  • Wonderful owner

"I would like to share a wonderful experience I have had with Dave, the owner of Indigo Seas. I contacted Dave to ask questions about his property. He sincerely wanted to ensure his property met the needs of our little group, and was very honest about not being sure it would be big enough for us. He took the time to share with me a lot of very useful information about Rainbow Bay and the island. That was certainly greatly appreciated, and will help us plan our stay in Eleuthera. Dave was extremely generous and genuinely wanted us to have a great time in the Bahamas. His property did not meet the needs of our group, but otherwise, we would have stayed there for sure, feeling confident that this is a great spot with a very kind and honest owner who wishes his guests a great stay."

  • Incredible Stay

"The house was absolutely perfect - better than described. The views and constant breeze are wonderful. James was really nice - brought us some really good (and interesting) fruits. We would have been happy to stay on the porch all week. We had four kids (two teenagers) and they all had a blast. We didn't spend much time at Divi (the resort / casino) but it is very nice - just not our thing. The folks there are really nice and helpful though - be sure to go to the gift shop. The lady there has lived on the island 20 or so years and had tons of maps, good advice, etc.. The restaurant at the resort is very good but expensive - plan on that one night. The beach at Divi is nice - just right across the street, but we tried a different beach every day. You really have to rent a car to see the island. Go ahead and have a rental waiting at the airport. I was really stressed about that but it's really easy (same as everywhere else). The driving takes a little getting used to but not big deal (opposite side but cars are same as US). The island, as small as it is, has three distinct climates (rainforest, grassland / interior, and desert). That was really neat - the distinct character of each "region". All the beaches are really cool and have their own character. We spent the most time at Cane Bay - absolutely beautiful (snorkeled, scuba, and just hung out). Cane Bay is near the rain forest - had a couple of short torrential down pours that we actually enjoyed. Be prepared - a storm can move in quickly and disappear just as quickly but it's refreshing. The folks at the dive shop were really nice and helpful. Shoy beach was our favorite - great snorkeling and swimming is incredible. Point Udall was cool. Need to spend a day in Christiansted in the shops and there are some good resturants along the docks. The beaches at Frederiksted were nice, but didn't really like the vibe there - not terrible, just not our favorite. Need to go the Cruzan distillery - stop by the hospitality bar and hang out and get a couple of six packs to go. For a couple of bucks they will pack up to six bottles in a cardboard container wrapped in bubble wrap / sealed, etc. and check it at the airport for free. Think you can have one per person so brought back a bunch. The cheapest rum you'll ever find. You have to try La Reine's Chicken Shack - music and great island food - cool little town. We will definitely be back. Loved it and didn't want to come home."
