"This was a very relaxing week surrounded by blue water and sand, far from snow and closed schools and workplaces. We enjoyed toasting the sunsets from the patio on day one, and floating peacefully in the crystal blue water on lazy mornings just steps from the patio and wandering along beaches past palms, coral and bougainvillea, ginger and Bird of Paradise flowers. The community of like minded tenants were friendly and helpful, sharing favorite day trips and island favorite destinations . We enjoyed several very nice, sophisticated restaurants and several authentic Bajen menu features, rum bars and walk-up shops. We had breakfast at the Polo field while attending a craft fair. All part of the experience of Barbados. The cuisine was wonderful and the fresh fish plentiful from flying fish to barracuda. The tropical plants and foliage were indescribably beautiful at every stop throughout the island. We deplaned and stopped on the way home to tour a local rum distillery dating back centuries; we ended the week relaxing in a private garden tucked into this tropical paradise. You will find a car necessary to get to the many special towns and sites but it is easy to find your way. Take friends or family and rejuvenate yourselves and enjoy a week you will not soon forget."Guest: Virginians Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 29, 2014View listing

"We stayed at this studio while friends stayed in the ground floor apartment for 5 weeks from March till April and had a fantastic stay, the owners are very helpful and super friendly, the weather ways fantastic, and the beach was great with locals doing there morning walks and also horses stretching their legs and having a dip, no hassle unlike other beaches on the island. The studio was very spacious super clean and perfect for my husband and 3 year old daughter, the grounds man and cleaner and security where all lovely people too. Our friends loved the apartment, with the porch and BBQ area that was great in the evening and also to get out of the sun the garden was big with plenty of space to run around.i can not recommend the sandbox enough we had such a good time and would love to return again the owners have a super place and where super people. A massive thank you to them all can't wait to return."Guest: Ellen Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: July 20, 2014View listing
