  • The Blue Dolphin is a MUST.

"We stayed at the Blue Dolphin this past Thanksgiving holiday week. We won our stay at the Blue Dolphin at a fundraising event. The house setting is serene and sublime. It is centrally located. It is at a walking distance from the pier, and 10 minuted walk to the beautiful pink sandy beach. It faces the west allowing us to enjoy gorgeous sun sets everyday of our stay. At night the neighborhood comes to life. We had a chance to wittness a couple of rehersal for the Junkanoo parade, joining them in dancing. The house is surrounded by grocery stores, Arthur-the best breakfast and bakery in town, several craft stores and restaurants. As for the house itself, well we fell in love with it. It is charming, welcoming, can easily accomodate 15 people, yet you can have your own privacy as there are 5 seperate master-bedrooms. We enjoyed having breakfast on the back porch overlooking the secluded, well maintained, attractive backyard. We enjoyed relaxing on the hammock, under the palm tree, sitting around the fire pit surrounded by a tropical lush greenery. The owners, Kathy and Jamie made sure that we are welcomed and well served. The house came with a wonderful house keeper, a friendly gardner/fisherman (who could supply you fish if interested), and a talented cook, who happened to own a restaurant nearby that served Bahamian food. As for the native people, they are extremely welcoming, friendly and happy to serve you- except for "grouchy Mr. Jonhson" from the golf cart rental shop. Do not worry, there are several other cart rental stores. Yes, most people travel using golf cart. We enjoyed everday of our stay. We went hicking along the southern shore, deep sea fishing, walked everyday the sandy beach. It was also the most relaxing, beautiful vacation ever. It is a piece of Heaven on earth. The day of our departure, a feeling of sadness took our hearts as we were not ready to go back to reality. We wished if we could stay longer. But deep inside we knew that we shall return. The Blue Dolpin is a MUST."

  • Perfect vacation house!!

"I recently spent two lovely weeks at Oleander in Dunmore Town on Harbour Island, and it was perfect! Within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the ocean, it is perfectly situated down a lovely side street. A very comfortable and charming house, with a well equipped kitchen and lots of wonderful outdoor spaces to choose from. The owners are wonderful, charming and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Oleander and certainly stay there again!!"

  • Spring Break 2015

"Yellow Bird was a wonderful house for our family. We have three college age children who had the back house while my husband and I had the main house. The new kitchen is amazing! There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the amazing weather. We spent time at the pool and resting on the bed in the pool cabana. The kids had friends over at night to sit by the pool and have cocktails at the pool bar. We could walk to the Piggly Wiggly and to Daddy D's and the bakery. Truly an amazing vacation spot. The house is convenient and charming. It was great to have a bathroom for every bedroom. We will return!"

  • the house at the corner of paradise and bliss

"My family and i stayed at the Royall Lyme for Thanksgiving 2014. We had never been to Harbor Island but my family has a tradition of going away for turkey day AND i was turning 40. So we decided that going to the island off the island off the island of Nassau was appropriate. Everything about the house and the island charmed our pants off. We were 6 total people including 2 young kids. The house and grounds were spectacular: lots of room; felt like our own little compound (cause it was), we had the pool heated and was a great post-beach option; not super-luxurious accommodations but felt very hutchinson island (which is all about understated luxury). There are wild roosters running around the island and the property which adds to the other worldliness of the place. All in all it felt like a fantastic fantasy island, where all the locals literally know all the other locals. 98% of people are super friendly. You will run into the stuck-up shop owner here and there (Blue Rooster) but that is quickly replaced with the charm you encounter everywhere else. And i have to say, I've never evert felt better, softer sand in my life. I stumbled upon this place online cause it was called the Nantucket of the Caribbean. And i heart Nantucket. They are both roll up your pant legs, get your feet sandy/dirty/wet. If you like the soul of nantucket vs the look at my yacht it's bigger than yours side of nantucket -then this is the island for you. It's a playground for people who live well but don't need to show off. Practical things to note: - the house is a stone's throw from where the water taxi drops you off. No need to take a cab when you get in. - Rock House takes itself way too seriously. Everywhere else was a better and more island-appropriate meal. - Sip Sip was fun and worth every penny. - Lunch at Coral Sands and Pink Sands was fun and fantastic - The island is $10 a gallon of organic milk and $30 lunch entree expensive - Low tide at the beach is God's gift to young kids. Perfect water. Perfect little bitty waves - Faye the housekeeper has a restaurant on friday-saturday that you should try - You can buy fish right off the dock when the guy comes back just before sunrise - Buy beer across the street from Queen Conch when sitting there to eat ($8 for 3 beers and 2 waters, best deal on the island)in the liquor store - From here you can walk to everything you'd want to walk to in town - no problem - you will want a cart though to get to the beach"
