  • "My family and i have stayed at Greenacres five times now, it is wonderful. The bungalow is very spacious, clean with everything you require for a comfortable and pleasent stay. There are plenty of beautiful beaches within easy driving distance and gorgeous views from the bungalow across fields to the sea. We could not ask for anything more and will be returning again very soon."

  • Best Holiday Ever

"I loved staying at Mullins Heights Barbados. I truly fell in love with the island and the people. The owners were really lovely and nothing was to much for them, they organised a car to meet us at the airport as we have never been to the island before and also arranged for us to have some basic provisions for when we arrived. The apartments were clean and tidy and perfect for me, my husband and our son. There was everything in the apartment that we need so cooking for my son was very easy. The beach was only a short distance away where we did lots of water sports and relaxing. The nearest towns were only 10 minutes away on bus so a car is not really needed. I would like to thank the owners for such a fantastic holiday and if we return to Barbados we would come back to Mullins Heights"

  • Holiday Bliss! Happy New Year: December, 2010

"We travel quite a bit - sometimes stay at resorts and sometimes rent houses. This is the first time we feel compelled to write a review. What a wonderful time we had in Barbados - much of the positive experience was because of the great accommodations and wonderful people at Villa Magna. The house has Mediterranean styling with a great layout. The pictures do not do it justice. It feels like you're in a private oasis when sitting around the pool - the views are breathtaking! The neighbours are great (they told us to say that :)). The Villa owner's parents are one side and on the other is Karen who competently and patiently handled all rental booking details with us. The owner, Roddy, lives two doors down. Karen arranged a van to get us at the airport and groceries for our arrival. Roddy met us at the house and showed us around when we arrived. We had phone problems and the issue was promptly rectified. Housecleaning was done mid-week by two very nice ladies who wouldn't take no for an answer - even after saying not to bother with a few of the chores, they couldn't leave without doing a comprehensive job. Roddy dropped by during the week to make sure everything was OK. Needless to say, the service was as great as the house. Speaking of the house...there are 3 nice bedrooms: a large self contained unit w/ a king bed that has a small kitchenette, private patio and ensuite bathroom; one with a queen bed w/ a private patio, access to the pool and ensuite bathroom; and one with twin beds w/ a small balcony and a bathroom next door. The AC worked like a charm for comfortable sleeping (although the tree frogs are loud!). There are 4 bathrooms – 3 mentioned above and a 2 piece off the living area. We can't comment on the TVs or living space as we spend most waking hours outdoors. We cooked most meals at the house. Our only 'beef' would be the kitchen – it’s a bit small and appliances (fridge, stove top, oven, dishwasher) work well enough but could be upgraded. The dining room sat 6 comfortably and dishes were plentiful. Last, the pool was clean and regular maintenance ensured it stayed that way. The area around the pool is a little snug...would help to change the round patio table to a rectangular one and have seating for six (though we managed to improvise). And finally-did we mention the spectacular views...and watching the fireworks NYE from the upper gazebo was awesome!! Thanks Karen and Roddy - we wish we could have stayed forever!"

  • Very nice house away from busy Bridgetown

"This is a very nice well kept house about 15 miles North of Bridgetown. If you don't mind being away from the action you will love this place. One drawback is no air conditioning but, they have several fans in the house to help keep things cool. I especially liked the patio and the visiting Gecko lizard, cute little fellow. When you stay here, remember you are in the Tropics and will need ear plugs to block out the crazy cockodoodledooing of the Roosters early in the morning, they start at 03:30 :( Another nice aspect of this house is the washer and dryer access, no need to bring a lot of clothes, it will give you room for bringing souveniers back home. The people of Barbados are the friendliest I have ever encountered. I certainly plan to go again!"
