  • Excellent value, great location, affordable rental car, great owner and caretaker!

"We had our wedding in Aruba and needed to find a place for some family members. We have a timeshare at the Marriott Surf Club, but we had a large group (16 people) so we decided to rent this house in addition to the timeshare. It was really one of the best decisions we made for our trip! Our family stayed here for about a week. My parents stayed here and they really enjoyed it because of its convenience and spaciousness. To save on costs, we cooked some of our meals and found that having a large kitchen and dining area for the family to convene and eat together was great! The two bathrooms were huge! The house is clean and it's close enough to all of the hotels in the Palm Beach area that it was very convenient. Additionally, it's very close to some very delicious, local restaurants including The Old Cunucu House restaurant, which was recommended to us by Elvin (he is the house's caretaker and overall, very great guy!) and 2 Fools and a Bull. Overall, it was really great! Elvin was very helpful and assisted us in getting transport from the airport to the house. Eileen was very good in communicating with us and answering any questions we had. We would recommend renting the truck: it is cheaper than renting from a car rental place and having the truck was just super convenient for whenever we needed to go anywhere. We rented a large minibus since our family was so large but the truck was very convenient for quick trips to the Aruba Surf Club or beach. Just be warned that there are stray dogs and chickens roaming the area. It's very safe in the area, but don't expect a tourist spot. Personally, we liked that there were no tourists lingering about. The next neighbor was very nice! The hotspot is a must! The house is also very close to a KFC, Chinese Take-out place, a Catholic Church, and a local supermarket. Some recommendations we would have for travelers: look through the coupons they give you at the airport, it'll save you money! You can get a free drink from the Old Cunucu House using one of those coupons! We would definitely recommend renting this house. Eileen is a great "landlord", Elvin a great caretaker and local connection, and the value for the house is just excellent! Aruba is so safe that you really don't need to worry about being off the resort and being at the house just gives you more chances to explore the island! The north shore is absolutelyyyyy amazing!!!"

  • Very Solid Choice for Jamaica Exploration Base

"Villa Rendezvous was the perfect location for our party of 10 (5 Adults and 5 Kids) to use as a base for our exploration of the North Coast of Jamaica. The owner, Doug, was a very good source of information prior to our arrival, easy to communicate with, made sure that our arrival transportation was seamless, and that we arrived to a fully stocked, spotless villa. The Villa itself is in a good location, up the hill a ways from the beach, which affords for really good views of probably 10 miles of coastline. The villa's 5 bedrooms, public areas, verandas, pool, grounds, etc. are all top notch, very clean, in very good condition and maintained to a very high standard, you would be hard pressed to find anything that is less than 'excellent' throughout. You are within 30-45 minutes of every attraction you would want to do over the course of the week, and the local beach is great for those days or afternoons that you want to stay local. Good spots for lunch (eat in or take out) are within a 10 minute drive. The Villa staff each perform their tasks in a friendly, unobtrusive manner, and are really a pleasure to have around. Ms. Tiny and Ms. Betsy prepare a really good variety of meals for breakfast and dinner, so good that we only went out twice for dinner. The service they provide during mealtime is excellent, you are truly a guest and made to feel as such. Lawford maintains the grounds, cleans the pool each day, and does a fine job on the grill. Between the three of them, they keep the place absolutely spotless. Hiring Andrew for Transportation for the week is a no brainer, he will prove to be your tour guide for the week, and will take you to a good mix of on and off the beaten path spots. Our entire group of people from age 8 to 76 could not have been happier with our time spent at Rendezvous Villa!"

  • Sailing US & British Virgin Islands March 2015

"On my husband’s “bucket” list was sailing on a monohull in the Caribbean. And how unbelievably fortunate we were to find Captain Dave Goodman and “Admiral” Bobbie Rae and their sailboat, the Bel Ami, to allow us to check this off his list. We are senior citizens, were first timers for sailing on a large boat in an ocean, and had only previously experienced the Caribbean through day stops from large cruise ship travels. So we were unsure of what to expect - what to pack, where would we be going, what would we be doing on and off the boat, safety, being with new acquaintances in “close quarters.” But through phone conversations, emails, and preference lists with Captain Dave days before our departure and from our initial interaction with him and Bonnie Rae, we instantly knew we had “scored a home run.” Captain Dave and Bobbie Rae picked us up in their dingy at Secret Harbor Beach, got us and our luggage aboard, and then Bonnie Rae gave us an informational tour of the boat while Dave prepared the boat for “take off.” This was the first example of the many ways they worked so well together as a team. Our room had plenty of storage, well-appointed (bed with multiple pillows and ocean-themed coverlet), TV with over 100 movies available (we had time for only 1), luxurious towels. Captain Dave reviewed options that were possible for the remainder of the day, based on that day’s weather conditions, where we were, where we could get to, and possible activities at our destination. This was the procedure he followed each day. But being “newbies,” we generally deferred to his expertise. We appreciated being included on making decisions, but his amazing insight, after only a short amount of time, about our personalities, our interests, our physical abilities, led to each day being perfectly designed just for us. Captain Dave and Bobbie Rae were keen on being sure each part of our trip was to our liking. How does Dave create those awesome breakfasts, lunches, and dinners in that tiny galley? And where does he store all the ingredients? We love all kinds of music and love to dance. Not only did we experience famous island venues for music and dancing, but also Dave’s onboard extensive music selections and his expertise on the accordion, with Bobbie Rae as backup singer, led to dancing and singing on board. No matter your interests, your level of sailing experience, your age, be sure to put a check mark by Bel Ami, Captain Dave and Bonnie Rae."

  • Perfect Location - Perfect Accommodations

"E-107 Sapphire Beach Resort was fantastic. For starters, the owners of the Condo, Susan and Mark Twardoski, were so helpful and informative when planning our trip. I've never experience an owner so willing to make our trip perfect. The accommodations were perfect and well furnished. Ideally located on the east side of the Island, you had access to all the beautiful beaches and Red Hook Marina for ferry's, boat excisions, rentals, dining and night life. We very much enjoyed waking up on the beach and seeing St Johns and the sunrise. Sapphire Beach also allows for interaction with other vacationers or seclusion; the choice is yours. We also enjoyed being right next door to the Marina. We actually booked a dinner cruise (Horizon - Capt. John - Fantastic fun) that sailed from there. At the suggestion of Susan, we also bought fresh Mahi right off a fishing boat for the fraction of the cost of buying it at the store (great tip). As a heads up and no reflection on our accommodations, be prepared for the possibility of losing power on the Island occasionally. It usually only lasts for a couple of hours but can be very inconvenient if it is during meal time. If you want to stay on a beautiful beach, see beautiful sunrises and marvel at the surrounding beauty, E-107 is the perfect place. ENJOY!!!!!"
