"My husband and I took our son, daughter in law and their 3 and 19months old boys on an annual getaway. This place was perfect for us. The kids stayed in the pool most of the time. The villa was very clean. You have to have a car if you plan to go out anywhere. We hired Chef Sweeting to prepare most dinners and he was awesome! He bought many supplies we needed when we arrived. We were there during Hurricane Jocquin and it didn't even get close to Nassau!"

"My family and I stayed at this lovely property from July 30th-August 6th, 2015 and it was absolutely wonderful. The photos online truly capture the exquisiteness of this rental property: stunning lacquered hardwood floor and ceiling, a spacious kitchen with adequate utensils that allowed us to cook full meals, and well decorated dining and living rooms on the first level. Upstairs is a huge master bedroom, plus two other spacious bedrooms with queen and double twin beds. The entire house was very clean! And if you’re not yet sold, here’s the kicker: there were souvenirs on every bed for the taking.
The house is located in a quiet, upscale residential neighborhood, with the beach just five minutes away. Others have complained about dogs barking at nights and disturbing their rest, but we heard no dogs, and we not have noticed anyway because we were busy soaking up the awesomeness of this locale. This property is at the farthest eastern end of the island, but don’t let this point on the map discourage you, for the island is only about 21 miles in length - east to west. Everything is within a 5-10 minutes drive (supermarkets, pharmacies, fast food, hospital/clinic, etc.).
Internet at the house allowed me to communicate back home via Skype and WhatsApp, which was very useful. Bryan was also gracious in allowing us to host a small gathering at the house to celebrate my uncle’s 60th birthday (that in itself speaks volumes).
You definitely need a rental if you’re going to stay here, for there is no “reliable” bus service from this end. I would recommend renting from one of the US-based rental car companies—they are so much cheaper than the local ones. Once you get your rental from the airport, take the northern coast for a scenic route to the house – it took me 25 minutes (a straight drive once on the coast…awesome!!).
Bryan, thanks for a lovely stay and for your generosity outside of the confines of our rental contract, and for allowing me to raid one of your coconut trees out back and rid it of about 20 water coconuts (that’s an $80 value in Nassau). Climbing that coconut tree took me back to my childhood days in the countryside of Guyana.
We’ll be back!
Thanks again from the Pluck family."

"My husband and I stayed with Christina and Leonard for our honeymoon 10/12-10/17. When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of wine and a tour of the property. Leonard has turned the property into a tropical sanctuary, completely fenced in and very secure. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and using the pool. The apartment was clean and cute, just like the pictures show. The only bed and bathroom are upstairs. Amenities included WI-fi, satellite TV, iron, umbrellas for rainy days and plenty of kitty cats, lizards and birds to look at. The cottage was air conditioned on both floors and very comfortable. The kitchen was large enough for us to cook many meals. Leonard took us to the grocery store and we were able to buy a lot of the same brands of food we get here in the states. But we warned... Everything we purchased was 3x's what we pay at home. This is no fault of our hosts nor has it anything to do with the cottage but I thought I would share that with future travelers. If you think you will save money by cooking and eating in, that might not be the case. A gallon of milk was $12. Anyway, the kitchen had utensils, pots, pans, etc. Christina also went and picked up a few things for us so our mini fridge wouldn't be empty when we got there. They also provided us beer, wine, rum and vodka. If you are considering staying here as sightseer, this is a good location. You are close enough to the action downtown but far enough that if you don't want to have anything to do with it, you'll never know it's there. If you plan to ride the Jitney (public bus transportation) use bus 19. It travels south on Village Road about every 10 minutes. It will take you around a lot of residential neighborhoods but then circle back to the downtown area. Straw Market and Junkanoo beach are two of the places we frequented most. We also caught bus 10 out towards Cable Beach, but there are many good beaches before you get that far out. Plus Cable Beach is mostly for the hotels. Christine and Leonard we very nice people and we felt 100% safe staying with them. The listing says it sleeps two but there were 2 large cushioned benches on the 1st floor that a small child could probably sleep on. I would recommend this property."

"This was the 4th consecutive year my husband and I have rented this spacious, comfortable villa for at least 2 weeks in late February (so we have obviously always enjoyed it), but this year, we were delighted to discover that the owners had completely renovated the kitchen, up-dated the bathrooms, and re-painted...so the place is nicer than ever (not "luxurious," but fresh and bright). AND it's impossible to exaggerate the convenience of having a washer/dryer in the unit! We love Viola's (the friendly on-site bar/grill) and Anthony's (a restaurant within walking distance which offers the best black bean soup in the world), and my husband, who likes to play a little blackjack on vacation, loves the short walk to the Atlantis casino. (We always rent a car so we can "cross the bridge" for groceries and the occasional fancy restaurant meal...try Graycliff, Luciano's and Matisse...but not necessary to have a car, especially for a short stay when it's not necessary to stock a lot of groceries, as one can easily get a taxi.) I should add that the owners are also a pleasure to deal with. The ONLY negative has nothing to do with the villa itself, but the pool in the complex...it's pretty and sparkling clean, but it's unheated...so it's FRIGID (at least in February...may be fine later in the year)."
