  • Beautiful and convenient

"We loved being in a quiet neighbourhood. The beach was there for our convenience. Whenever we wanted a swim, we just went down to the back yard. It was a quiet beach. We appreciated that as we do not like those busy European beaches. We could not believe that some days we practically had the beach to ourselves. We spent our afternoons staring at the turquoise waters while sipping rum and Coke. My 88 year old dad got a kick out of watching the cruise ships come and go. Great location from which to tour. One work of advice. It you find yourselves going up the west coast, north of Holetown, there is a bar called Mullins Bay Bar. Nice location but total rip off. You can get better value elsewhere. Thanks to Stephen for picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. Stephen, you are the best taxi on the island. We hope to return next year."

  • Wonderful Barbados garden cottages

"Set in lovely gardens populated by tortoises, hens and numerous birds the cottages are within a short walk of the beach and frequent buses to Bridgetown. The cottages are fully equipped with large fridge freezer, cooker and microwave if you wish to self cater. Alternatively there are several restaurants within walking distance for eating out. Barbara welcomed us with a cold beer and provided us with some lovely home made cakes during our stay. Whether you want to laze in the gardens, on the beach, explore Barbados or go to the cricket in Bridgetown this is the perfect accommodation"

  • Lovely place, well designed

"The place rivals top hotels in its design, decor, location and views. Very nice to take in the wonderful view while cooking in your outdoor kitchen and dining outside. Directly on the beach. If you wish to explore the island, you need to make friends, hire taxis or rent a car as the location is a bit isolated (not necessarily a negative if you wish to get away from it all). Truly stunning apartment."

St. Philip Travel Tips

Getting to St. Philip Vacation Rentals

The Grantley Adams International Airport is the main access point for the island of Barbados. The airport hosts regularly scheduled flights from most Caribbean, North American, and European airlines. To get from the airport to your vacation home, you can make use of the local taxi service, hire a car, or for that special occasion, rent a limousine.

Things to See and Do near St. Philip Resorts

When staying at St. Philip, you can be as active or as leisurely as you like. Enjoy the stunning beaches, work on your tan and take a refreshing swim in the sea from time to time. Watch the sunrise from your porch or take an early morning stroll along the beach. There are few things that compare to the beauty of an ocean sunrise.

Barbados has a number of interesting historic and cultural sites. The island was once a major hub for the slave trade, and there are a number of monuments and museums on the island that are interesting to visit. There are several old Anglican Church buildings that you can visit and walk around. The beautiful architecture of St. Philip Church, St. Catherine’s Church or the Holy Trinity Church will astound you; they all make excellent subjects for photographs.

Rum has been a large part of the Barbados industry over the years. Take an excursion to the Four Square Rum Distillery and Heritage Park where you can tour the rum factory. The grounds of the heritage used to be a children’s amusement park but it is no longer in operation. It is still nice to stroll the grounds though.

Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a round at the 18-hole championship Barbados Golf Club. The golf course is located on the southern side of the island and has fantastic views from the greens. It became a PGA approved golf course in 2003.

Stylish Comfort at St. Philip Villas

In recent years, St. Philip has been the location of several new residential developments. Many of the homes in these developments are available as vacation rentals, offering guests a chance to experience the tranquility of St. Philip. The villas are built in a variety of styles but almost all are stylishly furnished with modern textiles and appliances. Many have sweeping views over the bay and easy access to the beachfront. Large wooden decks provide an area where you can enjoy social gatherings or dine al fresco on a warm summer night. The homes are generally quite large and can accommodate families or small groups of friends. Spacious living areas ensure that you never feel crowded. Perhaps one of the great benefits of the vacation homes in St. Philip is that they offer an affordable accommodation option when staying in Barbados.
