Great stay with baby
"My husband, 11 month old baby and I spent 8 days at Cedar Pine Villa in Mar/Apr 2015. This was our first time renting a private vacation home and for that reason we initially felt cautious (especially paying in full prior to arrival). However, the reviews were great and our communication with Elrena by phone and email was extremely prompt and professional. I'm so glad we trusted our instincts because we could not have had a better vacation. Everything was exactly as advertised and described by previous reviewers. The apartment was extremely clean, spacious, and looked better than the pictures. It is well stocked with everything we needed, including a high chair, playpen with change station and a car seat. The taxi company Elrena and Raphael recommend also have a car seat. In terms of location, we found it very convenient and a nice retreat after a day out. It is a 5-7 min walk to the bus stop, 3-4 min walk to the grocery store/Wendy's/Marco's Pizza (excellent pizza!), and near a plaza that has other stores/restaurants, including a Starbucks. In terms of beach access, there are a couple access points to Cable Beach off side streets beside Sandals (10-15 min walk) and the Melia resort (20 min walk or bus ride). There is also a beach near Sandyport (15 min walk in other direction). We also loved having the pool to enjoy while our daughter napped. It truly was a home away from home. Elrena and Raphael could not have been better hosts. They were available when we needed them, but we also felt we had a lot of privacy. If you are looking to stay in Nassau, this is the place to be!"

"Words can't describe the joy that this place brought to myself, my wife and the other couple that traveled with us. We had read so many great reviews about Barbara the property manager. We were disheartened to find that she would be on vacation the week of our trip. She assured us that her assistant Louise would take good care of us and she was correct! She promptly met us at the airport, drove us around to get a feel for local shops, beaches etc. We had a couple of irrelevant things that we needed at the house and she quickly showed up to assist us. We also met an amazing taxi driver known to the locals As Dr willy. He hangs out at the poop deck often and was the best driver ever. He was very honost with his prices. He gave us a ton of information about the island and had a story for everything. So glad we met him! As far as the property itself goes, words truly cannot do this place justice. The house is in top shape. The decore gives one the feeling of being at sea and there are plenty of ammenities for any needs that one might have. The back deck was my favorite part of the house. We layed out and used the grill almost nightly. The water is so beautiful and the breeze along with the houses location gives a sense of tranquility that I've never before experienced. My wife and I celebrated our 6th anniversary here and I sincerely hope that we are fortunate enough to return in the near future. Thank you Roger for sharing this piece of paradise with us. And a big thanks to Louise for being so hospitable."

"The photographs do not do this place justice. The ocean views are just spectacular and condo is clean and well maintained. Spent much of the time snorkeling on the reefs behind the condo. We also enjoyed using the bbq and watching the sunset on the back patio. The property manager was amazing. After we asked him where we could buy snorkels, he returned with snorkels that he had purchased for us. The condo is surrounded by several great restaurants. We enjoyed The Studio restaurant (a small gourmet restaurant in the historic Compass Point Studios) and Aqua Grill both located right across the street. The conch salad stand is nearby too-the salad is delicious but takes long to prepare. We spent a lot of time researching oceanfront condos on the island that were affordable. Happy to have found this treasure off the beaten tourist path."

"My family and I stayed at this lovely property from July 30th-August 6th, 2015 and it was absolutely wonderful. The photos online truly capture the exquisiteness of this rental property: stunning lacquered hardwood floor and ceiling, a spacious kitchen with adequate utensils that allowed us to cook full meals, and well decorated dining and living rooms on the first level. Upstairs is a huge master bedroom, plus two other spacious bedrooms with queen and double twin beds. The entire house was very clean! And if you’re not yet sold, here’s the kicker: there were souvenirs on every bed for the taking.
The house is located in a quiet, upscale residential neighborhood, with the beach just five minutes away. Others have complained about dogs barking at nights and disturbing their rest, but we heard no dogs, and we not have noticed anyway because we were busy soaking up the awesomeness of this locale. This property is at the farthest eastern end of the island, but don’t let this point on the map discourage you, for the island is only about 21 miles in length - east to west. Everything is within a 5-10 minutes drive (supermarkets, pharmacies, fast food, hospital/clinic, etc.).
Internet at the house allowed me to communicate back home via Skype and WhatsApp, which was very useful. Bryan was also gracious in allowing us to host a small gathering at the house to celebrate my uncle’s 60th birthday (that in itself speaks volumes).
You definitely need a rental if you’re going to stay here, for there is no “reliable” bus service from this end. I would recommend renting from one of the US-based rental car companies—they are so much cheaper than the local ones. Once you get your rental from the airport, take the northern coast for a scenic route to the house – it took me 25 minutes (a straight drive once on the coast…awesome!!).
Bryan, thanks for a lovely stay and for your generosity outside of the confines of our rental contract, and for allowing me to raid one of your coconut trees out back and rid it of about 20 water coconuts (that’s an $80 value in Nassau). Climbing that coconut tree took me back to my childhood days in the countryside of Guyana.
We’ll be back!
Thanks again from the Pluck family."
