  • It doesn't get any better than this!

"Just got back from a week at this beautiful home. We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children under two. It was absolutely perfect in every way. It was the first time we have ever rented a home with a pool and now it will be a must! If we weren't in the boat, we were in the pool. The view was unbeatable. We have been to Elbow Cay several times and it is a great, relaxing island - and also the friendliest I have been to. If you are an architect and into wood, you will also totally appreciate this home (as my husband did)!"

  • Quiet island time

"We just returned from a one week stay at Gumbo Limbo and had a very relaxing time there. The house is excellent quality with a real beachy feel from the decor to the views of ocean on both sides. The screened in porch is excellent and we ate all our meals out there as well as many card games. The no-see-ums will still get you at some point though. The house has lovely breezes so we only needed the fans on our last day. The community dock being nearby did mean some golf carts and people traipsing past but apart from that we rarely saw anyone at the semi private beach. The snorkelling was ok there, having snorkelled around the world it was acceptable. My husband saw a large manta ray and we saw a reef shark. There is fan coral and someone else saw a turtle. Most days it was a little windy on that side and some choppiness to the ocean but what amazing aqua water. You will need to rent a golf cart, I think that its not an option. I walked once from the beach but it wasn't possible to go right along the beach so it is a bit of a long walk. The track on the house side of the island degrades after the Orchid development into a very rough bumpy track. Being 22 weeks pregnant I often had to hop off and walk. So I'd be aware of this if you have problems with riding a bumpy track. Of course we sometimes didn't go into the town and enjoyed chilling out at the house. The garden is very nicely done and there are lots of great books to read as well as internet, radio, tv, dvds. The island does not have a huge array of dining options. We did dine at Nippers but felt Grabbers was better for a bit more Caribbean flare. We brought some groceries across on the ferry but did run low so went to the grocery store on the island which had just as much or little! You can get creative with a box of brownie mix, there's an oven, or make your own cocktails, there's a blender. There are quite a few feral cats on the island. There were three that hung around the house. Hope you like cats. Our little boy enjoyed giving them a few tidbits. We had quite the journey to get home due to lining up ferry, flights and customs. I'd allow a good amount of time between any connecting flights and make sure you know the ferry times, we had to wait around a bit for the last ferry but its right at Curly Tails so you can enjoy a drink and some conch fritters while waiting. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday and it was what we wanted, quiet, beach and warm weather."

  • Total escape!

"We enjoyed a great week at the Backroads villa. The views are spectacular. The privacy is fantastic and the water is much clearer and bluer than the photos represent. The house much bigger than we actually needed. The tennis court was in great shape and we enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table. The no-seeums were a bit annoying and we did everything we could to not open doors or turn on lights from sunset on and still we had alot of bites every morning. The harbour is filled with sea turtles and spotted eagle rays and Lionel is a great fishing and snorkeling captain. We would recommend this to people looking for a quiet peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of life."

  • A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!

"This was our first experience in the Bahamas. As a large group of people mixed with single couples, and small families, we were concerned about choosing an all-inclusive which is why we searched for a rental property. We were excited to find a property that offered the amenities that Stargaze did. This place met the variety of needs of our entire group. The bedrooms were spacious and the layout was very conducive to the mixed group. The eating area accommodated the group well enough, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed and large enough to have 'many cooks' do their work. The bathrooms were clean and functional. However, the water pressure was weak even when only running one of the showers at a time. There were many common areas to relax, both inside and outside of the villa. The family room was cozy and provided enough room for our entire party to plan our day's events. Overall, the place was very clean and cozy, and we would definitely return! The air conditioning system worked fabulously, and the fans helped to circulate the air. We wish the laundry worked a little better (could never get through a full load of laundry). We were told that the machines were too full, but even with a VERY small load, the machines weren't cooperating. This was only a problem, because we wanted to wash towels after a day by the pool. However, there were more than enough towels provided to not make this an issue. The property managers Patrice and Angie were amazing! There were always available and answered any of our questions or concerns quickly. There was a huge rainstorm the first night we were there and a newly upgraded tile floor on the rooftop patio was leaking. A repairman was there that night, and returned the next morning to fix the issue. It never bothered us to begin with, but this showed the care the property was under. We never had any issues with this again. The pool was clean and functional, and there were nice chairs provided (8). The location was close to a very good conch stand, and a bus stop to get into town. It was a short walk from the property to both. There is careful attention to safety which was a little scary - almost overdone - but at least careful measures were taken to ensure we never had any issues. However, our entire group found the property and the people to be unbelievably friendly, and never felt unsafe. We hope to find ourselves at Stargaze in the future!"

Bahamas Travel Tips

Access the Caribbean with a Stay at Bahamas Resorts

Visiting the Bahamas can be an exhilarating experience for the entire family as well as a newly married couple. With plenty of beaches and local culture to absorb, Bahamas resorts allow you to experience the hospitality and talent of the islands’ residents too.

Water Adventures near Bahamas Resorts

Among the 23 inhabited islands of the Bahamas, there are several choices in Bahamas beach rentals for the water-lovers in your family. Parasailing, swimming, sunbathing, diving and snorkeling are all popular activities on the islands once known to be inhabited by pirates. Search for your ideal choice in Bahamas vacation rentals for either a beachfront location or one found near the local nightlife and markets.

Experience a Sunset You Won’t Forget in Bahamas Beach Rentals

If you are lucky enough to have a view of the horizon and watch the sunset each evening from any of the Bahamas resorts, you’ll first be astounded at the beauty that the local residents have access to on a daily basis. You may also be lucky enough to capture a glimpse of a “green flash,” experienced when the sun sets over the blue-green Caribbean waters seen from your Bahamas beach rentals. Some visitors to Bahamas vacation rentals will seek out oceanfront dining in order to hunt for the ideal view to catch this flash during their stay.

Reserve Bahamas Vacation Rentals for Modern Luxuries in Caribbean Beauty

Bahamas resorts always offer you spa and salon services such as massages and facials, but the islands also tout several other activities the entire family can partake in. Take a stroll down the main streets of your island to find local artwork and souvenirs to tote back to your Bahamas beach rentals. Many Bahamas vacation rentals are also located near gaming venues, fine dining and even local golf courses to accommodate your every whim.
