and large bathrooms, Water to drink, a whole packet down to a taxi drive for things to do. I was very please. Thank you so much Don and Liz."
