  • Great condo in a great location

"My husband, daughter, and son-in-law, and I stayed here for a week in November. The condo was terrific and looks just like the pictures on the site. The large patio is an added bonus! My husband and I have stayed at 2 other condos in this complex and this condo is the best. The beach out front is beautiful and has palapa umbrellas for your convenience. We love Freeport and high recommend it as a scuba diving location. Owner was a pleasure to work with and answered all my questions promptly. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • I proposed at Dolphin Cove!

"Dolphin Cove was the perfect choice for a short Valentine's Day trip to Grand Bahama! We wanted to make our own adventure and explore the island for ourselves. Dolphin Cove was nicely suited as the 'home base' for our visit. The apartment was exactly as described: super clean, quiet, and everything we needed. The location is very convenient and getting around is easy with the help of a map. We ultimately rented a car which is recommended (sidewalks are nonexistent and cab fares can add up quickly). We quickly found the supermarket, the Port Lucaya Market, casino, and plenty of restaurants to choose from. One day we ventured to Paradise Cove for kayaking and snorkeling. Another day we explored the Garden of the Groves. Yet another day we struck out to the east, past the national park and stumbled upon Bishop's Beach Bar on a gorgeous beach in a remote part of the island (a pleasant surprise). Don and the staff at the Dolphin Cove club house were friendly and gracious hosts at a reception on Thursday night. The complimentary glass of wine was appreciated and we stayed for dinner... the fire-oven pizza was terrific and we met some other very nice guests. Overall, Dolphin Cove met our needs, and served as an ideal alternative to a resort stay. If you're a "do it yourself" vacationer or just prefer a quiet spot away from the fray, you'll love Dolphin Cove! Oh! And she said, "yes"! Dolphin Cove was a perfect choice for us and a lovely backdrop to propose to my beautiful (now) fiancee! Enjoy!"

  • 28 wonderful days

"The condo is exactly as described, well maintained and very clean. Taino beach is 5 mins walk and they let you onto the beach and their restaurant, and bar. The water ferry to Port Lucaya is also right there.Getting food will require more effort if you do not have transport. This was a nice quiet location for a vacation with a pool and easy access to any adventure you want."

  • Great trip, great condo!

"We had 3 children 10 and under with us and had a blast swimming, snorkeling and fishing near the condo. The condo itself is beautiful and all the helpful tips on car rental, fishing charter, etc were spot on. We definitely would choose this condo again. P.s. it's no big deal driving on the left side...give it a try if you haven't and explore the island."

Grand Bahama Travel Tips

Grand Bahama Vacation Rentals Are Gateways to Paradise

The Bahamas is made up of around 700 islands. A mixture of uninhabited and populated islands, Grand Bahama vacation rentals serve as bases to bring you closer to nature. Grand Bahama resorts are only 55 miles from the Florida coastline. You will certainly feel like you got far away from it all though, when you stay at Bahamas resorts.

Grand Bahama Resorts for Spectacular Natural Beauty

Many activities in the area are based around the capital city of Freeport. From Grand Bahama resorts, activities such as diving, golf, duty-free shopping and dancing are within easy reach. Close to Bahamas resorts are miles of pristine beaches. Here you will find solitude and natural beauty. Independent travelers can explore the 60 miles of isolated beaches between Freeport and McLean’s Town at the eastern end of the island. There is no shortages of Grand Bahama vacation rentals on the pristine beaches of the area.

Bahamas Resorts Are Where Time Stands Still

While staying at Grand Bahama resorts, visit Bahamas National Trust Rand Nature Centre. It is just a short trip from Grand Bahama vacation rentals and there are over 100 native species of plants and orchids to see. It is also a great place to see hummingbirds and red tailed hawk. A highlight of any Bahamas resorts tour is a visit to Lucayan National Park where elevated walkways meander through mangrove swamps. Visitors may spot some rare marine species in the sheltered pools. The area also has the world's largest explored underwater cave system. Accessible by means of a boardwalk through the mangrove swamp is Gold Rock Beach, with its large sand dunes, white sand and coral reef. Find your inner pirate at the movie set of “Pirates of the Caribbean” where two ships still remain from the filming.

Grand Bahama Resorts Offer a Wealth of Activity

Grand Bahama vacation rentals offer more energetic pursuits and Bahamas resorts have plenty on offer. There are numerous scuba diving sites available, for both novice and advanced divers. For the experienced diver, there is Shark Junction a 45-foot dive where large reef sharks are common as well as stingrays and moray eels. Game fishing, parasailing, golf, horse riding, and snorkeling are also available while vacationing at Grand Bahama resorts.
