  • Well worth the trip to Andros!

"Our family had an excellent time in one of Trevor's beach cottages. We spent 7 days on Andros and were well looked after by Trevor, Princess and Mario. The kitchen and laundry were great and we were happy with our beach front cottage, merely steps from the beautiful water. Cell phone and TV worked great! Snorkeling from the cottage was fine, not coral, but we did see fish, especially at low tide. Things close on Sunday's so make sure you have food and water. The National Park is a short drive from here and you can access two in-land Blue Holes with walkways. Make sure to stop by the Park headquarter at Fresh Creek during the week, the people who work there are wonderful and can point you in the right direction for birding as well. Rainbow Blue Hole is up the road a little way from the cottage by bike or car. It's a short walk in but make sure to wear good walking shoes as the coral path is rough and there is a lot of poison wood around. The Blue Hole is beautiful and worth a swim. If you have a car visit North Andros for the cliff, caves and most importantly, the ocean blue hole at the end of Conch Sound Road in Nicholls Town. We only found out about this after talking to a local restaurant owner. You drive to the end of the road, turn left along the water and park at the end. You walk from the shore about 20 feet at low tide. You can see the blue hole from the beach. Snorkeling around the hole was awesome, the current coming out of the hole is strong, you can see great fish! Try and go at low tide, a must visit spot. Just up from the cottage is the Taste and See Restaurant owned by Cinderella, who is a great cook. Call ahead as the schedule varies. This is a great spot. Snorkel trips by boat from Small Hope Bay Resort just south of Davies Creek. The prices as reasonably for a 2 hour trip. We heard that the lunch is good and worth the $18 per person, though we did not go. The neighbors by the cottages are really great. The neighborhood dogs are sweet and part of the rustic charm. Our son lined-fished from the Fresh Creek dock and caught us dinner one night. We talked to everyone around town, people are really nice and we got the best information that way. Conch salad from the yellow shack near the traffic circle in FC was great, so if they are open, stop by. I found out about it from someone living on a sailboat who works at the US Navy Base. We took the Ferry from Nassau, it was a great trip in and I would recommend it. I did take Dramamine."

  • Great for a family of four

"We stayed at the Harborside property after previously staying twice at the Royal Towers. It was terrific for our family. We loved that we could eat breakfast in the room most days and bring some lunches (it made us feel less guilty when we then pigged out at night and also saved us the outrageous food costs). Dealing with the renter of this property was a fantastic experience--so easy, responsive and reasonable. There are some things in the room that could use updating but everything is clean and given that we had two tvs, a fridge and an oven for less than we would pay to be all cramped in one room, we can't complain! We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Atlantis."

  • Perfect Get Away

"The house is exactly what one would envision of a true beach house. It resonates character throughout and you can feel it in the hand built strength of the house as you walk through the driftwood trimmed door ways and bead board walls. Appropriately decorated in hand tooled tables with sand filled items from the sea, comfortable chairs, and beds for many visitors, the house establishes a personal connection immediately. There is even an indoor tree swing under the sail nets on the second floor which my niece loved. The house sits directly on the beach as the large back deck and spacious yard provide views of the emerald and blue ocean that are outstanding as you view them through the mature Palm trees which are scattered throughout. My favorite spot was the hammock after lunch! The house is right on the water and it is just so convenient for taking full advantage of the beach and the water. We were unsure as to how our three year old would be acceptable to the beach but by the second day we had trouble getting him out of the water. He loved the afternoon walks out on an exposed sandbar at low tide just a short distance from the house. He even found a perfect sand dollar to start a collection of his own. Everyone we met has been so accommodating and nice...we definitely want to return!!"

  • Great experience and Location

"This was our second stay in Exuma and by far our favorite visit so far. On our first stay in July 2014 we stayed at the Sandals resort and realized after venturing into Georgetown and renting a boat for the day that we were missing most of what this beautiful island had to offer. When searching for a rental for our stay in October we did a lot of research on where to stay to be in an optimal location for all that Georgetown and Stocking island has to offer. Paradise Palm was in the perfect location and the Villa was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for the stay. This was my first time booking a vacation rental directly from the owner so I was overwhelmed at first but the owners were quick to reply to my many questions, and made the process very easy. There are many options for dining and night life within a short walking distance from the villa which came in handy the nights that we were too tired to cook for ourselves. If cooking is your thing the villa included everything we needed to make several meals and snacks. Bottom line: -The location is great for getting to Georgetown and stocking island quickly. -The owners of the villa and the staff onsite are all very friendly and accommodating -You can keep your boat rental from Minns right outside your -Exuma is very safe no need to worry about staying in resort areas to feel safe. We hitchhiked back from town one day and would never even consider doing that on any other islands we have been to or even in the USA -Jolly Holly beach is a short walk away. The villas also have a very nice pool area as well as paddle boards and kayaks -Villa is clean and very nice -Better than Sandals! We will be staying at Paradise Palm again"
