"The room had every amenity of home, right down to the washer and dryer!! The property and the buildings are very well kept and quite secure.
We had to get customer service to come in to check two TV's and the response was really quick and professional.
I didn't even notice that the rooms had no phone until Saturday afternoon, it was just too much other things to focus on and that was a nice change from the usual hustle and bustle.
I would definitely recommend the property to anyone coming over and I hope to be able to return myself in the near future.
The pool right outside the door was so nice to see and the lake was such a tranquil sight to see.
Dolphin Cove is definitely the place to stay!!"

"This was our first time renting a condo as opposed to doing the all inclusive thing. We had a crazy cab ride to Hampton Court, and upon arriving we were a little apprehensive (mostly because we didn't know the whereabouts of the necessities such as; grocery & liquor store, market place, restaurants, and beach). But once we got our bearings, we realized that the location of the condo is perfect. A less than 10 minute walk brought you to beach and restaurants. The grocery store & liquor store (located in the same plaza) was about a 15-20 minute walk, which we did, then coming back we took the bus ($1.25 each) which was very straight forward.
There was 3 of us in the condo, so the 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms worked out perfect. The condo is on the ground floor with the back door leading directly to the patio with pool. This was where we had our coffee and breakfast every morning. We used the pool almost daily, but mostly enjoyed relaxing around it with a drink after a hard day at the beach.
We had a couple of small issues in the condo which Lisa promptly resolved after we contacted her via email. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The dining area has a table for 4, but we ate outside on the patio. The living room is very comfortable. There is a land line which we used a couple of times for local calls. WiFi is available as well. The condo also backs on the canal, so there is a nice dock with picnic table which we used a few times.
Lisa provided an information package in advance with everything that you need to know about the condo and the area which was very helpful. We were going to rent a car to do day trip but found out that they have a 3 day minimum, so we didn't bother. You don't really need a car if you are just going to hang out at the beach or Port Lucaya.
We felt very safe walking around the area, even at night after a yummy dinner in the market place. Everyone that we passed along the route to the beach / market place, be it locals or vacationers, was very friendly and always said hi to us.
We hope to make it back next year!"

"We stayed in this condo for two and a half weeks in the month of March. The unit has been updated, it's well maintained and equipped and is attractively decorated, although the building itself could do with some sprucing up. The owners' list of suggestions, of what to do and where to eat on Grand Bahama, was invaluable. All in all, we were very pleased with the condo unit and the ease of access from there to a spectacular beach that was always uncrowded.

"Wow. I hardly know where to even begin with this review! We loved everything about our stay at Old Bahama Bay! Our unit was perfect for our needs, super clean with perfect access to the water. We counted 47 steps from our porch to the beach! We enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking, swimming in the pool, riding bikes around the property, playing shuffleboard, relaxing in the hammock or lawn chair on the beach. Harold at the activity hut is probably the most delightful person I have ever met. So warm, enthusiastic, helpful, and simply charming in every way! We also were able to meet owners Steve and Ellen, and they too are wonderful folks. Steve and I exchanged multiple emails from the time we decided to stay here until the time we arrived, and he answered my endless questions with great patience and a sweet attitude. (Usually within minutes!).
The food at the Teasers, the Tiki Bar was very good, especially the coconut french toast, though they close early during the week. The food at the marina was quite disappointing, and the service extremely slow, so bypass that choice for an early dinner at Teasers, or grill something yourself on one of the multiple grills on the property.
I highly recommend renting a car so that you can see a bit of the rest of the Island. DO NOT MISS the Gold Rock beach, part of the Lucayan National Park. It is simply breathtaking, though does require a bit of a walk to get to.
While this vacation was our first trip to the Bahamas, it certainly will not be our last!"
