  • A perfect hideaway with a fantastic view!

"We are from Germany and stayed at Bahamavilla in august 2014 (2 adults + a 7-year-old girl). The house is very nice, the view is really fantastic! The Caribbean Sea beginns just right in front of the beautiful terrace, you are surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants. The nearby beach "Ten bay beach" also is great for swimming and shelling. The house has a large open-air-terrace, 1 livingroom and 2 bedrooms. Furniture is o. k. and in good shape, the beds are great. Nothing is dirty or smells bad. The house is very clean. The kitchen furniture and the kitchen stuff are a little bit old and tacky but they work. The bathroom is o. k., washbasin + toilet are nearly new, the bathtub and the wall tiles are old, bathtub-faucet is rusty, but this is really no problem at all. The telephone line was broken during our complete stay, so we had no internet and always had to go to a public internet facility at Governor's Harbour which is 10 miles away. Our resumé: if you are coming from Florida or the East Coast of the U. S., Bahamavilla is perfect. You have a real "Robinson-feeling" (even without internet ...), Eleuthera is a nice destination. But coming the long way from Europe (as we were), paying US 1.700 per person for the 10-hours-flight, you better go to Floridas West Coast, the Maldives or a 4/5-star-resort in Asia where you have more comfort and cleanness of the island. Eleuthera is a great place with wonderful beaches, the people are very friendly, we never felt insecure. Food shopping, dining, rental cars (these are often very old + rotten, but cost 70 dollar per day), gasoline and all other items are double the price than in the U. S. We had very relaxing holidays on Eleuthera, if you want real recreation you will find it there. Don't forget to go to the "fish fry" at Governor's Harbour each friday evening. Thanks to Emmy for always answering me so quickly, you have a wonderful house."

  • Paradise

"The villa is very comfortable. The ocean villas are filled with friendly people. The managers and mike in the office are very helpful. The beach is perfect in every way. The restaurants are fun and authentic. Try the pancakes at coco bar on the beach; pizza at the tipsy; cracked lobster at chris the burners. We loved where we stayed. It has a wood deck on the beach where people gather at sunset or anytime. The villa was very quiet and private. The owners have many interesting decorating touches in the villa. The villa is centrally located for groceries, restaurants, etc."

  • Best Trip Ever

"Absolutely Wonderful! Is what we have to say about Barry and Diane. The minute we got there, they made us feel so comfortable in their home; we could not find better hosts like Barry and Diane. Their garden is beautiful with all kind of fruit trees, we were totally enjoy the fresh coconut water, it was so sweet and flavorful. The property is truly PARADISE, you could not beat the view in the morning; the water was so calm and warm, I really miss the early morning swim, just imagine, you have the biggest swimming pool in the world next to your bedroom... The balcony on the second floor was a bonus, we saw all kind of fish from the top view and the morning sunrise was absolute beautiful... The bedrooms (2) are spacious, the kitchen has everything to prepare nice homemade dinners, the living room is comfortable, but why would you want to stay inside when you can hang around the balcony to enjoy the best view and the beautiful weather! The fish market is less than 10 minutes away, we stopped by the fish market every day to buy some fresh catch for dinners, the bonus was, we did not have to clean them, paid a few dollars and they were ready to go. If you plan a trip to Caribbean, I highly recommend "Paradise Found", it will be the most memorable trip you've ever had. We have already talked about our next trip at "Paradise Found" for next year. Thanks again Barry and Diane..."

  • Evans Treasure Island FL

"Catch-a-Wave was an awesome house to celebrate Thanksgiving and my husbands birthday. We had one other couple who had a teenager - so the layout was perfect for 2 families! The house was decorated with great style and really had the island feel. We have been going to the Elbow Cay since 1988 and this house is our new favorite place to stay!"
