  • Perfect Get Away

"The house is exactly what one would envision of a true beach house. It resonates character throughout and you can feel it in the hand built strength of the house as you walk through the driftwood trimmed door ways and bead board walls. Appropriately decorated in hand tooled tables with sand filled items from the sea, comfortable chairs, and beds for many visitors, the house establishes a personal connection immediately. There is even an indoor tree swing under the sail nets on the second floor which my niece loved. The house sits directly on the beach as the large back deck and spacious yard provide views of the emerald and blue ocean that are outstanding as you view them through the mature Palm trees which are scattered throughout. My favorite spot was the hammock after lunch! The house is right on the water and it is just so convenient for taking full advantage of the beach and the water. We were unsure as to how our three year old would be acceptable to the beach but by the second day we had trouble getting him out of the water. He loved the afternoon walks out on an exposed sandbar at low tide just a short distance from the house. He even found a perfect sand dollar to start a collection of his own. Everyone we met has been so accommodating and nice...we definitely want to return!!"

  • Absolutely Wonderful

"We have been going to Nassau every year for almost 30 years and stayed most everywhere on the island including Cable Beach, South Ocean and Paradise Island. We just returned July 22. We have stayed st Delaporte Point for the past eight years. What the owner has done to this townhouse is outstanding. This year's experience there tops anything that we have experienced in Nassau. The renovations to the house have an inspiring theme that speak to the life style in the Bahamas. It is a wonderful house to have for a vacation and to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Most days the water is smooth and the water color is awesome. There are ample and comfortable accommodations for all you need on a vacation; nicely equipped kitchen, large patio, comfortable beds, large living room area. From the patio you can see Cable Beach and Atlantis and cruise ships arriving and leaving the island. If you are patient enough you might see the several turtles that hang out near by in the ocean. We always go to Nesbits bar and restaurant for dinner at least four or five times. It is where the locals frequent. It is about 1/4 miles west. The food is reasonable and very good, that is why the locals go there. The Poop Deck is just outside of the area on the beach in walking distance and they have great food. We have the Poop Deck set up a table and umbrella for us on the beach and they will serve you food and drinks during the day right outside of the restaurant. At least once during our stay we go to Compass Point for snacks and drinks at sunset. It is about a mile west of Delaporte. They have great food and ocean side views that are worth seeing."

  • Great location for a beautful secluded beach, snorkeling and diving.

"There is a beautiful reef for snorkeling just off the beach. The beach is very nice and very private. Also, just a short walk down the beach is Nippers, which is probably the most popular bar and grill on the island. Guana Cay only has a few restaurants and one grocery store, so do some grocery shopping in Marsh Harbor before catching the ferry to Guana Cay. You can also order groceries with the ferry company for a 25% fee. This is worth it based on the cost of food on Guana Cay. Beachwatch has a full kitchen and gas grill for cooking. You can also rent your own boat and go island hopping, but just be careful of shallow waters and reefs. We bent our boats rudder when we hit a shallow reef. I highly recommend Dive Guana on the island for dive trips, boat rentals, and golf cart rentals."
