  • We'd like to thank you once again!

"Dear Edward, (c/o Maya's Bajan Villas) It seems 2 by 2 we all arrived home safely. Thanks again for all of your help. The Villa was everything we could ask for and more. Plenty of room, plenty of towels, plenty of dishes and comfortable beds for everyone. No air conditioning was never an issue, in fact it was welcomed to have free flowing air and fans to circulate the air quite comfortably. The design of the villa is superb for air flow! Although this was a newer area for us to stay in, we found our way around very easily. Shopping, beaches, restaurants and the supermarket all nearby. ZR busses took us to many other favourite places. With social media, I'm sure we've peaked the interest in your Villa to many of our friends. Johnathan and Sonia were very helpful and only a phone call away if we needed them. Since I love to take pictures and you love Barbados as much as we do, I'd like to attach my most favourite picture of our vacation. Sunset at Rockley Beach. Wishing you many happy returns to Barbados and to your beautiful Bajan Villa! Very Kind regards, Manuela and Steve"

  • Oasis!

"This was my first time staying at this property, however, I have been to other properties on the island and this by far was the BEST! The property is serene and not in a 'touristy' part of the island. It is mostly populated by locals who are friendly, helpful and excited to meet you. The beach is gorgeous (Miami Beach), which is a short ways from this beautiful place and the atmosphere is like no other. There are no vendors walking the beach so you can focus on your relaxation. There are lots of things to do around the beach and great places to eat, such as grannies (try the pudding and souse) Service is another area of excellence, the owner Mr. Chase along with Rico and Audrey are amazing. Booking was a breeze, Mr. Chase stayed in contact and filled me in on what to expect, local attractions, and his reassurance that everything would be beautiful. Boy, did he deliver! My arrival was effortless and the transition into being an honorary local was great. Rico (the ground keeper) was right on time with set up for internet and television functions and ANYTHING else you will need to know about the property. He is always attentive, and never annoying. In my opinion, he should be your go to guy for everything that pertains to the island, as well as services for the property. All in all I felt as though I was at home in this property. I love this property and will make trips back to the island with Mr. Chase being my first call! I am bringing my children this summer and I am sure they will feel at home in this house, as I did when I was there. This is truly a home away from home because this is an incredible place. Even when I returned home Mr. Chase called to ensure that I returned safely and wanted to know of anything I could think of to add or take away from the property to make the guest more comfortable and that speaks volumes about the type person he is as well as the care and concern he has for his guest."

  • Great vacation

"We just came back from Christmas/New Years vacation. We are absolutely in love with Barbados and the place. The villa and its location are great. Communication with the owners was flawless plus they provided a plethora of helpful information. We decided to take it easy and not rent a car so that we would not be driving around all day long checking out the island. About a month before the vacation we changed our minds and tried to rent a car but had no luck as we were visiting during the busiest season. We are glad we did not get the car as the location of the villa does not really require you to have one. The beach is outside the door. There is also a boardwalk that takes you to Accra beach (our favorite) and surfing/scuba spots is just a walk away (not on Boardwalk but in the beach). You can catch a route taxi that will get you to Bridgetown or St. Laurence Gap in minutes. You can take a bus or a cab to go anywhere else and avoid dealing with tiny roads and driving on the "wrong" side of the road (we are from US). We are looking forward to coming back."

  • Seagrass

"Had a wonderful stay at Seagrass. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Spacious and clean. I would stay there again. It was close enough to everything to go by foot. Thanks again!"

Christ Church Travel Tips

Things to do From Your Christ Church Vacation Rentals Base

Barbados’s unique claim to fame is that it is the most easterly island in the Caribbean. Although it is just 21 miles long and 14 miles wide, it packs a great deal into its limited space. The island is fairly flat and has an excellent local transport system which makes it very easy to get around and explore this true Caribbean gem. Further inland, the island has lush vegetation which is home to some unique and extraordinary wildlife.

Christ Church is in the southernmost parish and known for its superb beaches. It is one of the quieter areas of Barbados but the livelier towns of Oistins and Bridgetown are close. Christ Church has plenty of local shops where you can buy fruit and provisions as well as fresh fish. With a vacation villa, you can quickly adapt to the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle.

Barbados offers some unique opportunities for things to do around the island. You can swim in the clear waters with the giant sea turtles or take a trip to Harrison’s Cave. The quieter east coast of Barbados has some magnificent waves rolling ashore near Bathsheba.

Snorkelers and divers will enjoy a catamaran cruise to some of the best spots, where guests can snorkel and dive in the crystal clear warm sea. During the day, most visitors cannot resist heading down to the beautiful beaches.

An island jeep safari is a great way to see the island’s charms further inland. There are also plenty of beautiful hiking trails to see the wildlife, birds and historic monuments which recall Barbados’s interesting past.

Weddings and Honeymoons in Barbados

The Caribbean island of Barbados is always a popular destination for weddings, honeymoons and romantic vacations. It is very easy to arrange a beach wedding through a professional wedding planner. It also keeps costs down as guests generally pay for their own flights and accommodations. The honeymoon begins the minute you say “I do.” With guaranteed sunshine, Barbados is the perfect place to begin your life together.

How to get to the Beautiful Christ Church Beach Rentals

It is very easy to travel to Barbados and to get around this fabulous island. There are international flights daily from North America and Europe. It is three hours 40 minutes flying time from Miami, four hours 20 minutes from New York, five hours from Montreal, eight hours from London and nine hours from Brussels or Frankfurt.

The major airlines serving Barbados are Air Jamaica, American Airlines, US Airways, Air Canada, Caribbean Airlines and British Airways.

Places to Visit From the Well-Located Christ Church Villas

From your Christ Church vacation rentals, St. Lawrence Gap is just a five-minute drive away. “The Gap,” as it is known, is one of the most popular spots for tourists to visit on Barbados. It has excellent restaurants, offering a choice of cuisine and range of prices. After dark, the area is alive with vibrant nightlife in the local bars.

Oistins is just a short trip from Christ Church and a pretty fishing village. On Friday nights, everyone lets their hair down to the sound of Caribbean music. Colorful shacks serve authentic Caribbean food such as fish fry at low prices and the local rum flows freely. For a great beach party atmosphere, Oistins is hard to beat.

What to Expect Weather-Wise in Barbados

The beauty of the Caribbean is that it is beautifully warm and sunny all year-round. Temperatures are always reliably high, between 75 and 85 F (24 to 29 C). If that sounds a little too hot, the prevailing northeast trade winds generally keep the island pleasantly fresh. Barbados does get some rain, generally between July and December, but it falls as short sharp showers which quickly disappear. The island enjoys eight hours of sunshine per day on average, and 10 hours of sunshine per day between January and March, at a time when the northerly United States are shivering!
