"We had a great time staying at the house! The location could not have been better: 7 minutes from the beach, at the beginning of Barbados "fancy coast" (lined with fancy hotels, fancy bars and fancy restaurants), halfway between Holetown and Bridgetown, and - if you care for discovering places using the racy yellow buses playing reggae music - with a bus in either direction every five minutes. At the same time the house is beautifully quiet and located on a hill with amazing views onto the sea - and you can enjoy this view either seated by the pool, lounging on the rooftop or while having dinner on the balcony. It had more bedrooms than we needed but its upside down style with three levels meant that it flexibly adjusts to parties of any size. We are already planning our next stay!"Guest: Mel Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: March 23, 2014View listing
"We chose the Weston house to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren. And we are glad we did! Arriving frazzled and hungry from the flight and travel, Deborah and her team immediately made feel relaxed and welcomed. They took care of everything. After purchasing groceries, I was ready to put them away. "No, no, we will do that." said Deborah and they took them and put them away for us. At that point I realized, now this is the start of vacation. On Saturday night, Deborah had a delicious meal of flying fish and chicken prepared and served to us. For breakfast, we were on our own, which was nice because it gave everyone time to linger at their own morning pace. Since we had 2 toddlers and a baby with us, we did not venture out too much. Though, we did go to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve (Deborah's suggestion) and the St. Nicholas Abbey. Otherwise, we lounged around the pool, the gazebo and the beach. Weston House had a kayak which our family really enjoyed. We snorkled, swam, lounged and made sand castles on their lovely and peaceful beach. I cannot say enough about the Weston House. We had enough room for all 9 of us to spread around. Deborah and her team were warm, friendly and helpful. And by the way, Deobrah is an amazing cook, she even shared recipes with me. For me, one of the highlights of this vacation was everyday they did our laundry. I felt like a queen. For our 40th Wedding anniversary we wanted a vacation that our family and us could remember for years and years. The Weston House delivered that and more. Thank you Deborah, Alisia & Victoria for a vacation of a lifetime! Eileen, Ken & family."Guest: Eileen Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 25, 2014View listing
"From the moment we stepped on to the terrace at SeaShells we immediately felt welcomed and that our holiday had finally arrived. SeaShells has a natural calming atmosphere; the apartment is beautiful and everything we needed or required was there at our finger tips. Although my husband and I were exploring the island most days and having many a lazy day on the beaches for most of our holiday, it was so nice to go back to SeaShells knowing it was our home from home for the duration of our stay. We highly recommend SeaShells as a definite place to stay whilst visiting Barbados; we will definitely be booking it again. Thank you very much to the owners and the manager for making our Island holiday a most memorable one."Guest: SJ Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 20, 2014View listing

Swim with the Giant Sea Turtles Near Your St. James Beach Rentals
The parish of St. James has a rich history, dating back to 1625 when the first British settlers arrived. The city of Holetown was originally known as Jamestown in honor of the King. It is the oldest town on Barbados. The original inhabitants consisted of 50 settlers and 10 slaves. With an abundance of restaurants and great shopping, the area around St. James villas is the heart of the tourist area. Here, visitors can explore one of the few remaining working sugar factories at Portvale Sugar Factory and the historic St. James Parish Church. This church is on one of the oldest consecrated pieces of land on the island and is known as "God’s acre." A church has stood on this site since 1628, and visitors may enjoy a wander through the graveyard to see the resting place of many of the original British settlers. Visitors to St. James rentals will find a beautiful area, with a very social atmosphere.
Certainly, the main attraction of St. James is the beaches. The miles of bright white sand and crystal clear waters provide visitors with the island’s best beaches within easy reach of St. James vacation rentals. Those who enjoy swimming and snorkeling will want to try both Mullins and Heywood beaches. Here, visitors will find a wealth of marine life with tropical fish such as barracuda and giant sea turtles. Both beaches have a variety of cafes and snack shacks along the beach.
