  • Great family holiday home!

"Our family has just returned from an awesome week at Harbour Island. Thankfully we found and booked Sanderson House for our time away. It was the perfect combination of great price, convenient location close to the beach/town while allowing privacy, lots of space, private pool access and great amenities! Our kids ages 3, 5 and 8 had a blast! The house caters very well for family groups. It came complete with a cupboard stocked full of board games and puzzles, beach towels, beach toys, snorkel gear and access to laundry. There are plenty of bedrooms to spread everyone out, various tv areas and quiet corners. Access to the external washroom with shower was great for post swim or beach trips. The outside bar area was set up well with tv and music speaker hookup. Darico and Frisco took great care of us. They were available to answer all questions, provide local recommendations and always responded quickly to our requests. The housekeeper service was also a nice luxury while on holiday. For the adults we really enjoyed the daily 360 degree views from the widow's walk, the convenience of having private pool access, a great well equipped kitchen, wifi, free long distance calling and effective AC. Great trip and a great stay at Sanderson House!"

  • the house at the corner of paradise and bliss

"My family and i stayed at the Royall Lyme for Thanksgiving 2014. We had never been to Harbor Island but my family has a tradition of going away for turkey day AND i was turning 40. So we decided that going to the island off the island off the island of Nassau was appropriate. Everything about the house and the island charmed our pants off. We were 6 total people including 2 young kids. The house and grounds were spectacular: lots of room; felt like our own little compound (cause it was), we had the pool heated and was a great post-beach option; not super-luxurious accommodations but felt very hutchinson island (which is all about understated luxury). There are wild roosters running around the island and the property which adds to the other worldliness of the place. All in all it felt like a fantastic fantasy island, where all the locals literally know all the other locals. 98% of people are super friendly. You will run into the stuck-up shop owner here and there (Blue Rooster) but that is quickly replaced with the charm you encounter everywhere else. And i have to say, I've never evert felt better, softer sand in my life. I stumbled upon this place online cause it was called the Nantucket of the Caribbean. And i heart Nantucket. They are both roll up your pant legs, get your feet sandy/dirty/wet. If you like the soul of nantucket vs the look at my yacht it's bigger than yours side of nantucket -then this is the island for you. It's a playground for people who live well but don't need to show off. Practical things to note: - the house is a stone's throw from where the water taxi drops you off. No need to take a cab when you get in. - Rock House takes itself way too seriously. Everywhere else was a better and more island-appropriate meal. - Sip Sip was fun and worth every penny. - Lunch at Coral Sands and Pink Sands was fun and fantastic - The island is $10 a gallon of organic milk and $30 lunch entree expensive - Low tide at the beach is God's gift to young kids. Perfect water. Perfect little bitty waves - Faye the housekeeper has a restaurant on friday-saturday that you should try - You can buy fish right off the dock when the guy comes back just before sunrise - Buy beer across the street from Queen Conch when sitting there to eat ($8 for 3 beers and 2 waters, best deal on the island)in the liquor store - From here you can walk to everything you'd want to walk to in town - no problem - you will want a cart though to get to the beach"

  • Amazing place to stay!

"My sister and I spent a week at Chef Neff's Getaway in early May and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The apartment is clean, comfortable and nicely decorate with a perfect little patio outside the front door. My sister and I had breakfast out there every morning while watching the roosters roam around and enjoying the beautiful and well kept garden. The beach is breathtaking and just a five minute walk away (if that). As a bonus, two beach chairs come with the rental. Susan is a wonderful host and very helpful and organized. As a professional chef she was able to point us in the direction of the best places to eat on the island and even had a typed up list of recommendations printed out and waiting for us when we arrived along with a map of the island. When we told her we wanted to spend a day driving around Eleuthera she arranged for a rental car for us and gave us a printed out day trip guide with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. Scuba diving? Susan arranged that for us too! We got an amazing private tour from one of the locals of sea turtles, sting rays, sandy beaches and, of course, snorkeling among the reefs. Lastly, if you're a cat lover, Susan has two beautiful and extremely friendly felines named Simba and Sarabi. If my sister and I make it back the island (and we really hope we'll be able to soon!) we know exactly where we'll be staying."

  • Briland Bliss

"Six of us stayed at Seabreeze with a 10 month old baby and it was perfect. Having easy access to a kitchen was a godsend with a young baby and I would recommend to anyone with young children. We have been coming to HI for the last 5 years but this is the first time in a rented house rather than a hotel and we loved the option of being able to eat in and the privacy of having our own pool. The house is perfect and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. The sunsets are spectacular from the bayside and we watched the sun going down every evening with a Goombay Smash to hand ! We would recommend Seabreeze without hesitation and look forward to our next visit."
