"We stayed at Coconut Beach house 351226 for a week in the middle of October 2014. We could not be happier with the experience we had. The house has all the amenities needed to enjoy your vacation whether you want adventure, relaxation, or both! Kitchen is fully outfitted with appliances, cookware, utensils etc. Bedrooms stocked with linens and bathrooms with tons of towels. There is also washer/dryer utility room! We were also provided with two bicycles to ride around the island. Air conditioning in the bedrooms kept us cool during the nights. House opens on a porch leading to a conch-lined path ending on a white sand beach! A hammock awaits you in the beautiful coconut grove along the path! We arrived by our own boat and were able to anchor it right in front of the house. The arrangements/payments were simple and smooth. The caretaker of the house was so accommodating and supplied us with anything we needed on a daily basis. The neighbors near the property are so friendly and make you feel like family during your stay. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend the annual Conch Festival where we met many local Bahamians who included us in the festivities and made us feel at home. The local scuba diving is astoundingly beautiful. We dove on several lovely reefs and in a blue hole! The fishing is also amazing...bonefish, tuna, grouper, hogfish, and lobster were some of the meals we enjoyed. This was one of the best trips we have taken and we plan on returning to this beautiful location again!"

  • A wonderful place to stay!

"The Dolphin House is a wonderful place to stay. We agree with all of the other reviews, so will only add a few other observations. The house was spotless when we arrived and we later came to appreciate all of the hard work that goes into keeping the Dolphin House pristine. On our last day, Lisa, one of the ladies that works along with Brenda Stubbs, the caretaker, arrived a little before we left to get a jump start on cleaning the veranda. She actually took the gas grill apart and cleaned it, wiped down each chair and table, cleaned the windows and swept and mopped the deck. It was spotless and that was just the outside! Another groundskeeper was out front weeding, cleaning up leaves, pruning bushes, etc. This house is WELL taken care of! We really feel that we picked the best house on the island for both location and comfort. The other thing that really stood out to us were the people on the island. They are the most humble and kind people that you will ever meet. We would see or meet someone one time and the next time they saw us, it was as if we were old friends. It was a priceless experience and I'm so glad that my kids got to experience this too. Roger and Margie are wonderful people to deal with, very helpful and accommodating. The house is well-stocked. It has everything that you could possible think of .......and well labelled! We could go on, but don't want to repeat what other reviewers have already said. We highly recommend this house and hope to be able to stay here again."

  • Lovely house just by the beach on the Atlantic side

"Arriving at Eleuthera was a great experience itself - just a small house which welcomed us. the House keeper John had arranged with a car, which was waiting for us outside the small airport. It took us about 1,5 hour to drive to the house which is situated about 15-20 min drive from Governors harbor. You def. need a car to get there. The house was situated up on the top of the beach, so no worries for the waves to hit the house. Beautiful beach with a few houses. The house itself had very comfortable beds, had pretty much everything you needed to cook. The only con was that the wifi wasn't stable, with all the power cuts that's seems to be going on in Eleuthera. Even though they don't last very long. The house provided us with towels, bed linen, snorkel equipment, canoes (even though it was to choppy for us to go out with small children). Ten bay beach is situated on the other side of the highway and was just the best! So many beautiful beaches on the island - breathtaking! I highly recommend this island if you need some peace, and why not stay at Bahamas Castaway at the same time!"

  • Once Again Awesome!!!

"Ok I told everyone on my last review I would be back until 2016. Well I couldn't resist so we came back a year earlier. I can only say again what a true gem this place is. The owner Henry really makes it easy for his guests to truly unwind. His staff Santos and Marcos make everything so easy. The dining is wonderful at all 3 restaurants and the sites from all angles of this cozy villa are amazing. It is so wonderful I will be back in 8 long weeks to enjoy our third trip in one year. If you are truly looking for a quiet place to relax and get away from the stress call Henry and make the arrangements. One thing to know cash is a must but they do except credit cards. No American Express. Also you might want to have some groceries waiting for you if you can't pick some up in Nassau. Otherwise enjoy the trip. Don't forget to see Plain Bay while at the island. It will take your breath away. Thanks again Henry for the greatest memories. Perry's"
