"Just returned home from Barbados. Stayed at Suits Me Coast home. Fantastic location! Great beach! House is undergoing some necessary updating in the next couple of weeks. Highly recommend it! Harriet (manager) is an amazing lady. So accommodating and friendly. A true GEM! Always concerned we had what we needed."Guest: Laura Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 2, 2014View listing
"Best rental stay we have made. Trevor was gracious enough to pick us up on Saturday night and give us a quick tour so we could get our bearings. Maria`s rum punch was poured as soon as our bags were dropped and then we went straight to the gap , a short 2-3 minute walk. Excellent location close to the bars and restaurants of the Gap with easy Bus route access for getting around the island. The use of a local cell phone and landline while on the island was an excellent bonus.Wireless also good for internet to check out and make reservations for excursions restaurants etc etc. Trevor was there on Sunday to see us off. Although on the main road and close to the Gap we slept with no problems.Probably the rum punch along with the hum of the AC and fans kept us in dream land. Would reccommend this apartment to anyone for location and Trevor and Maria`s great hospitality. I hope the Brazil airline keeps the service running so we can return again soon."Guest: Paul S. "We stayed at this studio while friends stayed in the ground floor apartment for 5 weeks from March till April and had a fantastic stay, the owners are very helpful and super friendly, the weather ways fantastic, and the beach was great with locals doing there morning walks and also horses stretching their legs and having a dip, no hassle unlike other beaches on the island. The studio was very spacious super clean and perfect for my husband and 3 year old daughter, the grounds man and cleaner and security where all lovely people too. Our friends loved the apartment, with the porch and BBQ area that was great in the evening and also to get out of the sun the garden was big with plenty of space to run around.i can not recommend the sandbox enough we had such a good time and would love to return again the owners have a super place and where super people. A massive thank you to them all can't wait to return."Guest: Ellen Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: July 20, 2014View listing
"Just returned from a beautiful 3 week stay in Barbados and this Villa was fantastic! It had all the comforts of home without the -28 degrees weather and the snow :) of course. Sunny almost every day and beautiful beaches all around. Our hosts tended to our every need and went above and beyond to help us all have such a great time. The staff did a great job keeping our home clean and tidy and were wonderful to chat with and even arranged for us to have some local cooking brought in which was delicious. The small pool in the back yard was all we needed after a busy day running around the island and having the use of a lovely BBQ on the patio complete with decorative lights and all was superb!! We made friendships we will cherish and definitely plan to return next year. We are regulars to the island and enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of the busier tourist areas, but used the buses and the friendly cabs to go anywhere we needed. Only a 15 minute bus ride for $1 U.S. to Bridgetown or Holetown and a 5-8 minute walk down the hill to our own private beach Batts rock (there was hardly anyone there that why we called it "private") which was awesome for swimming and just relaxing in the sun. 10 minute walk to supermarket and a free shuttle van to bring us back with our groceries was great. The road we were on was quiet and always felt safe neighbors where very friendly. We all send a huge thank you to Best E Villas for making our stay the best yet!!!"Guest: Jan S. St. Philip Travel Tips
Getting to St. Philip Vacation Rentals
The Grantley Adams International Airport is the main access point for the island of Barbados. The airport hosts regularly scheduled flights from most Caribbean, North American, and European airlines. To get from the airport to your vacation home, you can make use of the local taxi service, hire a car, or for that special occasion, rent a limousine.
Things to See and Do near St. Philip Resorts
When staying at St. Philip, you can be as active or as leisurely as you like. Enjoy the stunning beaches, work on your tan and take a refreshing swim in the sea from time to time. Watch the sunrise from your porch or take an early morning stroll along the beach. There are few things that compare to the beauty of an ocean sunrise.
Barbados has a number of interesting historic and cultural sites. The island was once a major hub for the slave trade, and there are a number of monuments and museums on the island that are interesting to visit. There are several old Anglican Church buildings that you can visit and walk around. The beautiful architecture of St. Philip Church, St. Catherine’s Church or the Holy Trinity Church will astound you; they all make excellent subjects for photographs.
Rum has been a large part of the Barbados industry over the years. Take an excursion to the Four Square Rum Distillery and Heritage Park where you can tour the rum factory. The grounds of the heritage used to be a children’s amusement park but it is no longer in operation. It is still nice to stroll the grounds though.
Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a round at the 18-hole championship Barbados Golf Club. The golf course is located on the southern side of the island and has fantastic views from the greens. It became a PGA approved golf course in 2003.
Stylish Comfort at St. Philip Villas
In recent years, St. Philip has been the location of several new residential developments. Many of the homes in these developments are available as vacation rentals, offering guests a chance to experience the tranquility of St. Philip. The villas are built in a variety of styles but almost all are stylishly furnished with modern textiles and appliances. Many have sweeping views over the bay and easy access to the beachfront. Large wooden decks provide an area where you can enjoy social gatherings or dine al fresco on a warm summer night. The homes are generally quite large and can accommodate families or small groups of friends. Spacious living areas ensure that you never feel crowded. Perhaps one of the great benefits of the vacation homes in St. Philip is that they offer an affordable accommodation option when staying in Barbados.
