  • Wow!!!! 11 out of 10!!!

"I stayed in apartment 3 at Rosalie with my three friends for two weeks and fell in love with everything about this place!!! From eating breakfast overlooking the breathtaking ocean view to making the yummiest breakfast in my dream kitchen while bumping the bajan beats on the super bass sound system located in the apartment!! :) When we did decide to sleep, each of the four bedrooms had the most comfortable beds and the rooms were immaculately clean with a fully functioning air conditioning system. The location was fantastic in easy reach of Miami beach and down the road from Oistins and St Lawrence Gap. Lisa and Diane, the domestics, were lovely and very helpful and made us feel right at home. Overall, I would return to Rosalie in a heartbeat and found it very emotional when it was time to leave as it felt like a home away from home. Apartment 3 easily contributed to making this vacation one of a kind and one that the four of us will never forget!!!! Lots of love from, Natalie, Yeliz, Sharene & Sema"

  • Coco House - A taste of paradise!

"We stayed in the delightful Coco House in August 2013 for two weeks and I must say we all had an absolutely fantastic time. The house itself has a really welcoming feel to it, with an outstanding outdoor terrace with views of the lovely surrounding area and the sea. So relaxing at the end of the day! Just sit and look out (with a cocktail!) and admire the view. We had hired a car, so visiting the whole island was no problem at all, and we went several times to Bridgetown and the exciting beaches (and waves) to the east of the island. We especially loved the quiet coves you can find by exploring the northern tip of the island. Our son (aged 9 years old) adored the whole holiday and loved sailing (at an excellent sailing club) and swimming in the beautiful large clubhouse "infinity" pool with its stunning views. There is a nice atmosphere there and we met some lovely people at the pool, although it is so spacious there that you can always find a quiet corner if you want to have a snooze! It never gets really busy. You can have delicious food and drinks at the restaurant there (lunchtime snacks or evening meals!). Really welcoming staff, who are all extremely helpful. Tennis courts are also available and we enjoyed playing in the late afternoon when it was a little cooler. A short drive takes you down to a wonderful sandy beach (the lovely Lone Star restaurant which is on the beach at the water's edge!) and swimming with the many beautiful turtles just off the shore was a highlight of the trip. I cannot recommend Coco House highly enough. We'll definitely soon be back and it was very hard to say goodbye to the house and the whole Sugar Hill Resort. A wonderful holiday address - 5 stars!!"

  • Bellehaven is THE place to stay on the island

"We loved this house so much the first time that we rented it again, and fell in love all over again. The house is spectacular and I really can't say enough positive things about it. Truly, there are no negatives. It's exactly what you want in a vacation home away from home. Don't doubt me, just book the house...you won't be disappointed!"

  • Excellent !

"Sunset and Surf house exceeded our expectations ! Photo's do not do it justice. We stayed in the upper floor two bedroom unit . Wonderful views of the Caribbean Sea from the balcony , loved watching the cruise ships come and go. The house is a short walk to the beach , bus stop and grocery store. We only had a rental car for part of our stay but were able to travel very easily via the buses . Holetown and Bridgetown are both just short bus rides away. We enjoyed being in a less touristy area , the neighbours are all very friendly and we soon felt like part of the neighbourhood . Misti responded promptly and knowledgeably to all our queries . We were fortunate that Misti stayed in the bottom floor apartment for a time while we were there and we saw first hand how she takes pride in her property and is always working to maintain and improve it . LOVED the pool , even after a day at the beach we still would use the pool to cool off after our walk home up the hill. The furnishings were all very comfortable, air conditioning worked well and we lucked out with Misti installing a brand new washer and dryer while we were there . We arrived to find a welcome basket with bread, eggs, milk, tea, coffee, butter etc so much appreciated as we arrived late at night after the stores were closed. Only thing missing was a cold beer :) Barbados is not a large island but there is a wealth of things to see and do, we stayed 3 months and still have things to go see if we should ever return to the island. Bajan people are unfailingly friendly, kind and welcoming. One absolute must do is the Friday night fish fry in Oistin 's . We would take the bus earlier in the day and go spend the day at Rockley Beach and then continue the short distance from there to Oistins for the evening. We always felt perfectly safe riding the buses even later at night , the drive sometimes was a little wild but that just makes for good stories when you get home ! The kitchen is well equipped , lots of dishes and pots and pans. Being long stay folks we probably cooked a little more than people would on a shorter vacation . As Canadians we liked that in Barbados many of our Banks have branches there , we saw RBC, Scotiabank and CIBC . It was always easy to find a branch with an ATM to get cash. Thank-you Misti for making a very comfortable home away from home."
